- A night custodian at one of L.A.’s downtown skyscrapers, Veronica is one of the many anonymous faces that clean up office cubicles once the daytime shift ends for the rest of us. An immigrant from El Salvador, Veronica finds peace and quiet at night, but also, at times, danger. Learn more about her discomfiting experience with sexual harassment on the job, and how she spends her time off during the day doing advocacy work to help other women like her defend themselves verbally and physically.

Somehow I've ended at this video after watching 4 episodes of Nightshift. This has been such an amazing dialogue on the topics of sexual harassment. The insight from an individual who both works within her community and her workforce is profound. I'm genuinely touched by her words and i'm thankful this video was able to capture her in this specific element of her life.
These are real heroines!
I wish there were more souls just like you Veronica. You really do set the example of how to lead. Strong women can come in tiny packages, but it's definitely a woman who works one of the hardest jobs. I know, but those who have never cleaned up from someone else, it's tiring HARD work. Blessings to you. I stand with you.

WOW! What a woman. I had an opportunity to work late and I feel just like she said, you love it because you can get your work done in peace but then there is the other side when you always look over your shoulder. Back to regular shift but what she said is do true. I so admire her. I hope her daughter does end up like her mother...a woman of action.
She has a very lovely youthful voice....
And why did I get teary-eyed when the daughter said she wants to be like her mother?!
How can 2 people dislike this information and cinematography filming about someones life and how they have to be feel safe during there work instead of getting anxiety about being getting harassed or raped.
Janey Bakarbessy I always wonder about the kind of people who dislike inoffensive and innocuous videos, too.
Honestly, hadn't thought about the night shift being an added element for women feeling unsafe. Looks like she is able to drive to work but man it would be scary taking public transit, which I've heard from women just in general.
Men are far more likely to be victims of violent crimes than women.
Im a night custodian for 7 years missing out on my children evernight. Working my butt off. But yet office staff makes my life miserable.
Love watching these segments. A snippet of a person's livelihood, we would otherwise underlook. Amazing and inspirational video!

Best part of Custodial work: There's NO humans around. Sometimes a few but overall 90% less of them to screw things up.

Gina Joseph :The kind of depraved perverts who know they can get away with it, because they know no one will believe these women, because they’re not considered to be hot and sexy! They’re claims will be dismissed just solely because they look like someone’s grandmother, or auntie. The kind who know they’re all alone at night, and therefore vulnerable.
Veronica cleans better than any of the cleaning staff in my building!! I have to clean mine own desk and surfaces, and they barely vacuum.
