Love the Joy and Excitement Ricky brings to the game and the press conference. Whether his team won or lost he sounds like the coroner announcing the results of his inquest into a double murder. If you have an under 7s thinking of giving up league for soccer, ballet or video games just show em Ricky and he will inspire them to realize how much fun rugby league is.

Penrith were too good but they got a huge leg up ..that penalty for having blockers protecting the kicker was something I have seen done for thirty years without a penalty..the bunker ruling against Panther drop ball ..a high shot on Rapana let go..

I am too but if you look at their GF losses and drop off after he just grinds teams down into tired and stale sides. Looking back i'm pretty sure 2002 was more Freddie than Ricky. Once Freddie retired that side dropped off even with sticky as coach

NRL is unpredictable. 4 weeks ago you’d have knights a top 8 certainty and now they’re 14th. 2 weeks ago you’d have had tigers for the spoon and now they’ve won 2 on the bounce against top 8 sides. In this sport injuries happen and if Penrith lose Yeo or Luai or Cleary even for just a couple of weeks at the business end of the season it could well be game over.

True Ricky always blaming the refs for his team's performance. Maybe his team needs discipline on the paddock & learn how to play. The Chooks always have the penalty count against them but can still win the game. Robbo never blames the refs, he blames his team's lack of discipline. It's time for Ricky to stop making excuses & realise his coaching & coaching style might not be so great or his style might not be suited to his squad, maybe all the poms in his squad are a reason too.
Ricky needs to step down as head coach and the coaching staff and bring back Tim Sheen's, and Eddie Jones as head coach with furner as assistant coach with Laurie Daley as assistant???? We need the best coaching staff ever

@@gideonlau2707 😂😂😂😂 the raiders game plan was to slow the Penrith ruck and get them into a gritty game …. Their middles couldn’t even get back 10 and they were trying like crazy to slow the ruck down, I could only count 2 penalties that were 50/50 but the rest were Canberras own doing.

So many of the low team wonder round as if all the time in the world, then a 6 again call against them. The good team never stop moving , never flat footed, they want to win, but win by being very professional. 9-1 penalty count speaks volumes. cheers robin

People saying certain teams are “Protected” lol have a serious listen to yourselves…..
So all the League Execs get together and decide on purposely to favour these teams, pass on the message to the refs, linesman, Bunker and other prominent figures who look after a game and instruct them to let a team win and do it all right in front of our eyes.
If all the people you mentioned were fully independent you may have had a valid point, but who are they employed by, the NRL isn't it?

No one is saying there is a conscious conspiracy to protect teams. It's more likely that there is an unconscious bias to give the top teams the beneficial 50/50 calls. Graham Annesley even admitted as much and it works like the homeside advantage - it exists but its not massive. In this case Panthers had the benefit of being premiers playing at home ... but also canberra sucked
The pen refs are the most protected piggybacked team in the NRL.

If people can't see the protection and piggybacking the panfers receive week in week out? They must be blind or just stupid or maybe both. Grant Atkins penrith referee's association ref? A stupid bunker that can't even see a dropped ball lose carry, and a smorgasbord of piggy back penalties. Pretty much a regular game for penrith. The first 20 minutes or so it must of killed Atkins the whistle was kept in the pocket. Score 6 all! Then wallop let the piggy backing roll. The second half Ricky's raiders were smothered on there try line couldn't even buy a penalty or a set restart. Every time the panfers can't break the 20m gaurenteed piggy back penalty. It's getting to a point where they'll have to wear masks cause it's criminal and the punters aren't stupid.
@ Rabbitohs Rule - most bunnies fans I know are good people, you must be an embarrassment to them with your stupid conspiracy theories. The bunker ruling on the ball strip was 100% correct, you can see it from the live footage at 36.27 into the game. The slo-mo replays didn't show that angle, but it was clearly evident live. The officials also missed another blatant strip from Harawira Neara in exactly the same field position at 10.09 into the game. Every one of the penalties against Canberra was warranted, and there could have been a couple of others. They clearly went into the game with a plan to slow down the ruck. They would have had another penalty against them in the 14th minute had Creighton not scored because their number 3 (Kokomo?) was offside by about 3 metres.

I love realising how much Penrith are being immortalised around Nathan Cleary who in my mind is a good player but is massively protected. Why you may ask??? Truly it comes down to buying officials and making sure results go the way it should go. Use the refs, bunker and any form adjudication to distort the outcome. This all comes down to Ivan Cleary push and influence in politics of the game. To me this is why NRL should’ve dissolved into nothing. There should’ve been no money coming forth from Govt during Covid. Get NSWRL back in and foundation clubs. People need to remember Penrith was the team that got absolutely smashed in every game and got all wooden spoons until the mid 80’s. So 20 years in my view they shouldn’t have been given a licence by NSWRL they should’ve been Western Suburbs Magpies. If they didn’t like it no inclusion for a team that didn’t go through infancy period 1st World War, Great Depression & 2nd World War. To be thrown in the toilet by a new upstart that only exists because of Super League is an insult. They can manipulate, artificially construct or even cheat there way to a legacy. They still fail. 1908 foundation clubs are the only way to go & for me Roosters are a foundation club and they have automatic immunity. Panthers are a no body team.

She said you live in Penrith and you wear that Jersey. I said because I was raised in Chatswood and lived there for my first 10 years as a kid. I retained my love for the bears even after they were excluded by the rubbish & fake criteria. My team was a foundation club that voted for the existence of Manly Sea Eagles into the comp, just like that we got spat out.

For me i remember my dad taking me to the old sydney sports ground supporring the roosters. That game i got to see Brandy and brad izzard in the choccy soldier outfits destroy the chooks and my change to support the pamfers. Being a mountains local everyone at my school supported bulldogs tigers eels. I was only one that supported the local team. But to see the history of the club evolve has been amazing so your comment about nobody team i dont agree.

Who are they to Rugby League a team that emerged in 1967 to tell a team that endured the hardest period in games history we should be the new team. Plus if it wasn’t for Magpies expansion to the Western Suburbs, there would be no Parramatta or Penrith. However Panthers chose super league & its legacy still lives on. AFL lives on because when Brisbane Bears took over Fitzroy Lions, who won in that takeover it was Lions. Because of history of that club. The Brisbane team took the team logo, song & club colours. What did we do in league is keep propping up hopeless case teams with no history like Sharks & Panthers. Sharks are just an offshoot of the Dragons. Those teams didn’t endure any of the struggles & pains of foundation teams or even clubs like Dragons or Bulldogs who emerged in 20’s & 30’s. Now we have to pay for Cleary loyalty, the guy is a prostitute it’s all about his legacy at the expense of the club. Panthers will feel that pain like he did to the Tigers.
