I just finished it. I agree with all the comments about how convoluted it is as well as shoehorning all the guest stars into it. Even aside from the guest stars, there were too many characters and factions. The Hand, Snakeroot, SHIELD. By the time I was on the final installment, I just wanted to be done with it. On the plus side, the artwork was decent.

Great video! I have these books and have read the story also. I have both 1st and 2nd print of 319, 1st print is a white cover. Thanks for the memories, great job!

Reminds me of Maximum Carnage for some reason. Such a terrible time at Marvel. Nice recap.

This Daredevil costume ROCKED😈. Pity it was ripped to shreds off-panel by someone who broke into Matt's apartment👎
And to all the heads saying '90s Marvel sucked - you wish. It was the last true golden-age of pre-Disney Marvel and y'all know it. Accept it💡

I agree with Vazz, Marvel in the 1990s was terrible. 1990 itself was pretty good, but sometime during the latter run of DeFalco as editor-in-chief in late 1991, the stories significantly dropped in quality as the comics themselves became too gimmicky.
First, you had all those garish covers that were either poly-bagged, glow in the dark, holofoil, 3-D, or gatefold.
Next, you had all the cheap deaths and some resurrections that were done to increase sales: Tony Stark (twice) once in late '92 and then again in '95 as part of that horrible The Crossing crossover, where he was replaced by a 19-year-old version of himself. Also Mr. Fantastic, Captain America, Cloak (as part of the horrible Maximum Carnage miniseries- where he comes back by the end of the series, making me wonder why he was killed off anyway). Ben Reily, Nick Fury, Joseph, Warlock, Frank Castle, Doc Ock, Doctor Doom, Eric Masterson, etc.-.--Mockingbird dies because Mephisto fires a fire spitball at her in WCA # 100 And, let's not forget Aunt May ---Aunt May!!! Really??? We need to kill off Aunt May??? --- Some of the heroes were immediately brought back; others in a year or two. But, the resurrections were awful! At least DC had large overarching story arcs where they explained why and how their characters were brought back. Marvel just had the dead characters reappear.
Then, we have all of the clones: Ben Reilly, Gwen Stacy, the Jackal, Joseph the Magneto clone, Nick Fury, the Man-Droid clones of Richard and Mary Parker. I'm a clone, you're a clone. We are all clones!
Also, we had those terrible costumes, Ben Reilly's suit, the Force Works suits like War Machine's and US Agent's suits--- Hercules's new appearance at the time when he shaved his beard and put on the H-block armor--ugggghhhh!
After that, we have the convoluted, twist and turn, soap opera stories --- case in point, Frank Castle. First, he gets his face carved-up twice. Then he is turned into a cheap copy of Luke Cage. Then, he is brainwashed to kill Nick Fury. He's also framed for murder, electrocuted, then he joins a mob and commits suicide -- only to be brought by God and be given mystical weapons from heaven. Poor Frank!
Cap, on the other hand, becomes a werewolf after having the super-soldier serum drained out of him. He is cured but, after he has the serum put back into him, he discovers that he dying, and the only way to slow the process down is..... (you guessed it) put on some RoboCop armor. --I'm not kidding!!!
And don't get me started on the X-Men titles.
