dude thank you so much! i completely missed those riser cable standoffs

Oh heck yes some breakfast content to start the day.
This is a fantastic guide, thanks so much!
Nice case love it but one tip for all who build in it. It is better to screw the radiatortray onto the radiator outside the case makes it a lot easier, yes you can leave a little play and fasten all screws once the tray is in. 👍
Nice build guide!
Great guide
Thanks for the guide!
Would love to see a custom loop :) been debating on picking up this case. It’s just so hard to move on from my caselabs case
More US supply issues ig since I cannot buy the case since launch more than a month ago. Was hoping since Lian li is producing the case we wouldn't have these issues
You can do 240GTS with 2x A12x25 and Aquanaut Extreme at max. If you use high wattage CPU and GPU tho, a full custom loop might not be desirable.
Great build man. One think I'm really curious about that no one has show is if those radiator shroud covers can be removed. Thanks!
They need to release a A4-H2O80 for 280 rads. I will stick to my nr200 because of 280
So I just built mine. A few things I did to help myself. I am using an Asus X570i motherboard which doesn't have a USB-C, so I actually removed that cable from the front. I also removed the audio cable because I only use Bluetooth headphones/speaker. That helped to remove some cables. I noticed a very, very annoying humming and I spent hours trying to track it down. It was the Chipset fan going super-fast. (I came from a NR200 with a NH-D15 and multiple case fans so the chipset was much cooler than it is now) I have a slim noctua fan cable tied to the exterior of the case to bring some cool air which has dropped the chipset to 60 degrees. I have (2) Noctua 40mm fans and a thermal pad in the mail to try to keep the thermals reasonable and remove this ugly fan off the side of the case! I also am getting a heat spreader for the back M.2 which is behind the riser cable and TUF 3080. I hope to keep that a bit cooler than it is now. I want to get custom cables and am waiting on Pslate to have them custom sized. If someone has another recommendation, I would appreciate any feedback to what I have been doing to mod this beautiful case.
Ah yeah the X570 I Strix PCH fan can be annoying. Is yours just spinning under load? The reason I ask is since theoretically with exhaust fans up top under higher load the fans should be doing enough to draw some cool air into the path of the motherboard, that way you can just use slightly higher CPU fan speeds to help out the board cooling.
@@MachinesMore It seems so. Once I am working or gaming, the fan turns on and stays on. The hum is super annoying. I felt the heatsink over the chipset and noticed it was super hot so I got compressed air and blew on it and noticed the fan ramping down. Once I grabbed the slim Noctua fan and placed it, the chipset temps dropped immediately. For the AIO, I am using an EK 240 with (2) Noctua NF-A 12x25. My curve is around 50% with the fans until about 65 degrees then I have it ramping up.
You can remove those cables? Is it modular or did you just cut them?
@@Drone443 yep just a few screws to remove. It was easy to do
Hey did you install the 40mm fans where the pool 2.5 inch ssd would be installed? Just ordered this case and am going to attempt a 5900x 6900xt build
thanks for this guide video
easy buinding guide so good thx
Would have been wayyy easier to plug in the PSU cables before mounting it into the case. I know this video is 2 years old but I was curious as to why you did this.
It would have been nice to see an sfx-l to check how much clearance it offers. Same with bottom SSD. Also I can't remember if it was possible to install some case fan/s
I'd like to know if that's possible for bottom slim fans.
I Love this Case
Hi @Machines & More, do you think two Phanteks T30's would fit if you ever wanna change the fans on the radiator?
I'm curious about this as well since I have 2 T30s in my nr200 and want a smaller case
It does
Optimum Tech did a build with the T30s and had to remove the anti-vibration pads off the fans to make it fit. I’m about to try it out myself and I’ll come back to let ya know.
Hello!
I'm new to building PCs and I'm currently building a similar setup using this case, a PL240 and a Corsair SF750. I notice you mention to pass the PSU plug in between the two tubes and the manual for the case indicates to do it in a similar fashion. However, when I try to do so, I find that the tube to the front on the plug (closer to the fan side of the PSU) gets bends into a tight pinch (which might prevent fluid to pass thru). Would you mind sharing more pictures as to how you accomplished this part? Thank you! Love your videos.
I had trouble installing my graphics card into that riser cable. I saw in this video you messed around with it too, at first it seems like it's slanted then you proceed to push on the right side of the card to correct that, I had the same issue. But just getting the card to slot into the riser was a challenge, I loosened the two screws and I was able to get it in but I worry that tightening the screws again will put strain on the PCB. Also, it's very easy to get wires into the two fans on top, or the aoi tubes for that matter. Optimum Tech showed a graphic informing where to route the tubes based on your aoi and how long they come from the factory, that being either above or below the PSU. Coincidentally I followed the same order as you, installing the PSU at the end was difficult. I essentially just had to shove it in, making sure the front io and SATA cables were bent correctly to fit the PSU bracket. But this is all par for the course when working with an 11L case, definitely was more of a challenge than my old Cougar QBX.
Hi, I am currently building in this case, my gpu also seems slanted, I’ve put a lot of pressure and can get it straight but as soon is I put the screws in it slants again. From your experience does it sound like side with the cream little clip hasn’t been pushed in enough?
@@danielf0124 yeah I went without the second screw on the pcie riser and the GPU fits in all the way, I guess one screw is enough. I believe I was able to get that clip secured as well
he put extended m3 standoffs in not sure on the size
Hi,
I enjoyed the video.
How long are the M3 standoffs?
I would be grateful if you could answer the question. Thanks.
hey boss, there is now a Scythe Fuma 2 rev b. The fans ramp up to 1500rpm instead of 1200rpm. I bought one on amazon for my new-ish build. I haven't installed it, though.
Yup, got it on the review queue here!
@@MachinesMore NIce! I can't wait. I'm going to transfer my components over to my new nr200p from my node 202. I'm eager to see what is a good intake/exhaust case fan configuration given the "upgraded" fans in the rev b cooler
Hi there! I saw both your videos for the DAN A4-H20 and the BeQuiet! Pure Loop 240. I was already set in buying both but I saw a lot of reddit users confirming that they won't go together IF you're using a triple fan gpu. I'd like to know if you've encountered the same issue having both the case and the AIO present for you.
Would be a lot of help as I'd really like to use either the pure loop or the silent loop 2 as it fits my use case of having a silent and performant AIO and I could drain it so I don't get blocked by airport security when flying it in my carry-on luggage due to constraints in bringing anything with fluid. I know it's not above 100ml but it pays to be careful. Hope to get your reply soon!
Is there any possible way to install a 3.5” HDD in this case?
i dont think it even have space for 2.5" ssd. correct me if im wrong.
There is a single 2.5” ssd mount on the bottom panel. No room for 3.5” HDD
Hey. You mention it's better to using extended standoff for the riser cable. I wanna know what is the max GPU widht using those standoff?
I plan on a Build with this Case.
Do you Guys think it make a positive difference if I cut out a Circle out of the PSU mount for the PSU Fan with a dremel?
Atm I plan with the Corsair SF750.
Need your advice, do you think a BYKSKI GPU AIO wouldn't have much issues in fitting on this case? I will keep my CPU air cooled.
Hi. Will be it healthy for 2,5 HDD installed on the bottom panel under graphic card? I am asking if such mounting doesn't limit HDD lifetime because of high temperture on the upper drives part, with the electronic cooled from the bottom.
Hi im planning to buy this case , can seek your suggestion for low profile cpu cooler that can fit into this case , as far now thinking to buy ID cooling is-50x v2 .
fractal design Celsius aio does not fit in this case. found out the hardway.
why the GPU upside down? will it damage pcie on gpu over time?
Hi Nice build, thank you. just one question does the power button have a light to indicate that it's ON
no, just a button only
May I know if G.skill Enki 240mm aio fit in Lian li A4 H20? considering the height is only 39mm but a tube length of 420mm
make a fan mod (slim fan or small fan) for the GPU.
Can you build this case without liquid cooling? e.g. noctua cooler instead?
Started with stock intel cooler, too noisy. Intel 10700.
Switched to Noctua NH-L9i, with NVMe double stacked below the cooler. It cooks the NVMe (critical warnings in SMART). Also if you run a game or CineBench the CPU hits 100c and throttles to 3.8GH/z almost immediately. I do not recommend, the cooler spits out hot air top and bottom and the bottom is completely blocked by the NVMe heat spreader.
I've been running it that way for about a year as I was traveling with it.
A couple of days ago I installed a NZXT Kraken 240 and my temps are 32c idling and about 75-80 through CineBench. So I'd consider water-cooling a requirement of this build with a half powerful CPU.
what mm are standoffs
It seems I didn't get the gpu standoffs, does anyone know what type of standoff this is in terms of measurement?
Would the phanteks T30 fans fit with the rad?
they would be 2mm too thick
new pc builder here, do u need extra case fans for this case?
there is no where to put them, way too cramped (I have the same case)
Hi the link for your extended m.3 doesn't work. Do you know any other alternatives please?
updated the video link!
@@MachinesMore thank you. For some reason the stand offs that come with the case dont work out for me.
If i were to screw in the stand offs, the gpu would not align properly with the gpu socket or brackets of the case. So now i just have the pcie riser just dangling there.
Also which standoff size should i use?
this is no possible to watercool the gpu with this case ?
Like a hybrid card? Or a custom loop? If a hybrid card then air cool the CPU and use the top mount for the gpu.
I'll go ahead and presume this isn't a candidate for my 12900k/2080ti gaming setup eh?
For gaming, I think you’ll be fine actually, you’ll see higher fan speeds under high GPU load because the gpu exhaust is going to heat up the coolant, but your CPU temps should be OK for gaming.
@@MachinesMore I'm not too concerned with fan speed while gaming, right now I'm running a nzxt z63 and see 50-60 during most games. Right now it idles 24-27 no load and the gpu usually 35 or so no load. I may see if I can find one in stock, I do like a nice quiet system when doing normal things lol thanks
@@marchufnagel9068 12700 w/ 240mm AIO and air cooled 3080 here, works perfectly and is silent under web browsing, temps fine while gaming.
