What I like about your videos is you are a field service tech. Most service tech videos they show themselves doing this work in a nice air conditioned shop, your doing it in the heat of Texas and if anyone knows how hot it is this week in Texas I am classifying you as hardcore service tech. keep it up...
Thanks so much for that and thanks for watching
67 bug 12 v easy fix
I don't miss having Volkswagens they were fun back in the day but seems that all I ever did was work on them besides that you people are driving eggs around and you just don't know it
Classics aren't for everyone. Some people want a car to be more of an appliance like a microwave. Something this old it's expected your gonna have to wrench on it. Thanks for watching
@@vintagediesel-1 You're still driving an egg 🤣
Negative my buddy is driving an 🥚 but I get were your going 😂
Very cool car. I have a 1968 911 with the 2.0 flat 6 & weber IDA carbs i need to get working on
Very cool. Thanks for watching
I learned to drive a 4 speed in one. I'd like to have one. My dream car.
You are lucky… I grew up in the big woods of the Pacific Northwest. Every year there would be a kid, and loggers that would die from falling limbs… It’s no joke. Your guardian angel was working overtime that day!
Absolutely. We were both lucky. Thanks for watching
sir can you tell me where you sourced your genuine Kubota parts for this rebuild?
Originally from Kubota however I now carry a full line of MaxiForce parts for the Kubota
Contact me I would be happy to sell you what you need
What hydraulic oil do you use in the Ford 3600? Just bought one. My first tractor! Runs and works great so far, btw.
Iso32 should do it fine Sir. Thanks so much for watching. Enjoy your first tractor.
Thanks Mike
Absolutely buddy. Happy to be a part of it. Stoked for the next one
Pretty interesting project, how many hours do you think you had into it? Were you able to work on it every day or did you need to do it in between other projects?
We had to work it between my other jobs mainly on the weekends. Probably in the neighborhood of 40 hours for the project. Thanks so much for watching. Part 3 is coming today
Great video . Just changed my pump out of my 2020 . The John Deere shop quoted me $2200 for the repair . After watching your video I did it myself and saved over $1600 . Thanks again .
Excellent. So glad it helped you out and thanks for watching
No self-respecting man names their vehicle
Says who? 😂 I have named all my vehicles at some point.
@@vintagediesel-1 well I did say no self-respecting man
Lol I'll take it 😉 thanks for watching
FUNNY AS HELL 😂😂😂😂😂 SLOW DOWN MIKE
Never 😂
That is pretty sick your custom must be excited to see it come together......
He is beside his self to get back on the road with it. It has been a blast to build. Soon he has another project that I plan to show in the future after his bank account recovers from this build that we will feature here on the channel.
My girl
Nice
Is this comparable to a long 2150 hydraulics for the three point lift?
Yes it should be. Thanks for watching
Looks like a good time to me...
Indeed it was
Bro, I get it!!! Good clip!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
You can say new
I could have but it didn't come to mind 🤣
@@vintagediesel-1 true I was just saying that is all sorry to say anything
Not a problem at all. Thanks for commenting and for watching
Love them old bugs
Good on snow. Could float. In Quebec a bridge went out and many cars drove off the down bridge into the river. The only car that made it was the bug. It floate. Good car.
These little things are very agile. Thanks so much for the input and for watching 🙂
Bought a 180hp 2160cc built by CB performance in 2004 for 4k 😅 still runs like a beast
Awesome. Thanks so much for watching
Heck build it yourself

Boat anchors are us
I'd be interested in it but not in your big fat arm in the way so I can't see it
Gotta love those old VW bugs! Also, Can’t forget about the Chevy Suburban that’s been around just as long!
It was dubbed the people's car, and the people have been dubbing it ever since😂.
Good times
Absolutely. Almost to the finish line 😃
I have a 1981 3600 and absolutely love it. I do work on stuff, but a bit scares to bleed fuel system after the filter change. Loved this video and your humble words. I have to replace the shifter cups too, and didn’t know best way. Thanks for showing us how it's done! Looking forward to more Old Blues from you.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching. Lots more to come.
You spun a bearing...
Indeed lol

Best motor ever made. This and the Ford inline 300 v6
The iron duke is a solid 3rd
Listen to that thing chug away
Is it oil impregnated
I will have to check on that. Thanks so much for watching.
Boy double howdy, is that the stock filter ? I bought a 44 year old tractor with the original 1978 filter still in it...
Yessir and to top it off this unit had less than a 100 hours on it
❤true , must infuse it with oil first, though ❤️
The unit is actually greased from a zerk fitting that is built onto the pedestal that mounts to it but is on the bottom out of sight unless you know it is there. They didn't 😂 Thanks for watching
Aint no grease son!!!
Actually the swivel does have a grease fitting if you want to go watch the full video. Don't forget that subscribe button son 😆. Thanks for watching
hope that was distilled water.
Indeed it was. Lol I didn't have a small container to pour with so I used that lol
Michael is awesome, great customer service I have a Kubota V3800 out of a Rayco 100LGP and he has been so helpful compared to that of our local Kubota dealers here in Maine. Also it is nice to talk to someone that actually builds motors and understands quality parts. I will be buying all my Kubota and Cummings engines from Vintage Diesel
Thanks so much.
I have a 3600 that’s been sitting for 15 years friend said I can have it. It ran when parked so have to go thru it all and this video is so far very helpful. Would love to pick your brain about the tractor if you have a way to reach out to you?
You can find the me on facebook also and you can reach me there. Glad to see this video reaching out. Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for watching. Here's the facebook link facebook.com/profile.php?id=100091650780909
Monsoon season, you got that right!
Ya heard it here first 😂
Diesel Dude, My Ford 3600 with gear driven hydraulic pump doesn't want to self prime. I have found a small leak on pump from circle with a clip pin. Is this my problem? Do I need new pump? David
The answer and possible solution can be found around the 43 minute mark of the following video hope that helps but please ask there if you have more questions. Thanks for watching. ua-cam.com/video/UHTBqprxoxU/v-deo.htmlsi=jEY2d5F99U2SNjZ5
My 1978 3600 needs another gear driven hydraulic pump. Is it an easy on off or do I need it set in a certain gear or set timing mark at a point or...or...or..
These units are dead simple no timing required. Thanks so much for watching
To explain the process of priming the hydraulic system on these first remove the hydraulic filter at the pump second is to loosen the line when looking at the pump will be the line to the right with the flange nut. Loosen it and then crank the engine. You should put your hand over the filter base and should feel air pressure. You will here it as it begins to push fluid and it will begin to run out of the line you loosened. Now tighten it back replace filter and congrats. Thanks for watching
@@vintagediesel-1 I just read this.... after I emulated what you did in the video except I removed feed line as engine ran. After getting over being freaked out and covered in fluid as I hastily tried to rescrew the feed line from fetal position, I realized that I now have flow. I just got out of the shower and will finish up with these instructions. Thank you very much for your guidance! David
@@Romans12_18 Excellent news so glad it helped and congrats on getting it done. So awesome to see my work helping folks like you when it matters. Again thanks so much for watching a fellers video. It makes all this worth it. More Ford stuff coming
Its impressive that you split the tractor out in the yard. I would be afraid to attempt it not being on concrete.
It's not so bad in the open. I'm use to doing this stuff anywhere honestly. Thanks so much for watching.
🤔🤨😂
If it works is it really wrong? 😂
