I've been using GeoScatter since 2021. "Update? OK, no big deal for sure..." I watch the video and this blows me away! Not only is this by far (!) the best scattering tool (I believe I have used pretty much all of the first arrivals, and of course ye olde particles. I also got some of the better new developments). But GeoScatter, and especially the biome system & biome browser are practically impossible to beat. Also, the dev was smart enough to team up with other asset creators to everyone's benefit. That means, you can get pretty much all of the best asset collections out there pre-enabled for Geo-Scatter. I understand every dev's pride is their own scattering tool. Even if it sucks. But with GeoScatter, you're set, since it's specialized solely on scattering. Makes sense, right? Gonna test the heavy scene camera culling now... I have massive scattering appetite now!
great update!! I'm coming from 3dsmax with forestpack so I'm used to some features that were missing before such as the spline distribution so I'm super happy about this. one thing I really miss from FP though is the edge boundary option, which gives you perfect edges such as for grass perfectly finishing before a kerb. maybe this can be implemented somehow in a future update? cheers!
Hi Alex, thanks for your input! The perfect edge feature is indeed a good idea, unfortunately it's a trick that rely on the render engine, if you use 3dsmax with another renderer, the feature won't work. We will see if it is possible to implement such trick in blender cycles! Cheers D

Long awaited. So happy to see scattering on bezier splines now. It will be extremely useful for interesting shapes.
