Hey bro, Thanks for all the things you are sharing about the TRX. I totally agree with you without the sway bar sharp turnings are not comfy and dangerous. I am gonna place the order now. 😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thank you again
Just remember the '22's, Ram intentionally took the mounting bolts of the rear ends. Need to drill the holes now. www.ram-trx.com/threads/22%E2%80%99s-don%E2%80%99t-have-swaybar-holes.8542/#post-178038
If there is a reason on what will keep my * "Me wanting to buy a TRX willing inside me" to trigger, is this guy. * Triggers me every single time i watch him talking honestly about his opinion on TRX and beyond.
I got mine in. I used a lock washer and blue loctite on upper bolts. I bought Flame red OEM paint and primed and painted before install. Looks great and feels way better.
Not sure if your Hellwig sway bar kit came with all the bolts or not but I just installed mine in my TRX and I didn't need to go get any bolts. It had everything in it for a complete hassle free install. 🤷♂️
Nice job as always! I had a Tundra and I installed the TRD rear sway bar. Looked good painted in red. Idea for your next vid.... And you put on side steps? Awesome! I think I missed that video.
I'll do the step video Monday. I wanted to get this out because people were asking about the install. Powder coating the sway bar and tow hooks would be a great idea! Thanks!
Hey Butter, I bought a Hellwig sway bar kit for my TRX but I can't install it. I can't install it because I don't know what I am doing, but the reason I can't install it is because my truck don't have the 2 vertical axle bolt holes with nuts on the left axle bracket. I have the 2 vertical holes with nuts on my right axle bracket but not on my left bracket. Have you ever heard of that?? I never saw another TRX that didn't have the bolt holes with nuts. I have pictures if you want to see. I also have pics of what looks like transport damage to that left rear shock.
This is a great idea and a necessary mod IMHO. Did it help at all with towing? I am going to be towing a Travel Trailer that is about 6,100 pounds dry. Also, one Idea is maybe use the Quick Disconnects from the RAM 2500 end links vs the ones in the kit, that way when you want to off-road just pull two pins, move the sway bar out of the way, and now you have the full suspension travel again. Thanks for the vids! I will be doing the Mopar steps next and really appreciate your videos.
Yeah quick pins could work. I wanted to try this out first since I was first to do so. As far as towing I towed a 4000 pound enclosed trailer and everything was steady. I got a easy and quick video for the Mopar steps. If you are cool with your salesman, they can add the code to get the button in your uconnect to be downloaded over the air saving you a $100.
Nice video! When you installed the mopar steps did you have to get the dealership to turn them on in the Uconnect system? Or are they just plug and play? Thanks
Butter! Great video! Just installed mine yesterday and fully agree! Completely changes the ride for the best! One question... It did not really take care of my lean... I still have about 1.25" lean. I installed the sway bar with about a 1/2 tank of gas. Made the sway bar level. Adjusted the end links. Tightened everything. Any thoughts?
What I did was adjust both links down a couple turns to dial out the lean. Some will cry that I'm doing pre load on the suspension but that already happening from the factor with the truck weighing hundreds of pounds more on the driver side
@@KMcBride151 my TRX don't have the 2 vertical holes on the left axle bracket. I have the 2 holes with nuts on the right side bracket, but not on my left. I also been looking at a few other TRXs online and they have the bolt holes. WTF, why would mine only have them on one side?
Help! I have 22 TRX ordered this kit and got the bolts needed and went to install but can’t… Ram must have changed the rear axle mine doesn’t have the holes to mount the sway bar to axel….
Go buy a Cobalt drill bit set and you will have to drill 3 holes. 1 hole on the Pass side is already there so use it as you're template. Easy peesy. Don't use the aluminum collars...not needed.
The TRX doesn't handle well so add the bar to help with it and to stop it from leaning. You only loose a couple inches of articulation but it can be easily be taken off in minutes if need to.
The bolts that are needed are m10x1.5x65. You will need 2 of them. You can get them from the dealer with part # 06104428AA
So is it normal for the driver side to slightly lean ?
Hey, I am 56 and have been into Mopar‘s since the 1990s. You are a true believer, as Stan Lee would say. Awesome channel.

Your welcome!
I got my bolts and now I am waiting for the sway bar. Can't wait to put this on.

It's a great truck that can only get better! I'd wait to order a '22 in the next month for some of the tech and color changes

Much much respect from Kuwait.

Perfect MODS! You are the man. Love the steps vs the butt ugly fixed factory ones.
Crazy how they weren't an option

@@ButterDaInsider now ur talking!!!
Have a 2022 TRX built 5/22 and the Dana 60 rear is not drilled to accept the mounts. 3 holes have to be drilled on the differential brackets.

Post on the TRX forum www.ram-trx.com/ or in the FB Group and I'll take a look at it
Thanks for the video bro. You’re right it does give you the oh shit feeling going around curves. Just ordered mine
I have the big wig bar on my f350 and its amazing. Will have to do this. Great video.
The only downsides I see now is the seats lack of bolster and the factory tires slipping at high corner speeds lol
@@ButterDaInsider I really wish they did sport bucket recaro seats like the Raptors. Really miss those seats.

The Hellwig site says the rear sway bar kit works for 2021-2022, but I have a 2023...

Plug and play. I'll have a video Monday about the install. I might go to the dealer and get it flashed next week

Mine as well. Maybe I wasn't on level ground? The back is level but the front is off an inch. 1 inch lower on drivers side.
What I did was adjust both links down a couple turns to dial out the lean. Some will cry that I'm doing pre load on the suspension but that already happening from the factor with the truck weighing hundreds of pounds more on the driver side
Did you guys have to drill any hole for where the sway bar connect to the axle brackets? Thanks!
@@timothygatten3753 no I didn't have to drill any holes.

Yeah they removed the holes. I believe they are going to offer a swaybar option in MY23. You can drill the holes and tap them as others have done.

You still keep it in the middle setting? Just put mine on, feels almost too tight on the middle setting, does it soften up a little overtime?
Why are you installing a stabilizer? If it is not intended there, and with a lot of work of the suspension it can be pulled out?
The TRX doesn't handle well so add the bar to help with it and to stop it from leaning. You only loose a couple inches of articulation but it can be easily be taken off in minutes if need to.
Thanks I really appreciate this goods videos..
Thanks! Trying to get better every vid!
how much was your truck leaning ?
my truck is leaning a lot
I won't measure mine because I will get sick
Almost 2 inches towards the driver side. It's in the video
Damnnn that is nice... no lean at all in that mug
It's awesome. Totally changes how the TRX feels
Mine still seems to lean an inch heavy towards the drivers front. But rear is level. Do I need to readjust?
You may have to adjust the rear links for the swaybar down to help level the front. I dialed my truck in and haven't had an issue yet
Is that a weird grey or black color sway bar.
Yeah the swaybar is a greyish color.
Did you measure the "lean" with a full tank?
Yes. I did the lean factory on a full tank in another video. Today I filled up and used a level and it was dead even!
Do you have a video for the auto steps?
I'll have it ready Monday!
Any effect on ride quality?
I have mine on the more firm setting so I get more road feel. It's not bad but I can feel bumps a little more.
Somebody listened to me. :)
Oh, you wanted to do a sway bar on the TRX?
@@ButterDaInsider No, absolutely not. I told you what the problem was (Variable).
I will use my truck for daily work not off-road at all so this will go to my TRX, Ill use my cheaper Raptor for off-road.
Where to buy such a stabilizer?
It's from Hellwig but there is some work you have to do to get it to work with the TRX like I show in this video
Haha....just sayin!
It's a great mod you can do without a jack... Just saying
