Yes, I finally quit my job. Now instead of being a pottery teacher, youtuber, selling my work on my website, glaze developer, father and cook. I am not just a father, pottery teacher, and glaze developer, lol. The place I Work out now pays me more for my skills and leaves me far more open to spend time with my family and to work on what I truly love.

Hey man, of all the people to be able to shift to full time clay I'm hyped you get to give it a shot. I came back to clay from tinkering with it as a hobby to starting a business (with HOURS AND HOURS of listening to you and Lindsey's podcast over the pandemic), to wanting to give a career with it a shot. Turns out that happened faster than I expected when I lost my 'normal' FT gig last fall and I'm fortunate enough my husband and I are in a place I can try. I've worked around food service folks a lot when I was in college and I had NO f'king idea how you managed that, a family, AND gaming still. x.x /rambling off

I'm so happy for you. It's a great thing to make a living off of your passion. You will be so successful. Can't wait to see what you do.
If your real job had benefits like retirement and healthcare it is worth keeping. If not then you might as well quit. If your wife’s job has healthcare then that is covered. You need to be sure and invest in a retirement plan though.
More and more people are just keeping their job to pay their health insurance. Also, wasting time on the job is part of the job when you work in a corporate team; if you get too much done, you are not a team player, and the team will find a way to push you out. The whole reason I became a sole proprietor was that I was so darned bored working for a fortune 500 company, where almost nothing got done. It's paralyzing. And your content is great, so you will thrive, and you will continue to migrate towards doing the things you love the most.

So exciting to see you getting to do what you want to do! Lobe your glaze reviews! I know and have watched your kiln videos, a video on firing a kiln sitter would be appreciated. Other ones I have watched are awful and there are not many.
I'm so happy that you are able to move more of your time and energy to doing what you love and being with your Fam more. I'm just a part time potter but you have helped me for years lean how to throw better. You are also a great person and I love your personality. Because of you I have been doing holiday bazaars to sale my stuff which I never felt my stuff was good enough to have people want to buy it. Due to you helping me learn how to doing some of your technics I got brave enough to do my first event now almost 6 years ago.
