This is the band that most sincerely conveys emotions, this song is a perfect reflection. This is a beautiful but above all sincere ballad. Many bands can sound fake when they try to sound emotional, this is not a problem for Band Maid for sure. This song is a great contender to be on par with some of their best ballads.
I read somewhere on the Band-Maid reddit that " if Conqueror and Unseen World were to have a baby together, Epic Narratives would be the beautiful baby." I'm starting to agree.
This is the "Daydreaming/Wonderland" we need and I know it's grow on me massively. Already just a touch of onions in those rising intervals. In a way this mincho saying "well actually this is how you do it sensei Mikey" with no irony.
On that salient note... Forbidden Tale has the wonderful complexity of Corallium. I guess you can never have enough of a good thing if it's Band Maid !
IMO...Band Maid's greatest critical work will also be it's most controversial. It will be the opus with little middle ground. Fans will love it or hate it. Musicians who "get it" will lavish praise on it. The casual fan will try,but ultimately be frustrated that it doesn't live up to the stereotypical Band Maid offering. At least that seems to be the brilliant trajectory they are on...❤️
My pre-order copy arrives tomorrow. I am so excited about their declaring independence and self management on September 25, 2024 by announcing MAIDIT Co. LTD. This is my second pass thru for "The One" and it is a delightfully different direction for Band-Maid. I've come to expect the unexpected from Band-Maid: I can see that they do not want to be categorized as any specific genre and that whatever they try they always apply a heaping helping of "We will do our best!" I found Band-Maid about 3-4 years ago and was amazed at the breadth of their compositions. I was even more surprised to discover that whenever they release new material, I am delighted to see that they are again covering new territory.
The album is very much a 'complete' album. It isn't just a collection of great tracks. Which as a biased fan I love. But as a great fan of Conqueror I do think this album is a great album.
I can't tell if that is a harpsichord or some sort of metal percussion instrument/xylophone at the beginning, but I like it. It could actually be something Kanami synthesized.
As a teen I’d come home after class and throw on Elton John, ‘Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy’, lay down, close my eyes and let the incredible musicians, incredible production, and as you called it, the incredible sound scape get me high (this was before my first ‘weed or acid experience’, but was every bit as good though.) This song reminds me a lots of that … and they just keep getting better.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY need to see this live or an MV cos I have to know WHO is playing the guitar in the left channel, it is usually Miku soo.....
It's good though I think they would be better served doing more hard rock and not quite so many ballads. Thumbs down all you like but this is honest constructive criticism.

I believe the album is their trials of ‘epic narrative’ . and THE ONE is the greatest effort that being along with their seamless patchworks.
My favorite Saiki vocal performance on the album. And it's a great, great mid-tempo song.
It's like a happier cousin to Daydreaming!

This has become my favorite "power ballad" by Band-Maid...or anyone for that matter.

My new favorite bandmaid song.
I'd love to see Kanami to work with a jazz/rock fusion band and compose for film scores.
There is no bottom in the bucket of B-M creativity, what a band Po 👍🍻

Agree about the conqueror vibes this album is great.
