    Was a joy to work on this wonderful little unit. A great example of a 3600. Thanks for watching a fellers video folks. Don't forget to subscribe. 😀

    I have a 1981 3600 and absolutely love it. I do work on stuff, but a bit scares to bleed fuel system after the filter change. Loved this video and your humble words. I have to replace the shifter cups too, and didn’t know best way. Thanks for showing us how it's done! Looking forward to more Old Blues from you.

    I have a 3600 that’s been sitting for 15 years friend said I can have it. It ran when parked so have to go thru it all and this video is so far very helpful. Would love to pick your brain about the tractor if you have a way to reach out to you?

    Goodnight. In this tractor you need to do three different oil changes:
    1_engine oil and filter;
    2_Gearbox oil and filter;
    3_Hydralic oil.
    Am I correct or not?
    I have one and I need to have it checked/maintained

      Correct that is the process. Make sure to check the air filter also. Thanks so much for watching

      @@vintagediesel-1 But I have a problem here, because it seems that there are several models of the Ford 3600 tractor.
      On mine 3600, I have already located the points where it is to introduce the engine and gearbox oils, but I cannot locate the point where it is to introduce the hydraulic oil?!...

      @@JoseAlberto-yr6ni I show it here in the video. It should be when your standing at the back of the tractor to the right of the seat.Some have plugs on both sides. Don't forget to take the bottom plug out as I show here to know when you have enough fluid. Hope that helps and thanks you for watching.

      @@vintagediesel-1 Well, I've already looked for it next to the seat and the hydraulic handle, but I can't find anything there!
      About the oil I bought today for the Petronas Urania 800 15W-40 engine.
      For the box/rear axle/hydraulics, I bought Castrol Transmax Agri 15W-40, but they told me I should have opted for 10W-30. What do you think?

      Sit on the seat and the refill plug should be under the seat about where your right butt cheek is. Looks just like the refill plug for transmission beside your shifter.@@JoseAlberto-yr6ni

    My 1978 3600 needs another gear driven hydraulic pump. Is it an easy on off or do I need it set in a certain gear or set timing mark at a point or...or...or..

    • @vintagediesel-1
      @vintagediesel-1  Місяць тому

      These units are dead simple no timing required. Thanks so much for watching

      To explain the process of priming the hydraulic system on these first remove the hydraulic filter at the pump second is to loosen the line when looking at the pump will be the line to the right with the flange nut. Loosen it and then crank the engine. You should put your hand over the filter base and should feel air pressure. You will here it as it begins to push fluid and it will begin to run out of the line you loosened. Now tighten it back replace filter and congrats. Thanks for watching

      @@vintagediesel-1 I just read this.... after I emulated what you did in the video except I removed feed line as engine ran. After getting over being freaked out and covered in fluid as I hastily tried to rescrew the feed line from fetal position, I realized that I now have flow. I just got out of the shower and will finish up with these instructions. Thank you very much for your guidance! David

      @@Romans12_18 Excellent news so glad it helped and congrats on getting it done. So awesome to see my work helping folks like you when it matters. Again thanks so much for watching a fellers video. It makes all this worth it. More Ford stuff coming
