Is the beauty industry REALLY dying or is there just a shift? Today I wanted to talk about a video I saw talking about how the beauty industry is dying and how beauty service providers need to adapt to consumer behaviors.

That’s funny cuz just last week I read that since the economy is bad, people are not spending money on big ticket items (cars, vacations, facelifts) but people will spend money on manis, pedis, facials and massages (smaller indulgences).
I definitely had a major issue after my last pedicure. I haven’t been back in 2 years.

In retrospect, yes, people would rather spend money on mani pedis than cars (the amount people are spending on car notes and insurance now, makes my head spin). But if people are already spending a lot on beauty, I see where they would want to cut back OR they want to cut the "small" expenses first before canceling their next trip or doing a volunteer repo (which is going way up this year).
I stretch my pedicures for as long as possible. Haven't been back in months but since summer is coming soon, i'm gonna have to go back.
