- Maximise the use of your rotary iron, put your fitted sheets through it with ease. They can be used for bed linen, table linen, tea towels, T-shirts and anything that will sit flat. saves so much time. Miele is still the best brand and they last for years.
Thinking about getting one for my small business. This iron has more uses than I realized. Thanks for the videos!
You are treasure for teaching this, I was lost. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I have been wanting one of these irons for years and finally purchased it! Thank you for the great tutorials!
Hello
Wonderful-I use the old Ironrite 85 but all your tips apply just the same!
Bought the product a week ago for my small hotel buisness and i say this:it rocks!!
Where can I buy it?
@@rand991 At a electric shop!
How fast can it iron a flat sheet
Fantastic! I was hoping to learn this and this vid IS PERFECT! We just bought one for our glamping business in NC and the ironing was taking sooooo much time and honestly the fitted sheets were just too difficult with a traditional iron and board. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Your are welcome. Good luck with it for your glamping business
First, We love your accent and on the pro side, we enjoyed watching the full video because to always looked directly into the camera to focus on the viewers, like you were making sure you had our attention, as a school teacher. We like that you kept it video very professional keen details. Thank you for taking time out to share your knowledge about the Miele Rotary Iron. God Bless.
I want this with all my heart.
Great tutorial!Very helpful! Thanks a lot! 👍
I just recorded a video showing how to do those items. I will try and upload it today. Miele rotary irons are a great accessory to have !
If doesn't have steam isn't better than a ordinary iron
Enjoyed watching, and am thinking of getting a rotary iron for things like t-shirts and jeans. I'd be interested to know how that works out. But for fitted sheets... currently I don't iron them at all, haha. ;-)
Definitely get something with steam . The rotary iron it's usually for big items
I do 90% of my families laundry, my wife works 5-6 days a week and often 10-12 hour days. So, it is big help for me to take on laundry.
Its funny. I really enjoyed doing laundry well. I spend a lot of time shaving, repairing and removing threads etc from the various clothing, and bedding fabrics. I started ironing our sheets using a professional steam iron about 10 years ago. It does a good job but is slower than I’d like. We love the crisp freshly ironed feel of our sheets.. does a rotary iron accomplish the same end results of a traditional iron?
What a cool machine! Thanks for sharing 😻
Worth noting I think that the feed board has been removed. Do you find that it's better to iron all your bed linen with it off? Thanks!
I really cant get how you fold the sheets to begib, do you have a vid with morr detail on this
Question: I am considering investing in one of these beauties and weighing the "dry" model (which I think is yours) vs. the one that has steam, which Miele bills as commercial grade, which makes it sounds as though it is not for residential or non-pro use. But I use steam in my iron and always get better results. Should I be considering getting the steam version, or is the dry version adequate for home use? Any advice would be appreciated!
Having never used the steam version I can’t fairly comment, however I would say for home use the dry is more than adequate. I also use a steam iron and agree they are best.
My tip is to iron/roller sheets when they are roughly 80%dry and this produces a similar effect to steam. If they are dry then use a water spray beforehand.
@@alexandraparker-larkin3467 Thanks so much for your quick reply--and tip!
I do have a bit of an ironing story for you: My 96-y.o. mum was in a rehab facility and lying in a semi-private room. The elderly woman in the next bed sneezed several times, and feeling sympathetic, I handed her my perfectly-pressed handkerchief. As she used it, she asked "WHO irons hankies anymore??" and my mother bolted straight up and exclaimed "WE DO!"
Should an inspection sheen of construction be available by return?
@@kyriakosntanasis9735 I cannot answer this question unfortunately, perhaps Miele customer services can?
You do not fold the fitted sheet before rolling it because it takes forever. The roller iron is open on both ends for a reason, that is why you roll the fitted sheet openly and it takes 30 seconds only.
Hello what is the name of the iron and it’s there a link to purchase it .. Nice videos
I want one!
Is it possible to do a king size bed sheets?
What about price ranges ?
Does it work for cashmere scarves and blanket Press ? If yes how can i order the machine about 6 feet wide.?
You can order direct from Miele. I would say that constantly ironing or pressing cashmere is not always advised, as it flattens the fabric wish is best fluffed. Steaming is preferable. However on the low temp setting setting ironing on the roller iron is possible.
Hello, is there any limit to how many times a sheet can be folded, meaning how thick can the material be to not cause any issues with the iron?
I would suggest in quarters so four times. However if it’s too thick then the roller machine will bounce back up, letting you know it’s unable to roll it that thick.
Steam system will make good
Do we get it in India
Possibly good for either large families or someone with health concerns. Save up because it is expensive. Miele is an old company.
I wanted to buy something to iron faster, but I guess you can't get away from the fact that the sheets and duvet covers might touch the "dirty" floor. I wanted to buy this to keep it in my holiday let as I am ironing the sheets myself and need to do it quickly. I have a cat at home and it is almost impossible to iron the sheets and keeping it clean from cat hair as cat hair always finds its way somewhere and sticks to the linen. Any ideas? It would be easier for me if I could iron at home and not at the holiday let.
Too be honest you really need to be careful that cats hairs are kept away from holiday let linen, personally my husband couldn't stay somewhere that has cats, especially on bed linen, it would trigger an asthma attack. I would say that the roller iron like I used can be counter mounted which takes them further from the floor, most have a bar where the sheets rest whilst being fed through. Another option is to thoroughly clean the area ahead of time and then use a lint roller as you go along, I have done that in the past and it works well. You could also lay an old sheet on the floor when ironing just to be extra sure, good luck.
The machine is so cool, but I think I’m having issues getting over the fact that people actually iron their sheets lol
It takes forever but try it, it makes a world of difference...
Oh goodness. Imagine the great feeling of clean sheets but 4x as wonderful.
Which Miele rotary iron is this one, please?
I think it is a Miele Electronic B 865. You can also get this type with a steaming function (D = Dampf (german)= Steam): B 866 D , B 895 D or B 995 D.

Is there anything else suitable to go on thus rotary machine?
T-shirts, table linen, pillow cases. Anything that you can flatten really
My fitted sheets are more round in how they are gathered. I am also doing king and queen sheets. Help!
The sheets in the video are king size. I would suggest if they are more gathered then hook the main section around the open end of the roller and really tug to straighten the corners as much as you can before and during the ironing stage. Also another tip is to use a water spray to flatten out creases with clean hands when they are on the bed in position.
Tuve esa planchadora desde hace 17 años y aun sigue
How much for machine?
$2000
You can get a workhorse Ironrite 85 from the 40s or 50s for several hundred dollars and it works as well or even better than the Miele
Would this be handy for table cloths?
Yes, it’s perfect for table cloths
How long does it take to iron one fitted sheet?
Just a few minutes

I dont iron fitted sheet, it is easier to buy new one
Too much work….ugh
Crikey. I'd rather just iron it with a regular steam iron. Much quicker.
