Say, I have a question... I see that the grass by the castle grounds is more muted and darker... but I think that applies for all colors in the game, the grass only pops up more than the rest. Is it due to the lack of quality of the old video recorders, or the TVs that were used to show the game?
Is his real footage? Ever since the personalized crap now I have no idea what’s actually real footage and music and assets and stuff. (Of course It’s obvious the creepy stuff is fake, but there are some videos that are fake but look real that are not creepy and stuff)
Heh, as a Portuguese, this is a nice surprise! I'm not from Brazil though, but from Portugal, but even still, this is an amazing find. I dug a little bit more around the Internet, and I found a video that had a more complete segment. I'm going to post the original citations, the square brackets hold what wasn't in this video (quite a bit), and at the end the recording cuts off to another unrelated recording, which I don't include. I have such a special place for this game in my heart! When I watch this or remember when I used to play this as a kid, something warm and comforting fluffs up inside me and simultaneously, something aches. I don’t fully understand why, but retro games had such a different feel, a different vibe! Is it nostalgia speaking, a difference in the visuals or sound design? I have no idea, however I just don’t create such strong binds with today’s games anymore. How I miss those days!
I like how "(beta sounds" is a subtitle for basically all of the video
Holy shit I forgot I did that lmao
(beta sounds)
Iceberg stuff aside, it is incredibly fascinating to see what such a definitive game was like during its development.

41:00 Listen carefully, Mario has a different jump voice.
I doubt that was even in game voice just someone in the background
Man seeing the actual footage for the beta makes me appreciate all those beta mods for being so damn accurate
Fascinating! One question though... They're all real, correct?
Yup
I wish they had kept some of the changed UI and graphical features of this version , It's superior in some ways to the final product.
man, I miss the 1990s
