Hi Sir! I am new to your video channel and immediately liked your videos. Currently I am doing Psychiatry from Germany. Although I am liking it here, I never planned to settle here. I am thinking of coming back to India and start my own clinic. That is why i watched this video. Here is more awareness to the psychiatry but still the taboo and stigma is also here, more or less. I would like if you could make a video on how the addiction psychiarty is practised in India and what is the upcoming future of addiction psychiatry. How many psychiatrists are even doing PG in addiction psychiatry? A lot thanks again for spreading the awareness. I am also thinking of starting my youtube channel but the only issue is that I am practicing Psychiatry in German and English words are now difficult to remember..😄. Anyways. Keep up the good work!

I have seen your vedio on How to increse study hrs , that triggered me to think what I had done in my preparation time .. I am bigger critic of myself ( I have grown In a environment like that ( i am not good at studies upto 10th , so people criticize me and even my father would criticize me a lot ( even do now ) , so criticism became normal for me ) . I understood that this behavior is not good for myself ( how much I do , what I do ,, I expect something more and more from myself and end up criticizing myself ) even when I got this rank I am not happy ( eventhough this is not a good rank) What should I do to get rid of this attitude and become optimistic person ( any book suggestion sir ) How to have realistic expectations from myself I am interested in cutting from first year ,, but in internship medicine caught my interest ,, As of my rank I won't get med ( so I thought to take a blend of both subjects -- OBG ( the subject doesn't interest me ,, but procedures ( doing deliveries , c- section ) interest me .... is this a good decision ?? I am questioning myself , but my inner answer is good if you master the subject and able to treat patients ....

Marriage is really problem because psychiatry is not a complementary branch with other speciality. Now a days medicos prefer complimentary partners rather than traditional marriages.
I disagree with the money part. With other branches there are jobs and opportunities in private and govt set ups both but with psych there very handful jobs .. that too none in corporate hospitals or district hospitals. So whats the cushion we fall back on in case the private practice doesnt work ?
@@nik5129 A bit or a lot ? How much can we expect to make in initial 2 years from private practice ? I have an inclination towards it too but the phase of waiting for practice to take off scares the hell out of me.
You can apply for jobs in medical colleges and hospitals for mentally disabled patients. There are many. You can even opt to go abroad and the salary is handsome
Hey, nice comment, I am a psychiatrist and so far in my experience I haven’t experienced any gender related differences. Sometimes men may feel comfortable talking to men and women with women or viceversa. Not much of discrimination in my experience.
