Great video Ive, people will definitely know if they want this or not after your video haha. Regulated DC? no. Pass through? no. Capacity over 85%? no. Acceptable solar charging? no.... Strong opinion here... But I think there's no planning on devices like this. Do they even know what people are looking for these days? Hard pass, put your money into something else.
Not for us at all. Near useless for compressor-coolers with the low capacity and no regulation. For someone looking for a bigger USB power bank? Maybe, it's certainly cheap. Is it safe?
@@Jasonoid Okay, sure 50 watt maximum input, but it would only take six hours to charge from "Flat". And as long as I'm not using the AC plug, I can put the solar panel on and use the 12v socket for my radio. I guess I'm never in a hurry.
Great honest review. If the price was right I could see me purchasing this as a gift for someone who loves to go camping and needs something to charge up a phone/laptop.
I recently bought the Grecell T300 and the newer upgraded 100w Grecell solar panel. I bought it to use for continuous powering of my camera and recharging other usb devices, also, for camping and emergency lights if I lose power at home. I bought LED 3w light bulbs for a few small lamps around the house so I can have lights during outages.. kept lights on continually for over an hour and it didn't touch the battery. So its a good starter unit for me. 😊
As a Ham Radio operator, I bought this one because its small, not to heavy, and has the FULL Syne wave inverter on the AC plug. My biggest complaint is no covers on the plugs, but I keep mine in a dry box, along with all the cords. I will be buying the Solar Panel for it, before the summer. So have I tested it. Yes, interestingly enough, when charging USB devices it will not look like its drawing any amps, but it is, just not enough to show on the display. When I hooked my 25 watt Ham Radio, it showed that even though it was on, and just listening, it used very little power, not even enough to show on the screen. But when I keyed up, yep, 25 watts. So is this a good unit, yes for the price I'd say it is. They do make bigger ones, so get what you need maybe.
Great video! I agree it’s a good starter for first timers. Good for keeping phones charged in power outages, and running a light. No pass through, not cool. Lol
That's a good price. While I personally don't have a use-case for it, I could see someone buying it to charge electronics on a camping trip, where a USB power bank is too small. The unregulated 12V makes this unsuitable for compressor-coolers, especially with such low capacity; the voltage will drop to the cooler's battery-protection cutoff in a very short time. As sort of a throwaway device, I can even stand it not being LiFePO4, although there's the safety issue. It's a step up from a USB power bank, but not much more.
Great review! My thought on this is that someone looking for something decent should just spend just a little more and get a Bluetta EB3A or something like it.
Whats good my dude. Im catching up on your content and it seems ive missed a lot. Great review as always. Now to answer your question about the use of this power station. I don't see a use for this one at the price point it is at right now. At the same price or a little more we could get something more useful for sure.
Ayyyee what's up man! I was just thinking about you maybe about a month ago. Hows it going man. You gotta text me an update or something. I hope all is well and we all in this together if it ain't.
Thanks Mr Ive - you kinda RUSHED thru the Grecell review - I have to replay (i can tell it was painful for you "a pro") 😊 I am still in the solar for "dummies" category - If it were the right price I would jump on it - just to dive in and get my solar feet wet - this whole world is awesome to me! I live in a Tiny house & want to explore solar - a beginner 4 sure!! 😀 thanks again & I am absolutely looking forward to seeing you reach 10,000 subscribers 👍 (brown thumbs up) peace to u & your adorable wife & family - thank u :-)
Do me a favor and add the word grecell to your comment above. So you can have a chance to win it. I had to change the instructions because no one remembered the old ones from the other Livestream. So add grecell using the edit option and then maybe you will get selected by the random comment picker.
Nice that it comes with all the cables. (Still a bit irritated at Bluetti and the EB3A “buy your own cords” move.🙄) Good price with the coupon but hard pass for me with its lack of features that you’ve taught me to look for.
Thinking about grabbing the T300 up off Amazon for phones and tabs, but you did say it supports passthrough for the USB side, right? Like say, charging with a panel while charging devices via USB.
How much is that dip. Don't know if it's a good way to go unless the price is RIGHT. But yes, it supports passthrough on the DC stuff. USB, 12v and I think the light too.
@@AskIveSolar Right now it has a $70 off coupon on it, but I'm still debating on the Jakery 300 which currently has $30 off. I hear the Jack is more reliable and built better, but neither have life po4 to my understanding. Thanks for the reply btw.
Check out the golabs i200 as I think it might be a better way to spend like 160. But keep in mind, the new EF River 2 was as cheap as like 179 when it launched and is the best small power station out outside of the eb3A. amzn.to/3fj8LFY And here is my video on the i200 if you havent seen it. ua-cam.com/video/Q8O1FF8Awzw/v-deo.html
The one is much cheaper than most of the ones that have all the options he listed. It was 158 bucks for me. Most 300W are double that price to start. As a backup phone charger during a power outage I think this serves the purpose in a big way.
For what it's worth I feel there's too many options out there for this one to be the choice you would make. I have an eb3a and I also have an Oukitel 301 both of which are better choices for the money and the options.
Yeah Im just here to make the videos so theres something on youtube yanno. People may see a flash sale or something and wonder about it. And those amazon listings dont always tell the whole story, shoot rarely!
They have a couple models so it doesn't seem like the company will go anywhere soon. But their bigger unit is a rebrand. You should contact support about a general question to see how fast they respond.
I regret buying it. I wish i would 1000w or better. I only paid 200.00. I got bad taste for brand - I was ao unimpressed with the 300. How is the T1000 says up 2000w. Have you done a review that model?
I would probably steer clear of the brand if you weren't crazy about it. What do you think of the bluetti ac180 at 799 or check out pecron or bougerv for a decent budget offering.

Thats a great suggestion for those grab and go folks who probably will only charge it when home and then just use it sparingly. Good thought!
