- The Rocket Man singer and his husband, David Furnish, discuss the Peachtree Road residence where the pop legend became a ‘serious collector’ of exuberant art and objects
In 1991 when Sir Elton John bought a duplex-apartment at Park Place on Peachtree Road in Atlanta’s coveted Buckhead neighbourhood, he couldn’t have imagined the extent to which the city would transform him personally and professionally.

The inspiration is really not the collection itself but the joy of seeing David and Elton share their love for the journey of collecting the objects and being happy together. I wish someday to be able to meet them in person in a casual setting. They seem to be a joy to be with.
You know when you are wealthy when you buy the luxury apartment next door just to hang more iconic photographs. Elton is a legendary entertainer. Watching him and his band live years ago was the best concert I have ever attended.
This is beautiful, thank you!
❤ Elton, and Atlanta! Terminus inspires beautiful art
Glad that I got a successful bid!
I worshipped Elton John in the 1970’s when I was a kid .
that would be it .
Atlanta loved Elton John, people literally could run into him at the local grocery store. Always a thrill experiencing an Elton sighting. I don't think the couple inhabited the home for years, I guess it was time to let it go and move on.
VERSACE shirts are individually "printed", and not individually "woven", dear Christes😃
They're made of silk. Therefore they are woven.
@@laerwen yes. The fabric is woven, and then printed. And then they cut a shirt out of it.
I love the understated things within this lot. It is opulent but nothing too garish about it
