I'd Like to Walk Around in Your Mind (Vashti Bunyan Cover)

- I swear to God, I’m the CEO of resting bitch face. Anyway, here is another weekly cover. I wanted some light and easy for this week 😊. This sweet, simple folk song is from Vashti Bunyan’s 1970 album Just Another Diamond Day. A bit of a flop when it first came out, this album is now known as one of the best British folk albums. It describes her travels on horseback through the Highlands of Scotland, which is pretty cool. I hope you enjoy my rendition. Also, I’m thinking of doing something else with this channel as well as covers and my own music videos but I’m not sure yet so if anyone has any ideas, drop me a comment or message me on one of my other platforms.

Beautiful!!
Thank you so much!!! 😊🌸🌷⚘
Lovely song and cover
Thank you so much, I appreciate it ❤️ 🥰💖
Oh my God I love this. This is my favorite cover version of the song which was actually recorded as an unreleased single for Immediate Records in 1967. I first heard it in 1999 on the Circus Days cd various artists comp. At the time her music was very unknown. I would love to hear you do a cover of Love Song by her. Lastly on my channel I recorded an original lullaby. I would love to hear you do a cover of it. Your voice sounds much better than mine. There are 2 versions. My favorite version is the soft acoustic one which shows flying in the clouds video. I always felt my song was meant to be sung by a girl.
Thank you so much! I love Vashti Bunyan. Her music is just so simple and sweet, I always think it's great spring music 🎶
And I didn't know its history so thank you for sharing. I have written down Love Song just now. It is a great one 💞💞
And yeah, I'll have to give it a listen 🎶
Thank you 😊 💓
Such a beautiful version, I like this one more than the original, fills me with fell-goods😊😊😊
You are so kind! Thank you 🥰🥰💖💖

Thank you 🤗

Thank you so much!!! I appreciate it ❤️
OK...I had to go look it up... RBF:) I am soooo out of the "social" loop...you are really funny, too. On a more serious note,
I have to say that I really appreciate your historical interest in music, and sharing your research/knowledge is something
I am very much in appreciation of. Perhaps it would be something to expand upon, somehow? Critical music writing,
seems to flow naturally for you, from my (all too personal) perspective. You speak and sing with a comfortable authority...
nice cover.
Peace and Love
Haha thank you 😆
And also I'm very appreciative that you're appreciative haha. I guess I'm so interested in music history because I think acoustic guitar has been a major part in the progression of music in the last century or so, even if its a bit out of style now. But that's just my opinion.
And yeah you're right, I'd love to expand upon that, I'm not sure what that would entail tho 🤔 I'll look into it 😊
And also thanks so much for your kind words, I really really appreciate it, you are so lovely ❤❤❤♥️♥️💕💕
@@RosaLavenne It seems that you really have great technical abilities with computer skills...I struggle. Any who, I had a thought
("Look What Thoughts Will Do":) But seriously, what about somehow working in a representative image (historical or otherwise) when referencing the historical aspects of your inspiration? This may be challenging, what with copyright laws and such...but you are doing this for educational reasons:)...silly me overthinking.
Peace and Love
@@ukuletion1 yeah I've had to learn the technical side, if you watch my early videos, you will realise they haven't always been this slick haha 😆
That's a really good idea, I guess if I cover a song that is featured in a CD I own, I could use that CD in the background but it would probably be too small. Maybe on my country songs I could wear a cowboy hat I dunno haha 🤠😂
But yeah I think you're right in mixing up my visuals, I've been trying to brainstorm ideas for a while now, I'm sure I'll think of something 🤗🤗
Haha don't worry about overthinking, sometimes it's a good thing. Thank you so much 🌸 🥰🖤
@@RosaLavenne Some how, I do not see you in a cowboy hat:) I wear one in a few of my vids, but honestly only wear one when I am brush hogging/fire suppressing at the ranch, so yeah I got one, but....they do help with the UV. Not a fashion statement I want to make though, really:)
What I was driving at, was that I think you have a creative camera eye, as evidenced in your original music videos...
Ah, but you put so much into nailing these covers so nicely... it is wrong to even suggest that you do more. Please forgive me, I am damaged, by my arts education:)
Peace and Love
@@ukuletion1 wow you're a real cowboy, thats cool 🤠🤠
Ah I see now, yeah that's quite a good idea and I have thought about doing that before, just occasionally adding some other visual just to keep the viewer's attention. Yeah that's a good idea, I'll have to have a think as to what I can do 🤔
Thanks so much, and no worries honestly ❣❣

Amazing! Chords???

@@RosaLavenne you’re welcome!! If you don’t mind sharing the chords with us? I really want this to be my first song to record.
@@useranonyknown I got these chords from a wonderful UA-cam called Frans Kuikpers! You can check out his channel and this song is on there. I hope that's helps 😊 good luck with the recording 🥰♥️
