Y'know, if it didn't have the option to continue the campaign after ending, I think it'd be cooler if Boris gave up his life to restore Ursun. The God-Bear woke him from death, it seems fitting for him to give himself back to revive Ursun in turn.

that would suit warhammer universe, a bit less happy ending and a bit more "more sacrifice to keep the world going"
If there was ever a "canon" ending, I'd love it to be that. Boris walks the realms of Chaos to save Ursun and becomes one with him to restore him.

I also found it frustrating that only the Tsarina got an actual ending personalized ending scene with Ursun.
After all that conquest, it would have been epic to see Boris say something like “God-Bear Ursun, Father of Kislev and the Motherland… I have failed you…” then says “Take my life and save Kislev”.
Then Boris kneels and the blue lightning of Ursun leaves his body and it sparks Ursun back to life!
That would have been epic!

Like, the ending cinematics looks like the Mass effect 3 but with small differences here and there.

What you have to love is that no matter how events go; unless there is an epic fail the advisor always "wins" through a factions hard work and true sacrifice . Onlu Urzen gets last laugh from jerk who profits off his suffering. Ha

It frustrates me that in winning the Cathay campaign you don't save Ursun, and don't find your sister. To me it just kind of made the narrative feel pointless.
I mean. It makes sense that in the case of kislev, their faith revives the Godbear. Cathay did not move to save ursun out of a belief in him, but more to get answers. And without faith restored within its people, the God ursen remains dead, his knowledge dying with him.
@@Motleydoll123 Yeah but it also means that there is no tangible victory for their campaign, I get the reasoning behind it but surely the dragon emperor holds the power to revive a God, and we don't even get the sister as an unlock like belakor. Idk it just felt a little lackluster since Cathay is really well done apart from that.

@@loki_808 No... he doesn't hold the power to revive a god. The Dragon Emperor's just that... a dragon. A supremely old one with a penchant for magic. The only way to have resurrected a god would be a supreme, united belief. The writing of WH3's garbage...
I was hoping boris to become one with ursus
Maybe each campaign could have had a faction tied legendary benefit for completing campaign. For chaos, belakor is enslaved to them. For kislev boris ursus gains the power grand chosen of ursen, letting him assume the form of a great elemental bear or summon one a set number of times per day. Cathay gives you special epilogue quest to retrieve the lost dragon, and maybe a boon called harmonious purpose, which places increases the buffs from harmony or gives the ability to temporaryilly in battle set harmony regardless of positioning. For ogres...I don't know what they want. Maybe a powerful boon called gutful of godflesh?
So, somebody became the new Ursun? Or Ursun came back to life?
Back to life, anyone from the Kislev campaign will revive him because of their faith.

I hate to say this, but compared to Warhammer 2, the lack of variation is a downgrade.
Here's hoping them cutting cost here will make them focus more in other areas then. Like us getting more content updates for the older factions.
Skaven still needs Thanquol.
And Archaon sorely needs his faction update.
@@samtemdo8 I don't think getting lazy with 2d barely animated slideshows can be considered cutting costs. Time and money they save this way will hardly affect any actual content.
Just got to wait for the Dozen DLC's to be released. and the "Immortal Empire" (I hear they are calling it cause of Demons) game mode to be released.
Precisely. This ending is almost exactly the same as Kostaltyn's... And the other "different" ones aren't much better. either. It was also a downgrade compared to the starting cinematics, where we had much more story, variation and nuance. It is almost as the money ran out, when they were finishing them smh
So far I'm finding much of the game a marked downgrade from the previous title, so much so that I've reinstalled Warhammer II and stopped playing this one until it improves.

WH3 ending cutscenes are mediocre to the extreme.
I found the intros and flavour cutscenes for each soul pretty good, just the endings seem mediocre to me.
Very disappointing, how come boris is not even in the cinematic, lazy job CA.
