After horrible digestive issues, I have been on a gluten free diet for over a year. It took me almost a full year to feel better. Stick with it and have patience. It takes a long time to undo years of damage.
Be cautious... Re: All grains. It wasn't until much later in life when I was having difficulty that I considered abstaining from all grains that are realized what an enormous profound beneficial impact it had on me. Suffering with a traumatic brain injury from an auto accident I never felt sober. Not one day of my life after that accident. Bizarre challenging experience I do not drink but that's the best analogy I can make. Grain-free and adding healthy fats Made a very market improvement. It did not cure me of my TBI but my blood sugar regulation improved so much and I imagine that if there was any any inflammation that went away.. So pretty much staying away from packaged foods and just eating with the good Lord made for us.
Within the first couple of days I found out I was severely allergic to corn. The cause of severe arthritis. Got rid of several medications, steroids and the doctor.
Avoiding gluten since August. Lost inflammation and lots of weight. Feel so amazing, my skin is better, my hair is better, my gut problems resolved, my joint pain is nonexistent and I can run again, ok I'm clumsy, lol
Even though it's years later, I am sooooo happy that I came across this video. The more I listened, the more I heard my life described. Just starting my gluten free journey but looking forward to feeling much better
I went gluten-free over 90 days ago, which completely changed my life! My brain fog is gone, I can concentrate better than ever before in my life, my appetite has decreased and I have tons more energy.
This is an eye opener for me. I bloat with even a glass of water. I wake up tired. Drag my feet all day. Horrendous brain fog. Anxiety, depression and so unhappy. I was blaming the Menopause. Thank you so much for this video.
Cutting out gluten and increasing my fat and protein intake has really helped to level out my mood and I believe balancing my hormones. Weight is also starting to come off.
Having a hard time convincing my family that fat doesn’t make you fat. They love their carbs but don’t realize so many of their health issues are from inflammation.
@@yahyeet4383 Sounds great. I wish I had the will power to go gluten AND sugar free. I do add protein and good fats but I know it won't get rid od the inflammation,
@@hazelhamilton2593 Had you tried regular fasting? Starting with daily intermittent 16/8, and then (when fat adapted) progressing to 24 (OMAD), and 36/40 (ADF), etc. Fasting resets the body's functioning - including the taste buds.
Hazel thank you, after being accidentally glutened and In so much pain, I’m fasting only drinking water for as long as I can. Then I hope I can continue fasting for my gut health. Your right you have to reset, fasting is the way to go.😉
This guy is so knowledgeable. I’m 43 and only now am I working out why I’ve been suffering with ALL of these symptoms since the age of 19. That’s almost 25 years of struggling and being told that I have anxiety and depression and put on SSRI and SNRI medications. I’ve been misdiagnosed for 25 years by The UK’s National Health System’s GPs. My symptoms had to get SOOOOO bad to be tested for Gluten intolerance.
40years for me before i was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease, an absolute blessing and i love it! I feel for people with an 'Intolerance or Sensitivity' as they will never get an official diagnosis, as hard as it is to get GP's to conduct properly.
Fantastic! Glad you eliminated your issues:) FYI, I was originally misdiagnosed as having ulcerative colitis but then it turned out I was gluten sensitive and also have a gluten allergy.
Im 33, and last month I finally figured out just intuitively by myself to cut everything but meat vegs eggs and cheese. I didn't know what to expect, I was just desperate because of fatigue and erectile dysfunction. I lost 3kg, lost extreeeeme dermatitis on my scalp that I suffered through WHOLE life, also face skin stopped peeling off. Most of my teeth are devastated, I spend enormous amounts on dentists. ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION IS GONE, I SUFFERED FOR 5 YEARS FROM IT FOR GODS SAKE. My ears are ringing all my life, I have migraines like twice a year. It goes without saying that I've spent numerous hours on various professionals and none were even close to pointing me in that direction. I had gallbladder problems and pain - gone. I had a bit of blood on my toilet paper. Fatigue is GONE, I feel stronger and more energetic than ever in my life and Im not even that young. And now Im watching this and my jaw drops because 90% of what he lists - I HAD THOSE and it PUZZLED me all this time...
Thank you so much for posting this. I have no trouble avoiding wheat but my boyfriend who is the offical celiac with the dq2 and dq8 genes REFUSES to completely give up wheat and takes a bite of it now and then. I will have him read your post.
@@geauxp well. if it works for him, maybe he's gonna be ok, who knows. I was just looking for solution because of dozens of those nasty symptoms. Maybe his condition is not manifesting. At least you are informed and he will know whats causing trouble once it starts.
thanks a lot 15 years i was living with high anxiety ,depression, sweaty hand & feet panic attack, i try everything yoga ,meditation, exercise just one week gluten free diet i am really change new life, thank you one more dr.
I have the same issues. Crazy panic attacks and strange psicological episodes+my skin is terrific the past two years and my eyebrows are following down. My doctors didn't help me. I made ANA test and it was 1:350 positive, but it wasn't clear what what's the reason. I 'm now almost shure is the gluten...
Been GF for about a decade. Went on an elimination diet with my daughter to support her... ended up discovering MY gluten sensitivity! (Celiac test came back negative.). Skin issues (DH & psoriasis like patches) most of my life and now my skin is clear. ❤️
Had acne from age 18 till 50. It took about a year and a half, but have the best skin of my adult life,,,and no more stuffy head with headaches. If I cheat, I will be rewarded with a new pimple.
@@roblovegreenRegarding psoriasis also try a zinc spray from a compounding pharmacist. It really worked for someone I know and cleared the skin beautifully.
I’m an RN and food is the last thing a doctor may mention. Usually they shrug it off as they hand you another prescription 😢the education on diet per se doesn’t exist in the medical world. I have educated myself and am thankful for your channel!
In 2017, I started experiencing abdominal pain after eating meals. I eventually went to the doctor who told me I had IBS and gave me Imodium. I took 3 months and countless visits before he tested me for Celiac’s, which came back negative. It gave me the idea to go gluten free and after 3 days, my extreme pain had disappeared, it took awhile for my GI system to heal. I’ve been gluten free for almost 7 years and feel great. Have even helped other people realize they had gluten issues too. Thanks for this great video! Will help spread the word!
Going gluten free stopped my skin from breaking out. After decades of acne and regularly waking up with a new zit/s every morning, I am free. No more pimples! I also think what they've done to grains has an effect as well. And glyphosate can contribute to a host of problems.
I need to go on a gĺuten free diet.i have had and got all those systems Drs around dont even care if they help you or not i don'tthink they know about these problems,i don,t know what to avoid i don't know what to eat can you help me thank you for all the info that you have given us ,i live in kenyucky i desperite to loose weight and i cant seem to loose any no matter what i do!!!!
Never had any idea!! Took me going on keto diet to find out. I ate low carb and very surprisingly felt worse. Started studying the ingredients in my food and saw that my low carb tortillas had like three different gluten ingredients in it. I thought to myself, "it can't be.." I went gluten-free, now going on week three, and the majority of my health issues I had no idea were tied to gluten are suddenly disappearing. Mind you some of these issues I have been dealing with for a long time 1. Severe scalp dermatitis (5 years) 2. Constipation issues (3 years) 3. Joint pain in right shoulder (6 years) 4. Strong underarm BO (3 years) - this one surprised me. Clinical strength deodorant didn't even work, and now I can go deodorant free for a day or two without an issue 5. Foul Embarrassing gas 6. Brain Fog, memory issues 7. Undigested food during bowel movements. My gut is better than it has been in a while. Hopefully, I will get better and better as I continue to go gluten-free. Healing takes time.
Man I've had allergies anxiety and bad brain fog since i was young. Started fasting at 31 32 and realized the mental clarity and energy i been missing out on. Allergies down 95% and healed my bloating with my blender and 6 months of vegetables blending but never fully got rid of gluten. Im 40 and been off and on with bad brain fog and low energy. I fast for a day and a half every time i feel like hell. Im starting today's! Thanks for the push.
I can do it relate to you. I get the exact same thing. Plus massive sinus infections with headaches. But also underweight for my height. Did you find coffee upsets you too?
I am 57 yo and I haven’t felt really well for the last 5 years and didn’t understand why. I was told I had gallstones and had my gall bladder removed 3 years ago, then I was told I have bile reflux and that was cause of so many of my symptoms. I have been tested for celiac by blood and biopsies multiple times over the years all negative every time. My father was diagnosed with Celiac at age 60 and died of lymphoma at age 70 as a result of having celiac so it was always at the back of my mind that I may one day have it. These were my symptoms , nausea every day, h/a’s most days, fatigue everyday, constipation often, vertigo occasionally , tinnitus all the time, neuropathy in my feet most days, depression, anxiety, brain fog, eczema , bloating, gas and vomiting on occasion. The light bulb went off for me when I realized I ate something I had before and caused me to vomit on each occasion. I looked at the ingredients and wheat flour was the first ingredient !! From that day 2 weeks ago I went gluten free and I have already see some huge improvements. Nausea gone. Brain fog gone. Fatigue gone. My moods and anxiety improved, headaches gone, those were my main symptoms every day. I am gluten sensitive non celiac and relieved to know gluten is the cause finally!!! Thank you for this video, what an eye opener😮
You just confirmed my suspicions. I had my gallbladder removed 4 yrs ago, it made my digestive system go all sorts of crazy. I think it left me gluten intolerant. I've met with 2 gastroenterologists, had all the possible testing done and I don't have celiac disease. None of the doctors really took my talk of a possible gluten intolerance seriously and just said, that yeah, you can avoid gluten if that makes you feel better. This is not seen as a real diagnosable state and it's a problem. It basically ruined my life. I went from an hourglass body with stamina and muscles to a tired, bloated and depressed creature within half a year after my surgery. I think I have to go gluten free for life.
Mine started after my gallbladder removal too. I still need a motility test to rule out gastroperesis but so far all tests have been fine. Im so lost because im so miserable its effecting my life is huge ways. Def takes a mental toll. The fatigue is astounding and i have abdominal pain almost every day. It may stop for 2-3 days but comes right back. So im currently doing low fodmap diet and im still having pain and fatigue.
I just found out by chance that I may be sensitive to gluten. I turned 51 and was a bread and biscuit addict. My blood pressure has been high since i was 25 yrs but my cholesterol was very low, baffling doctors. The 4 blood pressure meds barely managed to lower BP. Two weeks ago i decided to cut gluten ,milk and sugar out of my diet and to my surprise, my BP for the whole of this week is around 115/76 without taking my meds. Not even the 4 combinations of meds has been able to get close to that in years. 'We are what we eat ' it's no joke ! Today, my wife brought loads of muffins and bread home and I still haven't touched it yet. I'm loving this new challenge. I did not know that my high BP was because my body was constantly fighting the poison i was putting in my body.
This makes me emotional. I'm 35 and found out a few years ago from a guy who walked into my bar. Everything cleard up. Mine manifested in a rash on my face only. Amazing what we are able to figure out by sharing information. Take care bro! Never eat that again
@@Mr.Market777 Thanks bro . I've been spreading the knowledge and people who listened are now kissing my feet because all their joint pains are gone and their BPs are down. Even my doctor is coming round to the idea by asking patients whose BPs are difficult to control, try it and he is amazed by the numbers that he is getting.
@@MrAFORCEONE wonderful that it worked for you and that you keep sharing the knowledge. I'm a doctor and aside from Celiac, we were never taught about gluten sensitivity. I had to do my own research. In the end I became a radiologist because I don't agree with so many mainstream medications. Everything has its place obviously but sometimes we're too blind to accept that maybe it's just gluten that's causing neurological symptoms... (just one example)
I had dermagraphic skin condition, hypo thyroid, chronic allergies, stomach pain, looked swollen in my face and was over weight. Celiac disease test was negative. Tried gluten free diet and have not gone back. Skin condition is now in remission. Thyroid is in check now and allergies are ten times better. My weight is easy to maintain now. Gluten sensitivity is real! I wish people knew more. This was very informative!
Sick for years doctors failed to find anything. I tried to go gluten free and wow what a difference. I am not perfect and sometimes eat things I shouldn't but I always get sick when I do. Lots of migraines and inflammation in my back and other parts of my body which makes me sick for days.
Frequent respiratory inflammation - bronchitis, cold, sore throat, tonsilitis - was symptoms of gluten sensitivity in my case. Initially, I was diagnosed with allergies and receiving immune boosting shots every 2 weeks for five years. Every time I tried to part with the protocol I would get sick again, with never ending cough. I self diagnosed the root cause of the situation after the last time I got sick from eating bread and pastry when I got IBS, hives, and bronchitis. Cough lasted over 3 months and what helped me detox was acupuncture, sauna, and NAC.
Mind blown! I’ve been dealing with mis diagnosis for 3 years. Drs have pushed so many meds on me. Just changed my diet to gluten free and feeling so better. Thank you!
This guy really knows what he is talking about. Grain free is hard but trying is believing. I did it for 4 months and felt so much better...it was like a miracle. I had so much nerve pain that vanished. Probably mostly gluten in my case but I decided to eat Paleo most of the time. Works for me thank goodness..
Same here. For me burning feet, tingling, numbness, weakness in hands and feet, also excrutiating stabbing pain in shoulders and back, stiffness all over. To the point it was hard to hold a pen and to walk. Also to stay more than 15 minutes in the same position. No quality of life at all. I just wanted to die to put an end to the pain. 10+ years of pain and meds to pain and meds free in 3 months on a paleo diet. Gluten, corn and dairy were triggers in my case. They couldn't diagnose any of those symptoms. Blood work negative to CD. And was misdiagnosed 3 times in those years for my skin issues. All gone in 8 months. Definetely dermatitis herpetiformis. 80-90% of DH patients also have CD. But the majority of them don't have positive blood test.
When I started on (organic, gluten free, keto - I had reynauds syndrome, a lot of pains, allergies, painful gut problems and more. been 5 years and I don’t have any of that. I’m also 25 lbs. lighter and take no pharmaceuticals at 78.
I cut out sugar, gluten, and dairy for 3 months I lost 12 pounds, my acne cleared up and my menstrual cramps and flow reduced significantly...I now eat those occasionally and my cramps are still non existent. I use to need 1000mg of IB twice a day for 6 days and many super ultra tampons but my last cycle I only took 600mg of IBUPROFEN two separate days (1200mg total for a 6 day cycle) when I ate 🍰 and I was good with a super tampon and needed less changing... I hope this helps someone else... Am learning more and working on improving my diet it's a process and journey.
Thank you for your post, it’s comforting to know that I’m not alone. I am finding that I now have a gluten intolerance. Have you found it has been difficult to make meals or have a normal diet without gluten? Seems like gluten is in everything! 😞
@@andreadee5036 you probably have some iron deficiency and low omega 3s. It sounds like you have pcos. take some cod liver oil And eat beef liver 3 or 4 times a week. Also increase your healthy fats by a lot. 2 tablespoons per meal. Also start drinking bone broth, put it in soup or anything. I hope this helps! If you don't see a reduction in bleeding in 3 months you might need to go to a doctor, you could have a fibroid, endometriosis, or God forbid I know a lady who had leukemia who had the same symptoms.
Same, but I’ve been accidentally glutened and it sets me back terribly, it takes for ever to get gluten out of my system. It’s interesting to hear Peter say celiac disease can cause weight gain, that’s me. 🤷♀️ I think fasting is my way out. I’ve been celiac for 15 years I seem to get worse with age, I’m 77.

Listening to this doctor I am now coming to believe that I do not have MS but have some sort of "gluten intolerence". My mother had similar symptoms and most of my siblings do too but we were brought up withe the mantra "doctors know best". Well sod it, I am waiting for my copy of no grain, no pain and am going to try this. As one of your responders says being misdiagnosed by NHS who only look at the symptoms you present, not the whole picture. I hope everyone who finds this channel goes on to try this and feel a whole lot better.
I got restless legs, IBS, psoriasis and horrible anxiety nearly daily. Damn... im glad i found your video, im definitely going to go gluten free after this!!
My classic symptom is lethargy and tiredness. I haven’t had gluten for a couple of years but on occasions I’ve inadvertently eaten it … I always know because I physically want to shut down about 30 minutes later.
Wow it is mind blowing information! Thank you so much! After almost 10 years of suffering none of my doctors ever told me to have gluten free diet but I had to be my own health advocate and stop and start different diet on my own. I finally cracked the code! Stopped eating Gluten and became vegetarian, it is like a Miracle from God! I am so grateful to all the different doctors on UA-cam who lead me to check things out and listen to my body. The recovery process was instant for me! I am waiting to see if my hypothyroidism goes away as well. I am hopeful.
I am Celiac and have Dermatitis Herpetiformis among many other conditions. I am reading this book and it's amazing!! It's an absolute necessity if your are trying to determine if you are gluten sensitive or Celiac and how to heal. It's the all inclusive guide to healing. Thank you Dr. Osborne! God bless you!
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, had nodules and felt like I was overdosing on caffeine all the time. Had a radioactive treatment done(ruined my life), I’ve never been the same since. I’ve been taking thyroid meds but I’m so tired that I can barely function. Joint pain, inflammation, weight gain. My doctors never once brought up gluten. I asked my doctor if I could be celiac and he all but laughed at me. Said it was impossible at my age(in my 30’s at the time, now 40). I’m not sure that I am celiac but I think at this point it’s pretty clear that a gluten sensitivity is probably involved. I wish more doctors understood how important food is. I’ve lost so many years to this fatigue and it didn’t have to be that way.
I have had all the symptoms for over 50 yrs. I recently went on a gluten free diet myself and have been feeling much better. I went to every kind of dr. You can think of over the yrs.
I am so happy I found your video on gluten!!! I have struggled all my life being overweight. I have tried so many diets that only failed. Recently I have been diagnosed with sciatica, lumbar problems, numb feet, osteoarthritis in my spine and knees. Lately I have used whole wheat flour to make my own bread without yeast. It was ok but I start noticing how the wheat would cause discomfort and cramping with painful bowel movements. I really want to try going gluten free and hope it would solve my problems. God bless you for sharing this!!! 👍💯💗
I suffered with 10 yrs of opiate/ opioid addiction. A couple years ago I started getting very sick...every symptom you mentioned. Holy cow i think im gluten intolerant. Should sugar be avoided too? I spent 2 years being very sick no doctor can figure out what is going on. Im gonna try this and I will send an update.
Since I turned 20 almost ten years algo I have been diagnosed with pcos, adhd, pmdd and restless leg syndrome, hypothiroidism and I'm always bloated... My current doctor told me to stop eating gluten and now I understand why
Eating products with gluten is like a time bomb waiting to explode. In my case it resulted in psoriasis, an auto immune disease. I became gluten free and only ate vegetables and tofu and drank 4 litres of water daily. With 3 weeks, I began to see improvement with my psoriasis and overall skin health. Overall I feel so energetic and happy now.
Since the 50s they modified the wheat to produce higher yield BUT NOW IT HAS A MUCH HIGHER GLUTEN CONTENT!!! the book Wheat Belly describes how the gluten passes the the blood brain barrier. Very informative book
Dr Osborne's work is pure gold! When I stopped wheat/gluten my life changed but, by this stage the damage was so severe, which causes complications! Still I'm seeing improvement everyday. Don't wait until it's an uphill journey; there's no harm in trying something different for a month, just to check!
I cut out wheat, barley and true 13 years ago, after 2 years of my gallbladder removal. I have had IBS since a teenager. The gf diet worked good until this year. Diarrhea one and odd. Wonder if the other grains that mimic gluten in wheat are now affecting me? Also with dairy mimicking gluten it could be that. Maybe an elimination diet next. Gluten sensitive not celiac.
@@francesshaw2136 go test for histamine intolerance and sibo very Important you rule them out first before anything trust me don’t waste any more time with your health these are the most likely after years of gluten free diet not working as well as it did before and if left untreated it could turn into mcas
Ayurveda believes in 7 stages of dis-ease. In Western medicine, we are taught what is common is "normal." When really its the beginning stages of disease. Our body is always talking, are we listening? After years of not feeling well, being told I was fine focusing on eating a plant based diet-many grains, legumes, nuts-who knew gluten/dairy was such a problem for me. I was in severe pain, brain fog, ADD, neuropathy in extremeties. I tried it ALL for years! Today, I live gluten free on a personalized AIP Paleo lifestyle/diet. Today I feel better than I ever did in my life! My life is a huge focus on diet with high doses of nature, yoga, meditation, and lots of self care. Many schools of thought believe disease begins in gut, I agree from my own experience and studies, take care of that gut! Great video!
Thank u for this video. I have TINNITUS,depression, fatigue, dizziness, and it all is intensified when I eat wheat and caffeine!!! Now I know and will illuminate the wheat and caffeine.
Dr, I had multiple sclerosis. Since i hv started on a gluten free diet, i feel overall better. I am able to manage my ms. You are very right...gluten can cause harm to our nerves. Thanks for such an informative video. It reaffirms my faith to go gluten free. I hv hypothyroid since 25yrs now. May be that is also due to gluten.
I was diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and treated with medication for about seven years and after a blood test showing gluten sensitivity, went on a gluten sensitive diet. I no longer need the medication. My symptoms have been notably reduced.
You know I was diagnosed with PA 5 years ago and my symptoms have gotten a lot worse over the years, along with severe stomach problems, joint problems, nerves, anxiety and depression to name a few. I have just had a upper endoscopy and they suspect celiac although I will wait biopsy results and see. Just goes to show how many people are misdiagnosed!
I’ve been gluten free 10 months now and I feel amazing! I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease and that is the first thing I read about and applied. Ive managed to stay off all medications bcuz my symptoms have come down and blood work is amazing. Hoping this stays the course!
Currently 10/09/2023 living in Orlando Florida and I have been having on going issues for years that my drs haven’t figured out. This past week I explained the issues between my diet, gut, skin and mental all seem to get worse when gluten is involved simply because there’s physical proof that aligns. I learned to mention that, thanks to a lot of videos like this, I am going to a GI Doctor coming this next week trying to get to the bottom of my issues. I have no information on family history on either side but I am trying to get to the bottom of this and I haven’t been myself for years. Getting to the bottom of this and genetic testing is all I can do for my daughter but these types of videos are invaluable to people like me who feel like they have to advocate or find answers for themselves. You are appreciated!
I had neuropathy in my limbs, my hands hurt all the time, I had horrendous whole body pain, but the worse of the pain was in my face. I believe my trigeminal nerve was damaged. My face often felt like I had a blow torch to it and the shooting pains were unbearable. The worse of this started after going GF and before going grain free. Thank you for all your help, Dr O. I know I would not have healed without it.
Well, I'm a doctor and nobody ever told me about gluten sensitivity during my studies. Celiac- yes, but other than that no nutrition education. Sad really.
Same here. I always looked for stomach issues. Don’t worry, I was punished for my ignorance. I developed body aches, joint pain and brain fog. Some people have to learn the hard way! 😄
I also expect no one told you, we are all mortal and therefore, we die. The med schools seem to have a problem with death. They see it as failure of the medical establishment......not exactly the same as allowing people to gracefully move on. Nope......none of that........
It’s nice to see doctors in this community as well. I know that y’all get into this profession because y’all care about helping people. I didn’t get into the medical field because I couldn’t live with myself if a patient died in my care or I gave wrong advice because I was misinformed. I consider you brave for trying to help and I know the human body is very complex and your field is growing faster every day. I don’t discount anything I hear from my doctor because sometimes the details I miss he catches. I also know that not all patients reveal everything that is wrong till it gets so bad they can’t function normally. My wake up call was tennis elbow that would not heal. It took me a year and a half to finally function normally again. I lost my job in the process and had physical therapy that was not really having a lot of effect on the pain. I was also aware of side effects of pain meds and was not wanting to go down that road. I knew plenty of people who developed a problem from them. I am a different case because of so many details that seem like nothing turn into something bigger later. I’m on my final year of college and my grades are better now than they were when I was in high school and I have more to juggle and older now. I also have family that suffers from similar issues as well. They saw the changes in my habits ( having more energy) my mom is a retired RN and she decided to try this. She has started to read “ No Grain No Pain” and she is starting to convert. She also wishes she would have known about this sooner as well. Her results so far consist of gradual weight loss and increased mobility. She is out of a wheelchair and walking with a walker. This was something her doctor said was impossible due to diabetic neuropathy. She just started conversation about 2 months ago and lost 56 pounds. Pandemic has been terrible on diets so it’s going slower than we all like but the results are staying stable.
@@rachelneckar6083 thanks for sharing your thoughts. Wishing you and your family a journey that only leads upwards both mentally and physically. You got this. ❤
When I quit gluten 10 years ago, lower back, hip and other joint pain went away. I’m in my 70s now, and symptoms have not returned I can have it occasionally, but can’t make it a habit.
I took Metronidazole for a tooth ache and my life just turned over. My life was turned upside down overnight. I think I've had over 200 different symptoms, each one as horrible as the next. I thought I was going to die. Multiple panic attacks several times a day, the inability to get out of bed sometimes, severe anxiety, the inability to cope with noise, people, light and so on. Repeated discomfort. Blood pressure rises and falls. Extremely severe digestive problems with vertigo and dizziness. Cerebral fog, depersonalisation to the point where I no longer recognise myself or my loved ones. Attacks of chronic fatigue, migraines that just wanted to end, pain all over my body, hearing loss......ETC That was 4 years ago. Today, thanks to a radical change in my lifestyle thanks to naturopathy and functional medicine, I can see an improvement. I still have certain problems due to multiple intolerances and OCD. I've never managed to stop eating gluten and dairy products long enough, but I intend to get there. I think full recovery will come when I do. Thanks to all the functional doctors and naturopaths for their support and wonderful work.
Pharmacist here…3 day muscle soreness after exercise, chronic problem. CoQ 10 daily keeps me pain free, and I can exercise now without fear of this pain! I must have a metabolism issue.
Glad you’ve found something that helps you. What kind of CO Q 10 do you take and how long did it take until you started noticing a positive difference? Thanks.
I have been suffering from RA, and IBS. My husband was diagnosed 2weeks ago with celiac. This video came in my feed it’s a must watch video. Thank you for this information.
Everyone thought I was crazy and had an eating disorder but I was just gluten sensitive the whole time. I had symptoms of IBS, irregular menses, migraines, a severely elevated liver enzyme (with no other explanation as a healthy 18 y/o woman), chronic fatigue and weight issues. It’s unbelievable what gluten can do to you.
Thank you from Australia. After been repeatedly misdiagnosed, finally, a dermatologist diagnosed DH. I know learn thanks to you that my mothers constellation of symptoms and diseases are strongly linked. thank you.
Thanks for this video! I suspect i have gluten sensativity. When i was young, i was thin, suffered from mouth ulcers, vertigo, excruciating peroids. Now at 44 im obese, and the last 2 years suffered with chronic constipation and have had two abcesses in my digestive tract that required surgery. I suffered from alcoholism, depression. I have switched to a keto diet, cut gluten and sugar. Now ive lost 20 pounds. Bp is finally normal.one month in and my mental and physical health are amazing. I feel like i have never felt before. Ive eaten heavy gluten for 44 years
I ate shredded wheat cereal last night and woke up with mucus in my throat and sinuses and my feet hurt to walk on (neuropathy) and I have a slight headache so I found this video… I thought I had a slight CD for the longest…didn’t know why some mornings I wake up and can’t walk well on my feet and recently I have been eating less but gaining weight. Oh yes and my face and head swells like crazy up and down…depending on the types and amount of gluten Thank you
I had unexplained weight loss, starting a few years ago, and hypothyroidism for over a decade. It turns out it was a malabsorption problem due to gluten sensitivity. Once I eliminated gluten from my diet, I started putting on weight again.
I was very lucky to have a well trained and informed doctor who checked my labs and questioned me about certain symptoms. She ordered a screen for allergies which showed a high level of wheat allergy. Since then, I have removed gluten completely and my symptoms went away. I know now that if I have gluten by “accident” I have a horrible reaction! I have medication to take when I have a flare up, and follow up by flooding my body with water until I’m back to “normal.” The gluten-free products available now are much better than when I was diagnosed. My favorite bread products are made by a company called Schar. Schar prepares wonderful breads, cookies, flour, and other products which I enjoy. It can be very depressing when I’m hit with gluten and I go through the process of “deglutenizing” my body. I also take a probiotic daily to help keep my system as clean as possible. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. 🙋🏻♀️
terrible symptoms for 3 months (docs think functional dyspepsia) , gnawing stomach pain, esophageal spasms, reflux, pressure in stomach and chest ..... going gluten free is already showing results... good luck all Great video with good info 😀
Dermatitis herpetiformis is truly awful. I’ve had to deal with it for 15 years. Misdiagnosed by two dermatologists. I basically diagnosed myself with research and finally convinced third dermatologist to do a skin biopsy. Celiac’s confirmed. I only had digestive and intestinal symptoms occasionally. Dapsone has been my savior. Even though I am basically gluten free, I still break out in the typical blisters from time to time. I will most likely be taking Dapsone for the rest of my life, and have my blood checked regularly due to the side effects of the medication.
You rock! Thanks so much. For years I thought I had celiac disease and genetic testing showed I did not. I do however have the inflammation type gluten sensitivity and was also told I also have a gluten allergy because I get hives and anaphylaxis from ingesting wheat. And of course I have eczema too on my fingers and the palm of my hands but it's been controlled by eating a gluten free diet. I find I have to watch everything I eat but my health is worth it.
I’m speechless. Thank you so very much for the help. I only discovered you two days ago. I never really get any answers from the digestive dr. You are saving lives! I never purposely eat the glue but I’m buying your book anyway. Neurotoxin, why has no one ever said that?
Hyperthyroidism, ibs, depression, anxiety, waking up every night throwing up, tinnitus, acne, hives, heavy painful periods, yup. I am so grateful for people like you for putting this info out there for people who were in pain like me.
Wow! So sorry Jennifer! I know how you feel. 😢 have you considered Keto? I also listen to Dr Eric Berg. Good authority on keto. I'm considering this diet myself. I need better self-discipline. God bless!
@@SingPrayPaint I am also facing the systems and go to many doc thy told to different test and test again 1/2year .Now I surched you .I hope I follow your instructions and become healdy soon.
@Caila That is not true. Anyone's diet can be deficient. But if someone is vegan, it doesn't mean they are deficient. I have been vegan 7 years and my bloodwork is perfect. I know others who have been vegan longer and the same is true.
I'm so grateful one can finf these videos after so many years. Very informative!!! I'm 36 years old and i have struggled all my life with severe constipation, stomach pain, bloating, acne and now in recent years severe join pain and fatigue. I'm what's considered a "healthy person" atletic, good eating habits and good mental health, but i am trying to cut out gluten and see how my body starts to work with me :) i will keep going! Thx
I was told I had non alcoholic fatty liver when I was 23. I’ve always been heavy , went gluten free and lost 45lbs in 3 months. Started eating bread again and now at 30 I’m back to gluten free. Lost 10lbs in two weeks,
When I cut out all gluten I dropped some weight pretty fast. I think initially what I lost excess water and inflammation and later on I did lose some actual fat. I lost about 25 pounds. 😊
What’s wrong with me, I don’t eat Gluten due to being celiac. I can’t lose weight ? I love soy, now I need to take that out of my diet, along with dairy. 🤷♀️
First diagnosed with dermatomyositis 23 years ago by a dermatologist. All tests came back negative but she still believed that was my problem. Began treatment by rheumatologist -- methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, and periodic ivig. Had to change rheumatologists and after 6 months he dismissed me as a patient because all tests were negative and he said mine was a dermatologic problem. Continued methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine treatment with dermatologist for a few years. Skin cleared up for a while then came back. Now I'm in full-blown inflammation. Then I stumbled on one of your videos, bought the book, and began to follow it just about a week ago. No results yet but I'm hopeful.
Thank so much I made homemade bread for the first time in three years one piece made me sleep 11 hours mormaley I sleep 6 hours. It was a though I took a sleeping pill and was very lethargic. I am not sugar diabetic but I do have neuropathy in the feet.
I was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity plus I have Hashimoto. I went gluten free and felt unbelievably good. After a couple years going gluten free and feeling good I started eating gluten again. It was not a good idea. My arthritis had flared up and I started getting diarrhea. Talking about gluten sensitivity and loosing pregnancy. I went through that too. But was told it was my Hashimoto causing that. When I had my TSH level in good standing I’ve got pregnant right away and kept the pregnancy. I had my baby at 42.
It would be a lot simpler if we could stop eating and get nutrition directly into the bloodstream. Just bypass the digestive system all together. Too much hassle. I went on a fast years ago for 14 days and felt great. Loved it! What a time saver not having to prepare food, eat, and clean up. I've tried to do it again but can't go beyond 3 days.
Yes please. Or just put all the necessary nutrients into a capsule. I’ll take it three times a day. Like a good girl. And my son (who suffers the most sensitivity) will follow suit.

You know your self, by removing gluten, that’s how I found out I was celiac. As soon as I slip up and eat gluten I’m so sick and can’t leave the house. It takes for ever removing gluten from my system. I’m buying the book. Dr Osbourne sure knows his stuff.
I absolutely can not eat anything made of wheat without severe intestinal symptoms but, I never loose weight or develop anemia. I have all the other markers, though. I have chronic skin problems, kidney disease, an enlarged heart, high blood pressure, neurological problems, knee pain and an autoimmune dusease. Going gluten-free has relieved only the intestinal problems.
I am so grateful I found you, You are a god send, I have been feeling horrible, I stopped with the gluten, I feel a lot better, I went to my doctor and I received a song and a dance, but I have a lot of the things you are saying, I was taking Pepto for my stomach pain, so I have to wait two weeks for a blood test, because my doctor told me Pepto will have to go out of my body or it will give me a false reading, so I had to be my own doctor, I stopped anything with gluten in it for the last two weeks and I am starting to feel better, my niece has a bad gluten problem, so I guess it runs in my family, so I thank you very much for all your advise.
This is crazy... i have almost all symptoms, and my daughter even have suffered from eleptic problems. I just resent diagnosed my self as gluten allergic, and stated a gluten free diet, and all of my symptoms are fating away.... pain, diarrhea, headache, fatigue, memory problems, anger, blowdednes, ect. Thank you for this eye opening video. After 44 years of suffering I'm finally being tested for coeliac disease. Regardless of the results I will never ever touch grains again. I've been grain free for a few weeks and I'm feeling better each day. There is so much damage in my body but I intend to fix it all naturally. Gluten is evil and I believe it is bad for everyone.
@@Charlie-eq3dj I have been off any grains except ocassional brown rice noodles for a few months. I eat only animal foods, fruits and potatoes. No veggies either. I will never start eating grains again. So many symptoms gone. I used to have migraines acompanied by heavy vomiting every month - last two migraines were almost unnoticeable. No pain in joints, bones, no nausea, but most importantly no suicidal thoughs I used to have every single day. I'm so much calmer and happier. This must have been a miracle because I'm very inconsistent and gluten was everything to me. If I made it everyone can.
I am really surprised you don't h 'ave 1 million subscriber. I have been listening to youtube and podcasts ''health related'' topics for years now and I find the information you provide about gluten is not only accurate but also very elaborated.
I have had dizziness, brain fog, extreme fatigue, constipation, depression (many medications are not helping) for almost a year now. About a year ago I was also diagnosed with milk and egg allergies. Do you think gluten could be my issue? My doctors cannot figure out what is going on with me.
Could be, apparently people who don't tolerate milk, also react to gluten. Or react in a way you cannot pinpoint and you can't make the association. Why not try eliminating it and see what happens... Good luck!
Be your own healer and cut out those allergens and gluten. The proteins in gluten are similar to the dairy proteins and soy and( corn to I think) so cause similar damage and inflammation from the immune system attacking different organs and bodily tissues. You need to be your own health caretaker so if you haven't done do it and see what happens yoyrve got more to gain than lose.
I had all these symptoms. Ended up being mercury poisoning. I now eat properly fermented sourdough made with organic flour. Everyday for the last 7 years. I've never been healthier. It's not always the gluten. It's the instant yeast and the unfermented wheat causing issues.
My issue with gluten was migraines for almost 20 years. My specialist and I tried every medication known to treat migraines but with no success. Out of desperation he suggested I try going gluten free and at that point I was willing to try almost anything. Within one week I was migraine free!! To this day I remain migraine free other than three times I was told something was gluten free only to discover later - after suffering another migraine that this food was indeed NOT gluten free.
Thankyou Dr Osborne, everything you said was entirely true, you know exactly what you're talking about, l had a good many of these symptoms for many years, l wish l had met you years ago, l am now sixty seven years old, l have been gluten free now since my early forties, this has been the only time l have been healthy in my life, prior to this l was always chronically sick.On this subject it's the best video l have ever seen, thankyou so ,so much, you're a great Doctor.

@Ma P were you experiencing vertigo/dizziness?

Fifteen years for me, on and off Lexapro. No more!

Very similar to my story for the past 20 years.. finally getting my blood tested for gluten allergy this week. I kind of hope this is the cause..

Mind you some of these issues I have been dealing with for a long time
1. Severe scalp dermatitis (5 years)
2. Constipation issues (3 years)
3. Joint pain in right shoulder (6 years)
4. Strong underarm BO (3 years) - this one surprised me. Clinical strength deodorant didn't even work, and now I can go deodorant free for a day or two without an issue
5. Foul Embarrassing gas
6. Brain Fog, memory issues

You can do this! You'll get your ⌛figure back in no time... just don't give up!

Txs a lot for your comment. I print screen this and sent to my sis. This totally relates to her.
Thank you for your post, it’s comforting to know that I’m not alone. I am finding that I now have a gluten intolerance. Have you found it has been difficult to make meals or have a normal diet without gluten? Seems like gluten is in everything! 😞

Gluten free for 8 years after a Celiac diagnosis.
Hate to think how bad things would be without the change.
Same, but I’ve been accidentally glutened and it sets me back terribly, it takes for ever to get gluten out of my system.
You are not celiac. That is not your name. You have celiac disease, but you are not celiac. Don't define yourself by your disease

Did you go gluten free? How are you doing now?
Eating products with gluten is like a time bomb waiting to explode. In my case it resulted in psoriasis, an auto immune disease. I became gluten free and only ate vegetables and tofu and drank 4 litres of water daily. With 3 weeks, I began to see improvement with my psoriasis and overall skin health. Overall I feel so energetic and happy now.

Dr Osborne's work is pure gold! When I stopped wheat/gluten my life changed but, by this stage the damage was so severe, which causes complications! Still I'm seeing improvement everyday. What kind of damage did you have?
I cut out wheat, barley and true 13 years ago, after 2 years of my gallbladder removal. I have had IBS since a teenager. The gf diet worked good until this year. Diarrhea one and odd. Wonder if the other grains that mimic gluten in wheat are now affecting me? Also with dairy mimicking gluten it could be that. Maybe an elimination diet next. Gluten sensitive not celiac.

I had unexplained weight loss, starting a few years ago, and hypothyroidism for over a decade. It turns out it was a malabsorption problem due to gluten sensitivity. Once I eliminated gluten from my diet, I started putting on weight again.
Glut n causes acne for me and i have been struggling for acne since my adulthood. No doctor ever told me that it can be caused by gluten.

First diagnosed with dermatomyositis 23 years ago by a dermatologist. All tests came back negative but she still believed that was my problem. Began treatment by rheumatologist -- methotrexate, hydroxychloroquine, and periodic ivig. Had to change rheumatologists and after 6 months he dismissed me as a patient because all tests were negative and he said mine was a dermatologic problem. Continued methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine treatment with dermatologist for a few years. Skin cleared up for a while then came back. Now I'm in full-blown inflammation.
But what about when your stomach growls? Hunger pangs? That's your body telling you to eat

Where do you find that bread?
My issue with gluten was migraines for almost 20 years. My specialist and I tried every medication known to treat migraines but with no success. Out of desperation he suggested I try going gluten free and at that point I was willing to try almost anything. Within one week I was migraine free!! To this day I remain migraine free other than three times I was told something was gluten free only to discover later - after suffering another migraine that this food was indeed NOT gluten free.
How frequent were your migraines?
@@dejae.9334 I had migraines 3-4 times per week. It was extremely debilitating.
How about Fybromyalgia? Last three weeks have gone gluton free, aches and pains less, less brain fog and feel more awake❤️
