  • In this vlog I break down my daily expenses as a budget traveller in Mumbai, India. I share the kind of prices you can expect to find around the city for accommodation, transportation and food. I also visit the thriving areas of Crawford Market and Chor Bazaar, after tasting some local Indian thali at Pancham Puriwala.

I absolutely LOVE India. I've been three times since 2000. I try to urge all my friends with an adventurous spirt to go and experience it for themselves. I am fortunate to be able to travel on a much higher budget. I just stayed at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai in a beautiful room with an awesome view...for around $125 US per night...including a 1st class buffet breakfast. India is amazing! Most five star hotels in Rajasthan have gone way up over the last ten years, but they are still quite affordable for most westerners. What are you waiting for? Start planning your trip today!

DUDE...I just stayed there when I was in Mumbai. Go to their website at taj.tajhotels.com/en-in/taj-mahal-palace-mumbai/
It's called the Taj Mahal Palace! It is owned and operated by Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris, which is part of the Tata Group. Tell a taxi driver in Mumbai that you want to go to the Taj hotel and you may end up at Taj Lands End, Taj Santacruz, Taj Wellington Mews, or the Vivanta by Taj...but, of course, you know better!

because this is something they don't get to see in their respective countries. Why would you go to Mumbai to see shopping malls and skyscrapers when you have plenty of these in your own cities back home as well. So, they visit slums to experience something unique.

It really depends on what kind of a travel experience you wanna have. Like for example, it depends on whether you wanna live in a average 3 star hotel or a posh 5 star hotel. Also, some people travel within India through trains and some prefer taking flights. Like this, there are many other factors which come into consideration. I'm gonna share a link which may help you a bit maybe: www.quora.com/How-much-money-do-I-need-to-travel-India-for-one-month
Also, good luck for your trip and enjoy! 😊

India is cool place, but watch out if your foreigner they will charge you more, don't know why you didn't look for more hotels there is lots of them good one, cheap also. next time take one of indian friend with you so you have extra money save plus no language issue, lol. also you can go around in taxi for cheap. train and bus will be too much crowded. anyway nice video buddy.

Thanks for the Video. Cutting chai is not more than Rs 8 on most of the streets in Mumbai. You may get it in Rs 6 some where.
