Video 2 of 2 today lots today! Lots to talk about :) Videos will be dropping every hour! Also I'm live over at twi as thegreatbookofgrudges there's a link in the description :) pop by an say hi!
You should make this but from changeling perspective because he is more passive than nakai.
I can only assume that there's a specific reason for this taking up only half the screen (and it's crooked). This is an absolute mess of unreadable icons stacked on each other.
I really wanna see if this is consistent you should run a couple more timelapses.
Can you run it 4x to turn 100 ? Would like to see if that old good dwarf tide is a thing of certainty. In that case, ahh, i will have to learn to play with Lustria lizzards, becase old world and beyond will be forbiden for me.
oh look lustria is completely safe and not owned by anyone! ... yes-yes
What is this warpstone smell?
@@thesheeepjd smell of victory!
I see ungrim taking the age of reckoning to heart
waging war on the high king tho
That is some umgak behaviour right there
That’s what we like to see baby
Damn boi, he thick!
@@cathulionetharn5139
Thorgrim allied Settra. That's a grudge! And Ungrim rightfully fought him!
@@Gelthon on one hand fair enough
On the other there is probably some ancient dwarven - nehekharan treaty and also grudges too.
But that said it's probably because they both hate orcs and settra likes powerful empires and thorgrim probably had that.
I love how the Elven Eastern Colonies are just chillin.
If i was teleported into this world, that the place where i would go, lol.
Unless you install a mod to add The corea and nipon, They Will not be touched
this is also the place I always take at the very beginning of the game..to easily build a global threat for others XD
now seeing that Balthazar is almost closer to the elven colony...shit on Grand Cathay! I will be the governor of the islands now!
I honestly forget those islands are even a thing. I think the only time I went there was the Jade-Blooded Vampires mod faction that starts there.
Karl ressurects Wissenland and Elspeth immediately starts enacting Total Tomb King Death.
I'm sitting here thinking "it's odd all those ruins in Lustria" for 300 turns before figuring it out
Yes-yes
Figuring what ? There literally nothing to see here !
Did Ungrim and Karl really team up against the High King? That is funny 😂
Nakai made no friends. No enemies. He made no moves. No one challenged him. He challenged no one.
A remarkable strategy.
He had a savings account of $1,500,000 in the end
The person recording the video was playing as them i believe because you can see the green, red, and blue crystals at the top center of the screen.
@@pl4sthat's the joke.
Seeing everything all at once really shows just how much that bottom right corner being currently empty affects the map.
As expected UNGRIM is the real winner of Thrones of Decay...
He is finally getting some quality father-son time ❤
The Order factions actually winning for the first time since like Mid WH2 is kinda nice to see. Gelt and Yao Ming being BFF's even as the AI is hilarious.
Ungrim be like "The Time of the Dwarf has come"
Also I really like Elven Eastern Colonies just bing chillin
They always chillin... I swear every game I take the time to travel to the Eastern Colonies, they have never been contacted by an outside faction. Its almost like they are Sentinel Island IRL.
Skrolk doing so well always surprises me
Epidemius dead by turn 20 is going to be a theme, methinks. That's a challenging start for the player let alone the intellectually challenged AI.
No surprise that Ungrim comes out on top now. Looking forward to a true slayer run with the Slayer King.
The only reason Kugath sometimes survives a while is because he starts in the islands.
looks like all the new lords died early
@@TheJohnmurphy516hellspit made it to the end
Never confederated with karl either
@@TheJohnmurphy516 elspeth was around. she went to the desert. Lets just say she had a bone to pick
No idea why Epidemius was put next to freakin Malus, Boris and Archaon. Tamurkhan is also between Archaon and Kholek, but as least he is a chonky boi.
Not saying it would have been 100% better, but there is a Nurgle minor faction in Lustria. I was hoping they'll put a Nurgle LL there. Id like to see more demons starting nowhere near the Chaos Wastes.
Zhao Ming took off with the Bromance😂 and Gelt is splintered all over.
Nice seeing the Dwarfs finally thrive (at least those with allies nearby)
I love how Khatep migrates to lustria and when he see that it turned into a worst place, he decides to migrate again but this time into Ulthuan... Just amaizing that he survived.
Ungrim sure looks happy to have those slayers he ordered about 8 years ago
Turn 204 : Teclis decided to move.
For those looking for the new guys:
Elspeth is obviously in Nuln, right next to Karl.
Epidemius is up where Daniel was, moving Daniel one house to the right.
Tamurkhan is over in Kdatha, look above Kolek and to the right of Archaon.
Malakai took a while for me because his faction flag is red and in a clustered area, but he's over where the Norscan Dwarfs are. So look to the right of Throgg, and below Boris.
Also just in case you've missed it, Mr. Gelt is over in cathay now, right next to the Iron Dragon.
Thx
Putting Malakai in the Kislev area is weird, as if hat wasn't clustered enough.
Thank you for that. Some heroes don't wear capes!
None of the new factions survived to turn 100 and most of them were wiped out within the first 50. Meanwhile, Karak Kadrin seems pretty happy with all the new Slayer stuff...
Archaon the Exalted Grand Marshal of the Apocalypse, the Thirsting Predator, the Three-Eyed King, the Thrice-Damned, the World Razor and the Everchosen when asked not to die before turn 50 to a russian and a freaky horse after doing NOTHING: 😢
CA has had a vendetta against Chaos since game 1 I think.....I could list a whole bunch of reasons that show that they view the faction as an annoying afterthought, or just don't understand them at all. Not to say they don't do some things VERY well with them. But its a mixed bag. Almost like half the team working them either doesnt understand the faction, or outright hates the faction. Which is sad, and really hurts the game, because Chaos was always popular, and for a long time was the second most played faction behind the Empire. Not exactly who you want to drop the ball with. And I think, whether it has dawned on people consciously or not, this is why the 3rd game has been widely not as popular as the first two games.
Here are some, but not all, of the examples.
1) Archaon was originally on a pony of chaos, as were all chaos knights
2) They had an excruciatingly boring presence in the first 2 games with probably the worst gameplay
3) Their generic lord and hero character models went from really good back in game one and two, to chibi in game 3 (I mean really, just look at the Khorne characters in WoC.
4) They get a really cool "Dark Fortress" mechanic, but don't get any in the southern part of the map.
5) They get ONE LL each at launch in the game that was supposed to finally give them their due. (CA still had not realized that these 4 and undivided are separate factions that are stand alone entities I guess?
6) Pestigors and Tzaangors are DOWNGRADES from Bestigors.....So much for only the most worthy being marked I guess.
7) For being a faction known for its variety and diverse looks, they have the least amount of variants of any faction with its characters. And the variants they DO have are so minute, you need a microscope to see them. Khorne suffers from this worse than any of them. Yes, they have the "Khornate" armor on many of them but they arent all supposed to look like they rolled off an assembly line. To be fair, its GW who started screwing up their designs like this first, but here was a chance to go back to basics and present them right as it HAD to be noticable in play that making them all clones ruined their vibe. And where are the random tentacles, and other mutations ALL Chaos Daemons and mortals are supposed to have? Go look at some older edition Khorne models. Some have the look of the ones in the game, yes. But some have horned helms and spikier armor. Some have no helm. Some have a helm with a single spike and no shirt. These arent a prim and proper army. They are nutcase savages from a warped wasteland. They are not going to look orderly with proper rank and file matching attire.
8) Marking your characters is supposed to be the highest achievement and greatest upgrade a chaos character can get, but here, you lose access to two of their best mounts (Manticores and Chaos dragons) which ARE an available option for all marked Lords and Heros (well, manticores for heros) on TT. Making marking them a DOWNGRADE instead as the benefits of marking them isnt worth losing two of the best and most useful chaos mounts. It really screws up immersion as well, for those who know the lore and know the process they go through to gain these beasts.
And theres more. But you get the idea. By themselves, they are probably not that big an issue.....Which is probably why most don't even KNOW what bothered them about game three, especially TT fans.....But when you add these things up.....
I'm hoping they hire ONLY true fans of the faction (preferably fans of 6th-7th editions) and rework them right! It really would be a worthwhile investment on their part. After all, look at how well received Champions of Chaos was. Because it fixed alot of things that would have ALSO still been on this list!
@@MidnightBlackandVictoria I like them :)
@@Just_Fez Me too. I just know it could be better, and I think they have some people on the team who love the faction, and some who just don't get it.
In fact its because I love chaos that these things are noticed. Don't get me wrong. CA has done some incredible things with them. But I know they could do better if they would just vet those working on it. And the reason I think its staff has to do with a conversation I had with a former staff member on Reditt.
One thing they should probably do, is consult some of these big channel's dedicated to WH, and LISTEN to them.
1 LL at launch was kind of ridiculous, when you know how many Lords and Heroes there are in the Lore they could have pulled from, and STILL had a ton for DLC. The darker and more expansive the villains, the more fun the forces of light will have confronting them as well, so this benefits everyone to do so imo.
@@MidnightBlackandVictoriamate what are you on about? They’re literally one of the strongest factions right now in the hands of the player and after CoC people always gospel about how they’ve become a blast to play….I could understand you don’t like them you do you but don’t write an essay an advice them to “recruit true fans” lmao
@@abdalrahmankhataan7231 Its not about how strong they are. Its about representation, and lore/immersion. And that "vibe" is important. For example, marked beastmen being weaker than bestigors goes against the whole concept of being chosen and branded by the dark gods.
If it was just about power, it wouldnt be an issue. But thats not it at all.
That play by the Changeling was awesome.
What play are you refering to?

Daymm, Elven colony at the end of the lustria survived to the end with Harkon, Skrolk and Kairos around them? That is a little miracle :D
I'm shocked to see Settra doing so well.
In my experience Tomb Kings mostly just sit around and play in the sand then roll over and die.
He is Settra
@@Jaann1919 He didn't serve before. Now he's serving up cans of whoopass.
@@TheDrexxus That's how they were in game 2. Idk what they changed but in game 3 Settra dominates the entire southlands more often than not.
@@alurkingislander This hasn't been my experience. I often get contacted by Settra at some point with him wanting to be my friend since we have no negative relations and he loves power, and everytime I glance down there he's only got 1 or 2 settlements.
@@TheDrexxus Huh weird
I love how in every one of these timelapse videos kairos always wrecks everyone in the south lol
Just as planned
I did a Boris Ursun game a while back and by the time I had kicked out all the Chaos in the North and helped stabilize the Empire, Setra and Kairos had split everything south of the Empire between themselves, almost perfectly along the east-west axis . Only Thorgrim was still hanging on by a thread in Karaz-a-Karak, and some of Ungrim's territory that he had taken after Ungrim got rolled by various orcs.
Epidemius immediately cooked by Malus, who could've guessed. Really hope they listen to player feedback and figure something else out for him. I just can't fathom why they insisted on cramming him in between Malus and Daniel and a few provinces away from Tamurkhan when there are so many more interesting and spacious areas available like Lustria or southeast Cathay.
Damn Changeling, calm down dude!
I love seeing all of those knights of the Lady in the north, colonizing New Bretonnia.
Things I did not think I'd see:
-Skarbrand immediately destroyed lol.
-Tamurkhan losing against Kholek
-kugath lasting as long as he did.
-Settra doing basically a clean sweep of the southlands around 250. Like, he is strong, but wow he rolled everyone way faster than I expected and so suddenly too lol.
Settra does not serve I guess.
Kugath was like a cockroach that couldn’t get killed
Skarbrand always ends up immediately destroyed in my games. If the Orcs don't get him Setra will.
nuln casually sailing over to lustria taking the volcano island lmao
She just was honoring morr by casually taking some of The Awakened settlements.
Malakai Makaisson dead by turn 28. Thats rough. His campaign will be hard af, im looking forward to it. Throgg, Throt, Azazel, Daniel, Archaon, Malus and Astragoth are your lovely neighbours.
he certainly seemed to actually be taking his Slayer oath seriously when picking that start position.
what is his faction banner?
@@noticemesenpie69 Its the orange one in eastern norsca, gianthome mountains, Kraka Drak, you can see it at the beginning of the timelapse.
And Tzarina Katarin in multiplayer pvp. Need that defeat trait for my Streltsi.
Ungrim showing the High King what a reckoning means. Was surprised by the comeback by Nuln in turn 360ish. Lizardmen got stomped in worlds both Old and New. Malus doing surprisingly well considering he is surrounded by the Ordertide.
Settra buff confirmed. A new age of Tomb Kings!
They are always like that IMO
Uh huh... this post was made by someone ether really bad at the tomb kings or never botheres to look down there.
@@brentonherbert7775 And how do you reach that conclusion?
@@TheDarko01 Because you've clearly not played many games cus the majority of mine he dominates.
@@brentonherbert7775 Okay? But I played almost 2,4k hours in wh3 alone with it being exclusive h2h campains. Tomb Kings re a rather weak faction, with Arkhan the Black being the strongest by far. Him being alone in B tier, with the rest in C tier and Settra as the weakest. I dont know wich little hidy hole you came out of, to show of your incompetence, but pls go back and dont embarrass yourselve further.
Great to see all the new factions pretty much just die right away!
Elspeth did make a comeback though. The rest was to be expected. Their starting locations arent easy
CA designed it that way so you can't confederate them, pay to play
Randomized faction potential, who knows how it will shake out in any given campaign
2 of them are Nurgle factions in the northern chaos wastes thunderdome. It is to be expected.
this cracked me up
Standard Lizardmen AI strats.
Start off strong, expand and gain strength, declare war on everyone, start getting stomped, don't confederate, get wiped in late game.
I hate how hard it is to confederate as lizardmen when you get factions who practically or literally do it for free
@@Unormalism
Exactly. The most united race in lore, untouched by chaos and isolationist, and they have no mechanic for cooperation or confederation with eachother.
coldblooded logic
@@GameAnGrog Meanwhile : Orks Orks Orks Orks Orks Orks Orks Orks OoooooOOOOOoorks !
Chaos : Meh, I dig it...
ungrm wth those 32 entity slayers is probably gonna be unbeatable xd
Thanks! These are always so useful.
Exiles of Nehek being given a free settlement down in lustria by Tzeench around turn 125. XD
I virtually never see Malus doing this well or lasting remotely this long-huge props to him for being a presence of any note here
Still rather sucked that somehow both Druchii factions didn't manage to meet up, by attacking the chaos settlements from both sides.
Lizardmen getting overrun by Skaven is not normally what I've noticed in Lustria. Sylvania starts off way too strong sometimes, I think. Also, it's nice to see the dwarves not getting immediately overrun by Skarsnik.
I feel Skrolk usually walks Lustria. Have had too many campaigns when the end game crisis is Skaven and I gotta hike it to Lustria to end a huge under empire.
@@ellitho for he its a toss between skrolk and rakarth teaming up to dominate, or yuan bo and markus
Holy sh_t! THEY NERFED GHORST TO OBLIVION, gone by 90 turn! Ghorst got Kugath to one single settlement and let him chill to only got evaporazed later
The order tide is very evident too
Has anyone ever seen Malekith take Ulthuan in one of these?
Interesting to see the major Old World Dwarf factions ending up dominating the middle together.
In all of my games, no. If anyone does it, it is Morathi. Malekith tends to conquer north until he meets up with Malus then just AFKs for the rest of the game from my experience.
In my campaign I play right now (Yuan Bo) Morathi and Malekith teamed up and completely wiped out the high elves in ulthuan.
Very nice to see, Last few games I played saw alot of order just die out really fast, Nice to alot of them taking over.
Also looked like Malaki up in Karaka Drak got smashed by Throgg by about turn 30... That is goign to be a rough start for him as an AI.
Shame the karaka Drake faction is gone now. I always loved that mod
Lizardmen have no staying power 😢. They definitely need a legacy update soon.
what do u mean they are pretty damn dominant for some time until things start going wacky.
Any time I look over in their area they taken over Lustria, and if I looked too closely they start attacking me with endless 20 stacks of dinos. They're doing just fine on their hometurf.
Grimgore painted the Dark lands Green
I like that there are quite a few less confederations than I expected.
Keeps things more interesting for longer.
The Bringer of the end times getting stomped out before turn 50 is always funny to me. That and seeing that even in an AI only game, the empire still gets bullied by every other race in the game 😂
OMG dwarf blob is back.
Yes, this is what I fear.
Finally! The age of the orcs is over, the age of the Dawi has begun!
Zhao is even more a beast now with is bro Gelt.
Damn, it seems like the ordertide is back in force !
Also, Elspeth doing almost nothing until the very end, where she just goes on a rampage on the poor tomb kings XD
I expected that Empire would do better, but at least it's not destroyed
How do you make these autorun campaigns? I want to try running some myself
*Everyone fighting for survival*
Nakai : 🧍🏻♂️
That's pretty interesting, usually the Empire is all vampires by turn 100 but with Karak Kadrin getting buffed Vlad doesn't get the chance.
Are we getting a chaos warrior/ daemon end game crisis with this patch? Been weird to not have one by now.
This is dope altho periodically showing like the top 10 in global power could be interesting
I hope this won't be another era of Ordertide
I mean by the end you can see old word=order and new world the opposite so it's okay, chaos has ruled for a long time. (also don't forget random AI buffs, that is just one game the next will not be the same)
Finally it's not so much of a chaos tide anymore. Order should be on top. Although I really think the Lizardman in Lustria should get an AI buff, I haven't actually encountered Lizardman in Lustria unless I'm starting there for a very long time now, it feels weird. It's their jungle after all. I kinda like it this way, chaos should be in the chaos wastes.
500 turns later and high elves never managed to confederate. Some things never change XD
I was like Wissenland wtf are you doing... Then recalled about the new character xd
So know one noticed the chaos dwarfs last all the way ? Maybe not the LLs we got but the missing 4th we never got 😭
That warpath Throgg burned all the way down to Athel Loren around turn 175 was impressive. And it was heartwarming to see Zhao Ming and Gelt working together to take out Ghorst and Kugath, though it took over 100 turns for them to take his 10 settlements.
Same problem as previous though, the AI still looks mostly passive. Miao Ying did nothing the whole game, and Karaz a Karak remained basically passive for almost 300 turns until they starting dying to . . . Ungrim??
I was hoping to see a few superpowers emerge and fight it out. But aside from the Tomb Kings taking over Africa, none of the factions came to dominate their starting continent. Oh and it took both Cathay factions + Gelt over 450 turns to finally destroy Yusak, that minor norscan faction north of the gates that Vilitch vassalizes on turn 1.
Throgg kicking so much ass was unexpected. Being next to a faction of nothing but slayers and ranged units when he’s a monster faction I thought he would kick the bucket instantly
I only saw 2 60+ settlements ai factions in like 400hrs of WH3 IE campaigns and one was Greenskins + their endgame scenario where azhag confederated Grimgor and made 65 settlement faction but ended up losing to AI order constant attacks I only had 3 armies helping the order fight azhag lol the other was DeathMaster Snitch coming from Cathay with 63 settlements and winning the game with capturing the black pyramid endgame goal. These 2 factions only happened in first few months of IE Beta on normal now even in very hard its hard to find massive AI factions above the 60 mark
I dream of the day i see lizardmen past turn 50 when I'm not playing as them
crazy. I knew dwarfs would dominate; slayers and new airship I'm sure is high in balance of power auto resolve. Tomb kings did well compared to normal. Dark elves always do great. I would love to see one of these were an evil faction dominates outside of them. Skaven seemed to handle lustria bowl well. Also really want to see the expanded map mod with this. hopefully these getting easier to make in some way as i cant ever explain why i like it so much but i do.
Dwarfs went hard on the Age of Reckoning.
I am amazed at how well balanced to lore Ulthuan is. No single dominating faction but any non elf faction gets a foothold and get beaten back consistently and the elves that make it off get beaten back to Ulthuan consistently. Just a shame that lizardmen get stomped on in their traditional turf and turned to ruins - wait that is pretty consistent to lore as well.
Looks like some balancing to the dwarfs and Settra are needed once again however, though I can't say I am surprised. They are a challenge to simultaneously balance and make fun without the addition of dogs of war/independent kingdoms to balance the area same as with the wood elfs in Tilea and Estalia problems.
The dwarves don't need balancing!
Khazukan Kazakit-ha!
The war between the Empire and the Dwarfs was super epic!
2 elf colonies, 1 dark elf colony just chillin from turn 0 to 500.
Naki just chilling in Cathay the whole time
Gelt made things change in Cathay...usually dragons get Wipe Out by Snicktch and DE Pirate
zoom in maybe? Why the map 1/4 of the video frame.
Noo the time of order has begun :/ I hope they give greater potential to chaos/destruction if you play as order and vice versa.
One would guess the Khorne and Slaneesh DLC will help push things back.
imagine living in the high elf colonies and just seeing the whole world divulge into chaos and your homeland nearly overrun while you sit on the tens of millions of dollars you collect this whole time.
I've played a lot of new campaigns in this game, and in none of them have Tomb Kings, Cathai, Vampires, or Green skins ever survived more than 30-40 turns. They still die within 40 turns. And in every campaign Vampire Coast take over the entire territory of the high elves... always
How do you do these videos?
clan pestilence is doing well!
It’s cool seeing dwarfs get a W for once
How is this done? Is there a mod for this?
Man I really wish that they'd actually give lizardmen a boost or something, they always seem to get shafted.
It is interesting to see that the Old World dwarfen factions (Ungrim, Belegar and Thorgrim) are performing really well, while Malakai and Grombrindal got smashed🤔
This looks like my last 10 playthroughs. Nurgle didn't come out well, and Empire took a while.
I suppose I didn't expect massive changes, but when you see the same stuff every time it does say something about balancing.
Nakai just chilling, no wars just living in Cathay is funny
It looks like Karl decided to forge a path to Cathay and figure out where Gelt went.
Balthazar Gelt being in Cathay made me laugh.
what im curious about is where tf is the changeling
>be the greatest champion of Khorne
>be an unstoppable war machine, absolute one man army
>die to a bunch of shitty skelly bois by turn 25
I wonder if they will open up the rest of the map sometime in the future.. the bit by The Jade sea and The Sea of Dread....
I lost count of the amount of times i said " What the fuck just happened there
Gotta love the island where nothing happened the entire game, went and took 1 or 2 settlements on mainland after 300 turn and kept losing and winning the same settlement over there while nobody attacked them.
I think it has been programmed that way for a while now. I don't think I've ever seen the eastern colonies be aggressive ever, and everyone else has too many problems to give a shit about them.
That ordertide. wow
One thing I suspected:
Gelt in Cathay cements the ordertide from that corner of the map. It's definitely a frequent occurence for the dragon siblings to defeat clan eshin and felheart, but sometimes the skaven manage to keep them on the backfoot long enough for felheart to get his black arks situated and he becomes incredibly difficult for the ai to dislodge.
It is a coin flip in my games between Cathay and Lokhir. Rarely Ive seen chaos push through. With Gelt though I see no chamce of eshin or lokhir surviving.
Damn, Ku'gath can't get any rest still. But worry not, I'll be there soon
I will finally be able to play as dwarves and not see my dwarven allies get wiped out by turn 50.
The ordertide is back baby
Nakai was sitting this one out I see.
Nakai just chilling
Gotta love me some Ungrim
The new DLC faction not surviving to turn 30?! That's going in the book.
finally order tide is back
i really didn't miss the ordertide
