LMAO, he tried to put the "Magnus effect" early on when they were children so it would be easy to defeat them when they grow up big and strong. Ingenius

Someone who is better will always come….but not with these present kids. when magnus was at their age, everyone was already scared of playing him psychologically

I believe he is better than anyone playing chess at this moment even if he is not at its peak right now..

Harder to disagree with Magnus than it is to beat him

Interesting, but this works in reverse too. Losing as a child, only fuels their desire to get better and beat him. 😆😆 Every great competitor, no matter the sport or event, dreams of the day they can take down their mentor/ idol. It's a defining moment when the "student has become the master."

For most people, yes, but Magnus is an anomaly. His ability isn't an easy one to match no matter how strong your desire.

Winning one match vs winning the whole tournament. Which one is better

What about alireza. He's the only guy who managed to beat him in a match.

He did beat prag on demand. Hikaru mentioned Magnus just plays abit recklessly against the young people

@@alien77333 Moron. I m talking about the psychological thing which Magnus said. Defeat younder players early on to implant fear in thier minds. And honestly, it's going exactly opposite with prag. He is gaining more and more experience of defeating magnus time to time. Also Magnus once himself said that prag is the most fearless player ehile facing him.
I don't how high you are. Just read my lines again.

He sounds so egocentric and narcissistic. "I doubt any of them are going to have peak bettter than I had". Lmao, dude thinks he's the peak of human evolution.

What he is is realistic. The level of dominance he exhibited at 18 is of a much higher level that was this young generation have shown, and their is usually a correlation between how high can you get before 19 and your absolute peak. Magnus is a genius among geniuses and the numbers show it. Of course this is not a 100% certainty , but by far the most probable outcome. You could bet fairly certain that none of this generation of young talents will stay anywhere close to a year above 2850. Magnus did it for an insane amount of time.

I think it’s the opposite of egocentric to be able to take yourself out of it and objectively analyze, which is what he is doing. He also said a few bad things about his playing here.

I think he is just being honest. Also, if you see more of his interviews, this is partly due to the nature of chess having changed.
