- My brother hasn't mowed a lawn in many many years so I put him to work mowing the lawn with the vast collection of mowers I own. He got to try out the simple Honda push mower as well as a manual reel mower and of course the Swardman reel mowers. We actually had a great time and I think he's secretly been working on lawn care without telling any of us. :)

I'm amazed that you push mow that large of yard. I used to push mow my 1/4 acre and the heat and humidity during mowing season gets pretty bad. I could mow for like 15 minutes and just be dripping like I jumped in a pool, have to go inside cool off for 1/2 hour and repeat. Took forever to get everything done and trim so I would always put it off until it was just about too long and was forced to cut it I finally said the heck with it and bought a Weibang electric rider. It's very compact and does a great job. Now I can jump on that and cut far more frequently and my yard looks a lot better for it.

I'm glad you mentioned the mushrooms! I've had some sprouting in my yard and have been meaning to research. Your quick explanation saved me the time. I was glad in a way to see them in your yard. Gives me just a bit more confidence that I'm not necessarily doing the wrong things. Just dealing with nature. ✊

This video tells me I’d love to learn more about directions to mow when you hit objects, like you said “shoulda gone left!” - also, I didn’t know you needed to go quickly with manual reel mowers! Great info! I also like seeing weeds in your lawn, makes you feel more human vs a lawn god ;) I would actually love to see more info about all the issues and things you don’t want to show us! Those things are the most helpful to me :) keep up great work!!!

Ryan, I noticed in another video you used peat moss to top dress your spot seeding. In our area of Indiana they sell a bulk product called “ mushroom peat.” I used it in a new flower bed I made for my wife and those little buggers grew everywhere! You don’t suppose...? Love your channel.

I had some mushrooms in the lawn this morning also I'm gonna lay off the water for a few days just don't want my over seeding to go to waste.
Saw the lawn shoes text in the beginning. Was that for real or were they really nice and now stink like grass and gasoline! Lawn looks great.

Ryan love the channel. I live in north central Minn. After a cool, dry spring grass is really starting to pop. However I am noticing pockets of real lime green areas. What could this be? Why would some areas have this limey color while others are now lush and dark green?

When using the manual reel mower, and not collecting the clippings, doesn’t the lawn look yellow in a day or so from the clippings breaking down? Thx
No..if you mow often enough they will be pretty small clippings

You should do a video on the air pollution differences between gas and electric mowers. Did you know a gas mower emits as much pollution as 40 new cars (per hour)?
Cover the lawn in gas no lawnmower needed. I Just cover whole lawn in gas.
