This is supposed to be a 9-minute video, testing all three 'favorite' modes of mine namely: shimmer, cloud & swell. But, my phone's battery died at about 6:40 minutes. Apparently, though, I'm just too lazy to do another take at it & the only thing that wasn't thoroughly shown on the video is the swell mode. Both shimmer & cloud modes work best on ambient playing, slow-picking & suspended chord playing. The swell mode is quite ideal for heavy riffing on the other hand.
Notice that the reverb pedals are placed in front of an already driven "amp". Even at low-gain setting, this positioning puts the pedal(s) at a disadvantage as they create some sort of a white noise upon turning it on. Hence, a super clean channel is recommended when using this pedal in front of an amp. Either that, or just put it in between the amp's send/return loop, should you want a natural overdrive direct from the amp instead. That is to say, this pedal doesn't want a saturated/overdriven amp AFTER it.
For direct monitoring from the 'cube baby', I'm using an ATH-M20X headphones by Audio Technica. However, a parallel out also directly coming from the 'cube baby' itself goes to the audio input of my phone, which is just an old Samsung J6+ unit. And, upon transferring the 'ATH' into the 'J6' for previewing, there really isn't much variance at all. BUT, soon as I've watched the file/video from my desktop, which drives a pair of Bose Companion 2 Series II monitors, the discrepancies in audio quality is fairly large. Apparently, the 'ATH' trumps the 'companions' this time around, though.
Hence, quite likely, the tone you'll be hearing from your end may not give justice to how i've heard the pedal when i had it tested through my own system.
