Snuff is one of those songs that you wouldn't think slipknot could do and this is one of the best slow songs you will ever hear, ghe actor in the video is Malcolm mcdowell and yes corey was the woman,he loved his wom so much that he was living her life
This song was released in 2009 on the All Hope is Gone album. Shortly after the album release, the bassist Paul Gray passed away. He was Corey's best friend and this song was one of his favorites. Corey plays this song at his solo acoustic shows in his memory. Joey Jordison was the original drummer of SlipKnot until 2015 and he sadly passed away earlier this year. Both Paul and Joey will truly be missed and both will be forever noted as some of the Metal Elites. #JKFam4Life #Maggots (we the followers of SlipKnot are referred to as Maggots)
Your faces were priceless. I was dying laughing and crying. The video of him as her, was part of the how the music industry works.. Check out live he let's you know.
Thats my favorite sad song ! Amazing to see you guys react to this !!😁❤🤩 he’s singing to was someone very special to him who helped him survive a really dark episode of his life. He ended up falling for her and thought she had similar feelings for him. However, at the end of the day she disappointed him in a really hearthbreaking fashion... You should react to the acoustic version he sang in honor of Paul Grey ( member who died not even a year after the song came out ) !❤
When this song first came out I listen so many time's, crying till my eye's burned. There is a awesome live version with the crowd singing it. ❤ jk bros Edit: already crying and laughing. I still know every single lyric. It's such a beautiful song. Yes it was on repeat after a breakup this one and dead memories is another favorite.
Snuff is definitely one of the best songs they’ve made. So glad you are doing the reaction. May I suggest watching the video for till we die. It’s the song / video they did for their drummer that died. Even if you don’t post the reaction I highly recommend it
YES!!! finally you guys start reacting to some rock/metal…. please keep these coming!!! some great bands are: System Of A Down Godsmack Soundgarden & Audioslave (same singer, different bands) Alice in Chains Nirvana Pearl Jam Korn Deftones Tool Foo Fighters Linkin Park Red Hot Chili Peppers Staind it’s gonna be a long journey for you fellas, but it’s well worth the ride! 🤘
I saw him in person years ago. It is in des Moines iowa at this little unique theater that played rocky horror picture show at midnight every Friday. I didn't know it was him cuz I was rather young and never had seen him without his mask on. I couldn't reach him because he got quickly surrounded. I wasn't going to put all my effort into shaking his hand lol. So I just sat on the side for a min then I left. It was almost 1am I had to go.
I love the live acoustic perf of Corey Taylor more... I play this almost everyday.. Like how he cried at the end of the perf 😢 .. And it was the drummer Joey Jordison who just passed away..
I'm know it's been said but you really need to check out his live acoustic version of this song. The emotions hit harder. Loved the reaction guys like always 💚
They have a behind the scenes footage of this song on here, should react to that. Can see how they captured Corey actually breaking the glass in his hands
The song is about an unrequited love, it is full of regret because he believes he drove her away by confessing his love to her. The video is about his obsession with her and inability to let her go after they split. If he becomes her he never has to let her go, she can never leave his life. The video was written and directed by Shawn "Clown" (percussion) and features cameo appearances by Malcolm McDowell and Ashley Laurence. The story goes that Paul heard Corey working on the song by himself and he was really self-conscious about it but Paul convinced him to keep working on it. Then one day after practice Paul "Pig" (bass), Jim "Jester" (lead guitar) and Joey "Kabuki" (drums) surprised him with some preliminary instrumentals to go along with it and the song became a collaborative effort that the band had not experienced before. That is why it doesn't really stick to any standard song structure. There is more (heavy) history to it but for that you should check out the live acoustic version, it really hits different and yes there is a video for it too.
The original drummer passed away. Interesting to note that Max Weinberg's (drummer from Bruce Springsteen's E-Street band)son is the current drummer for Slipknot. Sad the the video is blocked. Great reaction though!!!
Been waiting for some more Slipknot! Great song! I recommend checking out (sic), Eyeless, Unsainted, Spit it Out (Live at Download 2009), and Disasterpiece.🤘🔥
Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence and leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again So if you love me let me go And run away before I know My heart is just too dark to care I can't destroy what isn? t there Deliver me into my fate If I'm alone I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you Ooh, my smile was taken long ago If I can change I hope I never know I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your lights But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight So save your breath, I will not care I think I made it very clear You couldn't hate enough to love Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend Then I could hurt you in the end I never claimed to be a saint Ooh, my own was banished long ago It took the death of hope to let you go So break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I won't listen to your shame You ran away, you? re all the same Angels lie to keep control Ooh, my love was punished long ago If you still care don't ever let me know If you still care don't ever let me know
If you wanna see more wtf videos with Corey watch Stone Sour - Rose Red Violent Blue. Not a little film music video like this one but it’s a good laugh and song
Thank you thank you THANKKKKKKKK YOU for being literally the only reactors to NOT do the live version🤦♂️. Corey’s vocals are way better and the night of that live performance he was not able to hit a lot of the notes he normally can. Props to you guys
SUPER LATE HERE BUT HERE YA GO FOR THE MEANING… Each part is about love, but each section is different. Part one is is about how he wants her to stay away. It's fate to be alone, and these things only cause pain for him and those involved. It's too late to save him so don't give him false hope by making him fall in love. Part two is after they breakup. He still remembers the good times they had, however long ago. She was making things better, but things got to hard and she left him, at least romantically. She was overwhelmed by his problem(s), and tried to support him as a friend. He thinks that her reasoning is bad and refuses to even listen to her. He can't be her friend, but he also can't hate her because they were so close. It's her own fault because he told her he was too messed up, but she didn't listen. She was his last hope for being better, and he had to give all hope to accept that she's gone. The third part is where he is avoiding her attempts to help. He has a stone will, and she'll break herself trying to get through to him. She can pity him if she wants but it's no difference to him. She gave up on him because she was too weak to stay with him, like he predicted. He doesn't want to hear the reasons why. She left just like everyone else, so the reasons don't really matter. Hope keeps making it seem like there's a chance for him, but it is ultimately manipulation that messes with his head. This always happens to him, and he gives one last warning to stay away. Even if she does really love him, it will only cause more pain. So just stay away, he doesn't want to have hope again just so it can die again. Arguably also about his drummer that died, (not Joey the recent drummer that died)but the bassist Paul Gray. Much love @jkbros xoxo BLD admin/reppin Stevie knight & knox hill PS THE AUCOUSTIC VERSION IS SO 🔥🔥🔥🔥 😘😘
these reactions to rock are great bros, I recommend an old school band called "limp bizkit", it is one of the best rap and rock combinations I have heard I recommend the songs: "break stuff", "my generation", "rollin" and "nookie"
if you want some good guitars, the best band I know that has one of the best guitarists in what I have heard in rock/metal is "Avenged Sevenfold", a (g)old band, his songs are like an experience I recommend the songs: "Nightmare", "Buried Alive", "Hail To The King" and "The Stage"
This song started from a bad place Corey was in following Paul's death and the person that was helping him through he started to get feelings for and the feelings were not shared. Because of this he was broken even further.
Snuff is one of those songs that you wouldn't think slipknot could do and this is one of the best slow songs you will ever hear, ghe actor in the video is Malcolm mcdowell and yes corey was the woman,he loved his wom so much that he was living her life
The original is great, but you guys should definitely check out the acoustic live version!
yes please
Yes. Just to see and hear the emotion.
Pleassseeee
Yea I 2nd this, Corey on his own has the power of a 4 man band.
I agree
This song was released in 2009 on the All Hope is Gone album. Shortly after the album release, the bassist Paul Gray passed away. He was Corey's best friend and this song was one of his favorites. Joey actually “left” in 2013. His last show with slipknot is on UA-cam and you can kinda hear that he’s off due to the disease he had
Fun fact the blood in Corey’s hand was real they did not script for the glass to break but decided to keep the cut
Keep the cut haha puns
@@chrismunoz7859 now that was a bar.
It was Joey Jordison the original drummer from the band who died, the Song is also about his relationship with his Ex Wife since it was after
He also plays it for Paul Grey
The song is played for Paul Grey but the more recent death theyre referring to is Joey jordison, to clarify.
So glad you guys did this one, definitely one of my favorites from them. Another one you guys need to check out is Vermillion pt. 1 and 2.
This is one of my favorite tracks from Slipknot. This whole album was 🔥🔥🔥 You should check out the acoustic version for sure!
HELL FUCK YEAH. I'VE BEEN WAITING MY WHOLE LIFE FOR THIS REACTION
It's about someone who was helping Corey through a rough patch and he developed feelings that weren't reciprocated.
I’m so hyped when I see my favorite Reactors of the Rap Community listen to rock/ Heavy metal 🤘🏼 ✌🏼
Your faces were priceless. I was dying laughing and crying. The video of him as her, was part of the how the music industry works.. Check out live he let's you know.
This reaction was one of the best on UA-cam. This video deserves hella thumbs up.

My favorite slipknot song. Love Corey Taylor. I am a huge slipknot fan but I also love his other Band Stone Sour.
I saw him in person years ago. It is in des Moines iowa at this little unique theater that played rocky horror picture show at midnight every Friday. I didn't know it was him cuz I was rather young and never had seen him without his mask on. I couldn't reach him because he got quickly surrounded. She didn't feel the same for him even though she led him to believe she did. Hence the line "you sold me out to save yourself"
I'm know it's been said but you really need to check out his live acoustic version of this song. The emotions hit harder. Loved the reaction guys like always 💚

Bury all your secrets in my skin
Come away with innocence and leave me with my sins
The air around me still feels like a cage
And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again
So if you love me let me go
And run away before I know
My heart is just too dark to care
I can't destroy what isn? t there
Deliver me into my fate
If I'm alone I cannot hate
I don't deserve to have you
Ooh, my smile was taken long ago
If I can change I hope I never know
I still press your letters to my lips
And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss
I couldn't face a life without your lights
But all of that was ripped apart when you refused to fight
So save your breath, I will not care
I think I made it very clear
You couldn't hate enough to love
Is that supposed to be enough?
I only wish you weren't my friend
Then I could hurt you in the end
I never claimed to be a saint
Ooh, my own was banished long ago
It took the death of hope to let you go
So break yourself against my stones
And spit your pity in my soul
You never needed any help
You sold me out to save yourself
And I won't listen to your shame
You ran away, you? re all the same
Angels lie to keep control
Ooh, my love was punished long ago
If you still care don't ever let me know
If you still care don't ever let me know
RIP Joey
No way
