Should have used 1 of the 2 switch wires in the bedroom for the cupboard as the switch will be back to back
PIR in the cupboard is a good idea. You can tell if the missus is hiding a plumber in there when you come home early.

All joking aside pir in cupboards works well. Customers feel like they are getting something a bit special too... I mean, they arent, but I guess they see it as a bit space age lol
Will be an idea to use that second switch in that master suite for the closet that doesn't have any lights at all
I'd switch to a single switch in the suite, and put the double-switch in the hallway by the closet door where it appears a switch already exists for the hallway lighting.
That was my thought- you got two feeds running into the bedroom, disconnect one, pull it back and put it into the cupboard roof- poke a feed and that exbedroom feed through the wall into the new 'cupboard' switch point on the opposite side of the wall to the existing bedroom switch, and bingo- new cupboard circuit and a single bedroom feed, no new runs up the walls into the ceiling needed at all... thats how I would have done it...

You could of pulled one of those switch wires from that bedroom light and fed the cupboard 2 lights and just bell’d it out in that switch and put it in the cupboard switch with a feed.

Just a handy tip, the loft hatch is removable , when it’s hanging down slide it to the right (or left) and it will lift off the hinge and you can move it out the way while working 👍🏻

For the cupboard, why not pull one of the switch lines from the bedroom into the cupboard lights. Put a switch in the cupboard back to back with the bedroom. Loop in a feed and the "second" switch line from the bedroom.

Shouting at the screen. In the cupboard, reuse the second bedroom light feed. Swing it into a back to back switch fed from the existing switch. Then reroute it from the bedroom light to the cupboard. No fishing required!

Nice video...just a thought you already had two feeds out from the switch you swapped for a dimmer and only needed one for the bedroom lights...why not use one to feed the closet lights either switched with back to back switch in closet or perm live to the pir....save pulling another cable
Light switch in tiny cupboard is mad. You could have stuck the switch on the outside 🤣. That would eliminate the required "reach around" when looking for some light 😆

wonderfull new builds! random bit of the stairs sticking thought ceiling in cupboard ,specifically designed to hit your head on ,but just bad building,plus that massive cupboard upstairs not even a useful shape
Yeah it was a surprise for a new build to have wasted space 😂. Could of got another bedroom in there 🤣. I didn’t think they had lofts these days, instead a master bedroom

I particularly liked the magnetic snake,... back in the 80's I considered inventing something similar but every attempt involved a ferret , for some strange reason.... 😄

I really would love to get one of those CU that you replace. Din rails here but many CU here only has one busbar. No strict regulation like in the UK. (Thailand here)

You had two separate switch wires in master bedroom, why not just use the second one for the cupboard light and mount the switch back to back with the bedroom switch? No fishing or cutting out walls.
Client wanted to keep the option of having window light switch separately. I didn’t make that clear on the video.

Could have brought the feed and 1 switch wire through into the cupboard and then pulled the sw to the cupboard to power the light(just use 1 sw for the bedroom spots

Why didn't you use the cable from the 2nd pendant in that room for the feed for the cupboard instead of fishing a new feed in. 🤔 instead of linking out the switch lines, you could of just linked that one spot in the corner with the others ? Just a question! Always different when you're at the job obviously!

Going on about a split load board that are a normal thing to install not a empty cu to be filled with rcbo's way more expensive. Then goes and installs old style spots instead of built in led

@@Cjrelectrical lack of knowledge I'm a electrician come to a poor area and offer your prices for none split load boards. Yes rcbo's are great and definitely a future product but prices need to drop a bit more. Easy 9 £70 great board
@@Cjrelectrical also before it sounds like I'm mocking your work I'm not you do a great job all work is spot on just not all electricians can do rcbo's within price and hating on split when they conform to regs is not good as potential costumers who watch your channel see this as the norm.
We had the same issue with our tails, atleast 8m long. NIC made them come back and fit a kmf

Only thing I see you could’ve done differently is use one of the switch live cables from main bedroom to feed closet light instead of doubling up at switch and taking another cable up but it’s minor, only save you 10 min
Nice job! You could’ve used the switch wire left over in the bedroom as a switch wire for the cupboard? And just got a l+n supply to the switch in the cupboard from the bedroom switch!
