Great video! How does this compare to the Perlisten push-pull subwoofers or the D15s you reviewed a few months back? Can't wait for part 2.
That thing is massive. If your home theater system is in your living room, would it be out of line to have two of these? Maybe I could put a slab of granite on top and call them end tables

How does this compare to KEF KF92?
Very similar design as the Perlisten D212s, this design must be important in achieving the THX dominance rating. Is this M&K sub more affordable than the Perlisten D212s or about the same, it doesn't look as nice, but I'm sure that the performance is there.
M&K Sound originated the push-pull dual driver subwoofer; Perlisten has their own version but they are not the first.

How much and where can a person buy them. I've been looking all over.

What is the price on the lineup? Need to see price vs performance ratio compared to funk, jtr, rythmik and psa. I have a feeling these will be way overpriced and get walked on by the above mentioned subs for the same or less money.
If you are in the mind set of comparing a 12" sub with 18 or 21" subs... well, the answer is obvious.

I would take a Power Sound Audio S2112 over this any day. It's got a high excursion 21" Neo woofer with 1800 watts continuous, over 3kW peak for just over $2000. I have no doubt it would blow this sub out the water in every metric and I could buy two of them and still have spare change compared to this subwoofer.
The PSA looks like a nice unit. Ive never seen one in the wild.

@@JilesMcCoy I did thanks, and found your review very informative and well done. But... and there is always a but.... the performance of this X12+ is very good, just not for $5000, in my opinion.
Like I said, purely speculative, but I would predict a high excursion 21" woofer with a 1.8kw amp to vastly outperform this X12+ in the mid-bass output, infrasonic output and low distortion domain. And its less than half the price.
Price/performance ratio has improved tremendously over the past 5 years, the likes of PSA, Rythmik or JTR are just better value propositions.
This X12+ *is* very good for a sealed dual 12" woofer design but there are better options out there for less - Jesus, one can buy a Deep Sea Sound 24" sub with one of the most robust 24" woofers on the planet with over 30"+mm of one-way throw for less than the X12+ that would run circles around it. Probably would run circles over the X15+ too.
@@Brick100 Different products for different market segments. Someone buying this sub most likely wouldn’t consider any of those options. Everything has a place!
Forgive me here, but I am growing incredibly skeptical of these mythical PSA subwoofer performance rivaling the big names. I have seen tons of online testimony and happy owners, I have even had conversations with Tom. The trouble is I am unable to find a single professional reviewer, or even You Tube reviewer (except youthman) to back up all of these claims. I even had a sealed 18IPAL in my own living space and was unable to get it to perform much better than my little 10” speedwoofer in some scenarios. Tom was incredibly helpful but we simply could not get the output I was after. This could easily be my amateur setup skills but I am astonished that nobody seems to be able to review these things with the exception of Youthman. I ended up with a monolith 13 and it delivered in spades regarding performance, which was backed up by testing with a THX Ultra cert to boot!
The reason I am asking is because I think it is time we see some numbers on these subs to give the PSA crowd some relief from the naysayers. It seems that every time a subwoofer is reviewed, someone has to chime in on how their PSA or rythmik is far superior and a far better value.
I am subwoofer shopping right now, and am not completely discounting PSA, but I really would love to see some objective data instead of “no doubt it would blow this sub away in every metric..” That is simply not good enough. I wish I had the equipment and skill set to do this myself but that is not in my wheelhouse unfortunately.
Forgive my little rant, but if you know of any actual reviews of the S2112 I am anxious to read/view it.
