Travel Bear - Milton Pride

I thought I had missed this at the beginning of June, but I didn't! The town where I grew up held its second annual Pride Parade. I decided to go check it out.
Where I grew up in Milton, Ontario; used to be a fairly rural farm town, and became a bedroom community of Toronto. It became the fastest growing area in Canada around 2000.
It also became considerably more diverse as time went on. See, Milton was pretty white save for the, what, 10 kids - maybe - who were BIPOC; and the few of use who were 2SLGBTQ+ people in my high school.
I shed a few tears of joy as I waited for the parade to start. Representation matters, diversity matters. Most importantly, the rain did not stop today from happening.

Should have come to the drag show held at the eighth note afterwards!!!! You'd have loved it I bet, was lots of fun!!!

This is miltons 2nd pride parade
Sadly I couldn't make it out to this event, tho I tried.
