Why is "you're a lot hotter than a goblin" not an option? Like, I'm not even joking, that's the only way I've really been able to justify it in character on a good playthrough. A chaotic good horndog bard that just thought it was a waste to kill such a hottie.

All of my actions are decided by my player, a being beyond this world who has a certain degree of knowledge about what will happen based on what they’ve learned from other players manipulating the same course of events in alternate timelines. My player knew from experience that you would become a recruitable companion if I spared you, so they compelled me to do so. As to *why* they wanted you as a companion, that’s not for me to answer. If I were to hazard a guess though, I’d say that your personality, voice, and overall physical appearance have a decent amount to do with it.”
The fact that Minthara would compare herself to dirty, literal shit eating goblins confounds me. She was obviously the only one worth sparing in the Goblin camp.
Honestly you should be able to recruit her in act one. It's not out of character for minthara to be super pissed she's being mind controlled and want to be free from such manipulations, or after being awakened by the "artifact" for her to be driven to find a way out of becoming a mindflayer. Like seriously after knocking her out they could have just shown one of those psychic connection moments all the follower characters have and have the artifact start glowing or whatever and bam we have a pissed off minthara in act one out for revenge and a cure.
the 1st one is my answer and it's quite simple, Gut and Ragzlin are goblins. The underdark and the Drow are needlessly cruel but they do have a system of sorts that can exist without raiding, Goblins don't. If Ragzlin and Gut were free from the absolute literally nothing about their personality other than which god they're killing under changes. Take the worshipper of Maglubiyet for example, not controlled by the absolute but he would definitely gut and eat a dwarf for fun.

With how much she talks about how her accomplishments and that shes the leader of a house, I'm surprised she compares her value to a goblin and a dimbulb. Though suspicion is certainly reasonable.
I romanced her in my last (good) run and was so happy to get this dialogue. Still no snu-snu scene unless you're evil, but at least I can ask her for a Lolthian kiss.
Several months ago, Minthara was in my party when we defeated Kethric, so I was a bit confused when she walked up to the throne and sat down by herself. I think I gave pretty much the same answers you did.
aside from meta game there is one route that this make sense (unless you playing a pacifist character that doesn't kill) if you let her into your mind even if you blocked her out unlike the other two maybe the TAV could feel something left of minthara before she got the parasite still in there

They should have ingested a special interaction with drow, after all there is that with Halsin when he asks us to kill her. A simple [DROW] Because you are a drow.
Interesting…in this dialogue she asked me why I went to moonrise towers in my durge playthrough. I accidentally also knocked out one other enemy besides her. I wonder if that triggers it since she says she was incapacitated while her minions were eradicated.
I mean we could ask her the same thing…during her trial, she could have tried to save our own skin and blamed us for her failure yet she kept silent about our involvement
It's because you killed innocents and sided with her. This happens when you protect the innocents and knock her out during combat instead of killing her outright.
on my first playthorugh i made it well into act two without "killing" anyone i had clicked none leathel thinking it was an attack shrugged and moved on so minthara the goblins gnolls deugar bullet etc all knocked outwhen i got to act 2 i was super confused why she wasnt dead after i "killed" her
But how would she know we intentionally knocked her out? Maybe she just survived our onslaught and there was nothing intentional about it. Also, could we possibly have tents for both Halsin and Minthara? She kicks him out and moves into what used to be his tent. And Thaniel stands next to her too 😂
So is this at the end of act 2, knock minthara out in act 1, and after patch 7? I've knocked her out before but she never showed up in act 2 or 3 for me.
In my game the goblins raided the grove and I defended it, knocking Minthara out as an enemy, so I really hope she will be at Moonrise since I'm not there yet... but a surefire way to get her as ally in good playthrough, is if you attack the goblins first, and knock Minthara out while she's Temporarily Hostile. But the grove war scene and fight is extremely epic, so I don't really mind sacrificing Minthara for it.
Did they fix the glitch of the game and other companions thinking your Tav/Durg ate tadpoles if you recruit her into your party with the new patch? I saved her in my current playthrough (started before patch 7 and it's my first playthrough), but I haven't played with her in my party because this glitch happens as soon as I add her to my party. The way I'm role playing, my Tav would never consume tadpoles because she does not trust the dream guardian. Even though I don't recruit her into my party, the companions still treat me as though I have eaten tadpoles. At least the Illithid powers menu doesn't show up on my screen the way it did I did recruit her (went back a save to do this). It's a bummer because she seems like a cool character, but I don't want to be forced into Illithid powers - especially when role-playing a character that full-heartedly distrusts anything to do with the dream guardian.
I don't think a companion has ever reacted to me as if I've taken illithid powers, instead they react to Minthara joining the party and talk about her. The reason the menu icon appears is because Minthara has multiple illithid powers from her time under the Absolute, but you can completely ignore her powers if you want to - that's what I do. Most annoying for a non-illithid power player is the fact that she has two illithid reactions, Tadpole Charm and Psionic Backlash. If you have her in combat, you'll get these pop-ups basically every time she is attacked. You can turn these off though - if you go to her character sheet menu and click the "Reactions" tab, you'll see the option to turn them off. I recommend it.
Such a strange question, why was she spared? I don't even know, pretty girl, maybe because you were superfluous in the goblin camp? My friend hates her at all, he can't eat straight, so as not to say what a crazy fucker she is. And I like her because the games are already full of super duper positive and mega kind characters. It's annoying. There are Morrigan, Jack, Citra, Harley Quinn, many others, but they do not seem to be negative characters, the latter generally plays love with Poison Ivy and wants to get into the justice League. As Vinke himself correctly said, Minthara is just a pragmatist. People, this is, after all, a kind of medieval, desiring power over others is the norm. It's stupid to pour into the ears of people of the 13th century conditionally about democracy, women's rights and an eight-hour working day. About the same rights and obligations. We are all shaped by the society in which we live. And where does our Drow come from? from a family of complete creatures who kill each other for fun.
This is a strange interaction. Two companions who aren't in the party having a conversation as NPCs. What happens if you have both Minthara and Jaheira in the party after you defeat Ketheric?

Wish one of the responses were "Because I think you're pretty."
Because only the living can change. The others were too far gone but you have a chance. Do not squander it.
Brennan as Asmodeus will always be peak.
They should have ingested a special interaction with drow, after all there is that with Halsin when he asks us to kill her. A simple
[DROW] Because you are a drow.
I played a romance between her and Astarion. It was a true love story ❤
... she makes a good point... what if we only knock out the other two?...
Is there an extra option for fellow drow?
thanks for the spoiler in the title
Interesting…in this dialogue she asked me why I went to moonrise towers in my durge playthrough. I accidentally also knocked out one other enemy besides her. I wonder if that triggers it since she says she was incapacitated while her minions were eradicated.
I mean we could ask her the same thing…during her trial, she could have tried to save our own skin and blamed us for her failure yet she kept silent about our involvement
In my playthough, Minthara asked why did I slay the grove and sided with her.
It's because you killed innocents and sided with her. This happens when you protect the innocents and knock her out during combat instead of killing her outright.
I swore the title said up not out
on my first playthorugh i made it well into act two without "killing" anyone i had clicked none leathel thinking it was an attack shrugged and moved on so minthara the goblins gnolls deugar bullet etc all knocked outwhen i got to act 2 i was super confused why she wasnt dead after i "killed" her
Tried saving her in 3 previous playthroughs (non-evil), but even when knocking her out.. she never showed up in Moonrise. Oh-well
But how would she know we intentionally knocked her out? Maybe she just survived our onslaught and there was nothing intentional about it. Also, could we possibly have tents for both Halsin and Minthara? She kicks him out and moves into what used to be his tent. And Thaniel stands next to her too 😂
So now you can recruit her even as you fight her? nice
I swear i got this interaction prior to act 7
Is there any Minthara end now?
is the get a long tent gone too? since this is now a real option
Minthara is a knockout.
patch 7 is out?? I thought it releases this week Friday o,0
It's not. This is old content in Act 2 and this video is clickbait.
ngl it would've been cool to have ragzlin or gut as companions
im a little sad bc we cant r minthara but i understan why we cant
Does her dialogue change if you do nonlethally KO the goblin leaders?
I imagine no, but now I'm curious.
The game treat as killed those you incapacitate without the "temporary hostile" condition, to my knowledge they don't get that
Wait since now it's actively included can you show the camp? What's it like having both her and Halsin? Or do they both still phase through eachother
So is this at the end of act 2, knock minthara out in act 1, and after patch 7? I've knocked her out before but she never showed up in act 2 or 3 for me.
I always feed this helmet to Gale
So on a good play through if I do this I can still recruit her?
In my game the goblins raided the grove and I defended it, knocking Minthara out as an enemy, so I really hope she will be at Moonrise since I'm not there yet... but a surefire way to get her as ally in good playthrough, is if you attack the goblins first, and knock Minthara out while she's Temporarily Hostile. But the grove war scene and fight is extremely epic, so I don't really mind sacrificing Minthara for it.
because you're hot minthara that's the reason, you see, the other two didnt make the cut
Is there a line variation of this where you knock out all the leaders of the goblin camp?
cause amore content is always good.
I didn't know this was an option! how do you get to this point?
In act 1 Steal something in front of Minthara and knock out her in battle. Then rescue her from Moonrise Towers prison. Then kill General Thorm.
@@Ferzen Nice thankyou!
🤏
lol, what does she say if you tell her she's too stubborn to die?
Is she wearing Dame Aylin's armor?
"Because you're hot"
So now that the game acknowledges this as something you can _do,_ can she stop sharing a spot with Halsin? Is that a thing yet?
Reason?
"You are breedable."
This is a strange interaction. Two companions who aren't in the party having a conversation as NPCs.
What happens if you have both Minthara and Jaheira in the party after you defeat Ketheric?
I had neither of them in my party
Is patch 7 out??????
This or next week, depending on how they meant "next week"
Wait, if she's not in your party, does she just randomly sit on the throne, or is this yet another way to recruiting her?
patch 7 is out???
No, I play closed beta
is the bug with Halsin fixed?
@@missNekolover91 the Ultimatum will not be in the Game 😌
@@finrodfelagund1052 not that but rescue Druid Halsin, we left the area without seeing if the druid Halsin could help us
