      Yes! He was my songwriting idol and inspired me to write songs. My early performances were filled with a lot of Roger Miller songs.

    I have always loved his music. Every now and then, my wife catches me singing engine engine #9. My favorite Roger Miller song. He was truly great.

    roger is one of a kind- loved his tunes since I was a little kid. I never tried roller skating in a buffalo herd, i couldn't roller skate on the skating rink!

    Wow!! Just think in 1966 Roger Miller sang a song that was funny, cute and believe it or not, It Wasn't Filled With BAD Words!! Times back then were called the good ole days, gee I wonder why.. Probably bc things have changed so much and time marches on... Thank you for this lovely video and Thank you Roger Miller for making the best songs of days gone by.. RIH!

    If ever was a person who did not use or tap into all his/her musical talent, this man is it. I always had the feeling he was holding back, and yet he was still one of the most creative and interesting entertainers of his time.

    yeh i saw the show and remembered how much i loved Roger Miller, I got tickets to see him & took my Mom & Dad, thinking they'll love it, but I was awe struck by this Man, he blew me away with his wit, playing the fiddle and guitar and this is coming from a Beatles , Hendrix to Bob Marley Fan.

    Me too. It's from a morning show and the whole tape must be out there somewhere. Legend has it that Roger and the boys, not being morning people, got hopped up on pills and never slept the night before this show.

      Also this is the internet. Repetition is one of it's main pillars. Without it it would likely collapse. Would some fine thing be built from the recycled rubble? Who knows? But we are here now staring into a magic window to the past at the shirt of a man playing his guitar incorrectly but well.
