Thank you very much for this topic. Could you please discuss topics on enteropathic spondoloarthritis, Chronic pain and differentiating factors between fibromyalgia, chronic pain and enteropathic arthopathy? It would help if you could discuss quality of life, life expectancy, connection to DDD, chances of blood clot as well. Do drugs like lidocaine and ketamine have any value for these conditions with their anesthetic and anti-inflammatory properties?
Thank you Dr. Grinita , thank both of you... It was very educational and it is much apriciated ... I have firbomyalgia+cptsd+ for over 36 years and i'm 45 yrs old... since 4 years i have psoriatic arthritis as well... I'm learning alot from your videos dr. Grinita 🪻🌹
This is not new information nor do I think it applies to everyone with fibromyalgia and chronic pain. My fibromyalgia/chronic pain started with inflammatory arthritis in my thoracic spine that was never treated. The pain and disease spread throughout my body over time and has been thoroughly documented via x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. Because it was never treated, I developed centralized pain. Eventually I was diagnosed with spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, immunodeficiencies, heart disease, and a host of other problems caused by chronic inflammation and autoimmune diseases. I can't help but wonder how things might be different today if my doctor's listened to me and recognized and treated the inflammatory arthritis in my thoracic spine before all of the other health problems developed.
This was an amazing video about the connection between fibromyalgia and the central nervous system. I've been finding that meditation and mindfulness have really been helping quite a bit and so it was interesting to hear about how that helps the overactive central nervous system as well as some other things.
I got fibromyalgia in 1997 after a bad divorce and the loss of my house from a fire,I was very depressed and then 3weeks later the pain came it was very bad. I was in the medical field and even the doctors I worked for did not believe in fibromyalgia. I didn’t run around to doctors and getting tested I self diagnosed myself. I suffered for a few years with severe pain and exhaustion but continued on with life, I finally realized that I was not sleeping deeply. I asked my doctor for Ambien and I got better after sleeping better. Fast forward to now I have been pain free for many years. The only problem now is the doctor wants me off of the Ambien I find myself not sleeping and the pain , brain fog, and chronic fatigue is back after being perfectly fine for all those years. But yes fibromyalgia is caused by trauma physical and physiological trauma. You will not get better if you are not sleeping deeply.
Thank you for sharing your journey with fibromyalgia. It's inspiring to hear how you've navigated through such challenging experiences and found relief through better sleep. Remember, you're not alone in this, and it's important to advocate for your health.
I would love for you to talk about Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I was diagnosed in 2016...all the while with a lot of pain. I am on Medrol..a corticostroid. I am wondering if Polymyalgia is similar to Fibromyalgia.
Repetitive movement is my trigger. Hum, I had an MRI. I should have my pain mgmt dr look at it. I had it done to make sure I wasn't developing Alzheimer's because aunt died of it. Chronic Pain is distracting so it interferes with my ability to focus.
I'm hearing that childhood trauma initiates a stress response, then couple that with a personality of a highly sensitive person, over achiever, people pleaser rewires the CNS and my impression is that ultimately one lives in a constant stress state of fight, fear, flight, or fawn which activates chronic pain and a host of other disorders. Trauma will alter brain waves. Complex PTSD is an example of this, and patients with CPTSD frequently suffer from chronic pain. She's fo using on how to calm the central nervous system with relaxation techniques. As far as neuroplasticity goes, the elderly have been studied in the area with memory deficits. The brain has a way of creating new pathways (rewiring) to compensate for deficits, so when it comes to pain, the mind needs to focus on something soothing and pleasant as in affirmations, activities and most likely EMDR therapy.
@johndee9806 If you don't get it, then that might be a good thing. It may be that you had a healthy upbringing and therefore don't identify with this topic.
@@retrogirl2443 hi , understood , ye we all know this , old info , mind over matter , positive thinking , meditation , yoga , relaxation, cbt , EMDR , hypnosis , etc … but one pill , program / treatment etc doesn’t works for all ! With this therapy rather a minority & that’s only when arthritis / whatever symptoms are minor & early stage , slightly ! Not to say it’s not an good trial & support therapy along with other treatment combined ! It’s excellent in overall relaxation & stress relief ! ( Have been practicing for 40 yrs ) We haven’t progressed to the ‘ Limitless ‘ stage as yet 🤷♀️ Just saying 💜
My Rumatologist explained to me that Fibromyalgia develops in people that have overused their 'fight or flight' response system. Once this system has been used in such excess that it begins to glitch. (Like a virus in a computer.) The brain is overwhelmed and the stress starts reeking havoc. People become cranky, tired, and the brain signals indicating pain in certain parts of the body. People that do not meet their emotional needs, time after time, are more likely to develop physical problems.
I am fine with myself. I just get frustrated with my limitations and feeling stuck until a flare calms down. I have plenty to distract myself from these challenges. It is brain damage. I am leery of accepting that you fix brain damage with emotions...I'm not buying all of this...
Dr. Martina starting off her talk by explaining that fibromyalgia is all in our heads - mostly from childhood or early year trauma - saying that people telling us that we are too sensitive makes us develop fibromyalgia is a bunch of horse pucky. Personality is a problem too?? From the get go (years ago) fibromyalgia patients were told they’re crazy and it’s all in their heads. Dr. Martina seems to have found a very wordy way of saying the very same thing. Great way of alienating your clients. I’m glad I’m not her patient. Yoga or exercise has also always been a recommended “treatment” for years. Do you really want to exercise when in whole body pain? If not, too bad - you’re just being lazy. Most of her talk is nothing new - I’ve heard a lot of this for over a decade. Dr Martina - Stop acting like a counselor or therapist when that’s not your area of expertise. Seems you are bullying your patients.
This is not what Dr. Martina says! Dr. Martina explains what we understood after years of research and she acknowledges that trauma in the childhood affects you in the adult life! We both take time to educate people and we share our knowledge for the benefit of others! We offer our expertise and you are welcome to find a specialist that will fit your specific needs!

Every patient is unique and every patient needs personalized approach! We educate patients this is our goal! Not everyone is aware about fibromyalgia!

I would be interested if the central nervous system also becomes sensitive in things like misophonia.
Thank you so much for your channel!

Chronic Pain is distracting so it interferes with my ability to focus.
It's important to stay on top of your health concerns. Make sure to discuss the MRI results with your pain management doctor.
Thank you Jesus for this woman ❤
Absolutely! She truly is a blessing, and it's wonderful to celebrate the positive impact she has on our lives.
Is it only me? I don’t get it, I have watched this TWICE, none the wiser
We both take time to educate the general public and that should be something that people should respect!
