The Yacht-Master 40 is deeply underrated, if you can even say that about a modern steel sports watch from Rolex. That case is so much nicer than the Submariner one
Thank you for watching Aaron. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, apologies for the mistake. I have already acknowledged this in my replies to other comments. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Haha well I would love it if those center links are really platinum for this current retail price!! Anyway, really love your reviews! Keep up the awesome work :)
The only thing in my view that lets it down very slightly is lack of 200m resist. For this type of watch, I feel it should have at least 150-200m! It's otherwise an unbelievably gorgeous timepiece
There are reports that this actually passes the 300m pressure test, and that it's rated by Rolex at 100m because it's not an ISO watch and also so it will not compete against the Sub from a marketing perspective.
Truly a beautiful piece… probably my favourite, I just love the whole ensemble of the blue dial contrasting beautifully with the platinum and the bezel. Excellent review, John, thanks for sharing. Regards
Thank you for watching Mario. Glad you enjoyed it. Agreed, the blue sunburst dial; and platinum make it a beautiful piece. Wear your pieces in good health. Regards, #WR4K
Extremely engaging video and a stunning looking watch with that dial and platinum bezel. I've never really equated Rolex with 'value' but with so much platinum plus the white gold detail, not to mention the movement, it honestly does look like a value piece.
Thank you for watching Justin. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Rolex have used AR coating on the Daytona since 2017. The current Submariner, Submariner Date, and Oyster Perpetual; all use AR coating. Regards, #WR4K
I prefer the supercase/sub case to the yatchmaster.I prefer the overall flatter blockier feel of the sub. still an absolute beaut. it should have 200m water resist though!
Hey John how have you been? I haven't wrote in in awhile. I'm surprised you never made this one of your watches because I know you love blue dials this to me is one of the nicest blue dials you could have and you could use this watch for any type of occurrence whether it be a wedding or barbecue this watch just looks awesome. So I was just wondering why you never bought this watch? Ray USA
Any chance to review a 116234 blue dial and roman numerals please? Also I have this 126622, it is still brand new and unworn, but I am a little concerned that the bezel has the tiniest of sideways movement if you maneuver it that way, is this something you observed as well? Thank you very much! Love your content!
Thank you for watching Peter. I appreciate your suggestion. I won't be reviewing the 116234. Check out my 126234 review below, it may interest you. There was no lateral side to side play in this bezel. Regards, #WR4K ua-cam.com/video/MFmWIx300XQ/v-deo.html
Correction : The center links are on oystersteel, not platinum
Apologies for the mistake. I appreciate the correction. I have already acknowledged this in previous comments. Regards, #WR4K

Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Agreed, the case shape is better looking than the Submariner Date. Regards, #WR4K
The BEST Rolex currently in production!
Thank you for watching Walker. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
The contrast of the polished bezel and the bead blasting is incredible
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
Awesome detailed review! But I believe the polished center links are steel and not platinum…

I own this watch and can tell you it's a fantastic time piece. Just wish Rolex used AR coating!

@@watchreviews4k yes sorry I knew that, I meant I wish they used AR on the Yachty. Ps. Any chance of any Farer reviews on your channel?
@@justinevans1894 I appreciate the suggestion. Regards, #WR4K
I think they added AR in 2023 to all models?

With the triplock crown I bet it is capable of 200m….even 300m. Don’t let the “official” depth rating deter you
@@walkerb1734 Then why does rolex market it as 100m. it should be 200m for the sports model range as is Tudor.
@@ATIWatchReviews Good question! I did have my local watchmaker put mine through a water resistance test to 200m. It passed with ease.
