Ya, love the old style. Especially love the look of oil-blackened metal. Something sexy about it. Seems to work as good as the day it was made, but it looks so much better. Thanks!
This is the beauty of old devices, you are still able to take it apart and put back together, all new stuff is made of plastic and glue, ones you take it apart you can just bin it.
Let's see... wine pump, check, wine bottle rinser, check, corker and corking machine, check check, grape crusher, check, seed planter check... So when are you planning to open your own vineyard? I suggest a label featuring Avril of course! :)
you are doing it right; no talk, no music, high quality video, very good editing, and you are restoring interesting and unusual parts, and last but not least: le chat. One of the best channels on youtube, congrats
This is the best restoration channel on UA-cam. I love everything about how you restore things with a rustic sensibility. Your taste in style is very much appreciated by this happy viewer. On top of all of that you have Avril who is the best thing since sliced bread. Cheers!
I completely agree. Some channels have more subscribers by doing reconstruction (not restoration) sometime with a lot of large workshop machines. IMHO, this channel is the best restoration channel on UA-cam. It respects the past of the objects (and I love the calm atmosphere and the presence of the cat)...
I have watched hundreds of restoration videos, but your channel has the best videos. Both of you demonstrate a wide range of skills and you are master craftsmen. After I discovered your channel I binged watched them all. Thank you for the I respect you show to old equipment by reusing as much of the original components as possible, Merci,. from the Florida USA to France
Great restoration. I used a similar corker when I used to make my own wine...worked great! I eventually bought a used floor standing model that was quicker.
A wonderful restoration, and is got the lick of approval from Avril ! You will find that wax polish will stop any further corrosion on your bare metal parts, especially after they have been sand blasted, I find when I clean parts on the wire brush, even though they look clean, they will rust later, but the sand blaster gets the oxide from deep in the corroded parts. Stay safe! Chris B.
That was a very nice restoration, the vintage style looked fabulous. It worked very nicely too - I always soak corks before corking, it's what I have read is the best way? I could be wrong.
how do you know where everything goes and what goes where ? all these old things? or what it’s missing?? i’m just amazed someone knows all that and can fix these beautiful reminders of history
Really nice restoration, you've got that skill and moreover you know what to do. Whoever is disliking your video I guess they're just jealous of your work..🤣
Unless that culture of 'use & throw' is gone forever from the mindsets of many humans, such restoration work can't be appreciated. Unfortunately that mindset has crept into their personal lives and hence so many breakups. Repair and restore. Respect will return and rescue.
Hi Everyone, hope you enjoyed the video ! If so, don't forget to subscribe :-)

Excellent job! You have done a nice set of vintners tools.
Beautiful. You're fast becoming one of my favorite subscriptions.

I had to wait until 7:27 to see Avril? I really like your work. It’s great. But I love Avril.
Same here !
i thought Avril would never show up.
Nice work guys.
I had a cat named Snapper that looked like Avril. He lived to be 18!
Doesn’t everyone love Avril? 💕💕
Wait until you hear her purr in French.....c'est magnifique!
I wish Avril was my assistant. My cat is kind of a dud. Keeps falling asleep and stuff, you know what I mean.

I really enjoy watching you restore things. It's calming and interesting watching how fix things.
Very nice. I'm not sure Avril had enough time for close-up inspection.
Avril thought you did a great job, and so do I!!!

The work is great - the cat is cute - and seeing the cork pop out the end was the icing on the cake!
I've seen many of your videos and all I can say is that you are an ANIMAL / CRAFTSMAN in your profession. Thanks for showing us quality restoration.

I was thinking the same thing!! LOL
I love the blackened look, very nice, not too shiny and better tahn new.

so nice! Didn't like much the black paint, but at the end it was quite ok! Salut!
