    I love this $2-million house!!! Yeah, I know it is listed at 5.7 but I can purchase elsewhere for that price and get twice the size and twice the land.

    • @MrJpmoneypants
      @MrJpmoneypants Рік тому +4

      And in other places you get a tenth the house with a 1/50th the land. What’s your point?

    • @aonforme3455
      @aonforme3455 Рік тому +10

      @@MrJpmoneypants My point is this is not worth 5.7 million dollars, even in the current location and economy. Perhaps you should read more comments and become realistic. If you sell it for that much, good for you but I wouldn't pay that for this house. Before you pop off, I own 7 half million dollars houses in my current gated community so I can easily afford this.

    • @MrJpmoneypants
      @MrJpmoneypants Рік тому +3

      @@aonforme3455 if you own a bunch of houses, then you know “worth” is what someone is willing to pay for it, not what you can get for it in a completely different part of the country. Bellevue has an average price point of $1.1 million. It’s odd that you’re experienced in homebuying, yet you use the trope of those who know nothing about how home prices work.
      By the way, I agree they’re over priced. However, tear downs on a third of an acre are selling for over 1 million in that area. They likely won’t get 5.7, but it’s not gonna be anywhere near 2 million.

    • @aonforme3455
      @aonforme3455 Рік тому +5

      @@MrJpmoneypants I get your point and your other mentions are valid. Perhaps not $2mill (which was mainly a bit of sarcasm) but let's use a bit of deductive reasoning here. Most of my properties were purchased for just below $309k but due to inflation and low availability in the Raleigh, NC area, prices have shot up, like many other areas. I am selling two and looking to upgrade. I just refuse to purchase at these current prices. Once the market adjusts, I'm making my move, just like any investment you buy low and sell high... Anyway, I sincerely wish you great success as there are more important things to address instead of a back and forth on an overpriced house.

    Some things I liked, others not so much. My biggest negative was, if I'm spending almost $6 million for a house, it better have a pool.
    The bedrooms are too small. There's no theater room and I hated the triangle pattern in the primary bathroom tile. The kitchen layout was awkward and counter space was lacking.
    My favorite part was that gorgeous ceiling in the kitchen and the ceiling in the last bedroom shown upstairs. I really liked the study/office at the entry. And the doggo bath was cool.

    Looks wonderful, 6 mil in San Francisco will get you a 100+ year old home with many necessary updates and additional costs as far as bringing everything up to date, what a contrast it is. I live in a 3 mil 1 bedroom in SF, how weird to sometimes see the comparison.

    • @merchandisingparadise9440
      @merchandisingparadise9440 Рік тому +1

      @@merchandisingparadise9440no they won’t. Southern states build more new housing. I don’t imagine we’d have cheaper housing if we all made 250k a year in the south but we wouldn’t have a bunch of shitty 1 million dollar homes. We’d have reasonable houses for maybe 400-500k then the McMansions would probably start at 900k+ if we had that income level. SF is penned in by the sea on too many sides which is why the prices are so bad

    back then you could build a house twice the size of that, yet not even spend a million.. homes are way over priced.. its who you know.. and using rough cut lumber as your choice with treatment options are the better way..

    @7:38 If I’m paying $32,653 a month mortgage you better believe we ARE NOT cooking our own meals! So where is the stove in the ‘Chef’s Kitchen’??? You also need at least 2 staff quarters - I don’t see that in your tiny house!

      To qualify for a $5.3 million loan your income every 2 weeks needs to be about $76,000.
