    Just tried out this filter and when using lenses wider than a 24 you start to get a sort of vignette if the pola isn't in the right position, I'd recommend spending money on two separate filters

    What I really would like to know is if there are lens hoods that work with this, in order to remove glare along the side of the lens. In my case 67mm version for my 58mm lens attaching the 67mm with a step up ring

    Does the filter soften IQ sharpness at longer telephoto lengths like 600mm? I have a a Sony RX10 IV 24-600mm bridge camera.

    • @CamberFilmSchool
      @CamberFilmSchool  Рік тому +3

      ANY filter you put over a lens will soften the image some because you’re adding more (and typically cheaper) glass than what’s already there. That said, I didn’t notice any obvious added softness.

    Wonderful insight on the filter..man too bad its not a magnetic system!..that would have been so much better!..thats the main issue with these..that some of them are still thread on..which takes forever..so much more convenient when switching from lens to lens..but overall I am definitely willing to try this filter..especially with the reasonable price point.

    I didn’t hear you mention it but was there any noticeable colour cast?

    • @CamberFilmSchool
      @CamberFilmSchool  Рік тому +1

      I didn’t notice any color cast issues. As far as the amount of stops you need, it would depend on what aperture you plan to use and time of day. If it’s during golden hour, it should be plenty. High noon may need more.
