    I've been carrying the 2075 D RAMI since I got it a few months ago, and it has completely ended my concealed carry weapon search! I've tried carrying several other guns over the past few years but could not come up with all of my preferred characteristics in one package. First of all, I prefer all metal guns, the RAMI is that. Then there's double/single action hammer fired, the RAMI has that. Then, I wanted a gun with decent firepower, decent capacity with excellent reliability and accuracy in a small concealable package with no manual safety (de-cocker only). CHECK, CHECK, CHECK, CHECK CHECK AND CHECK!!! The RAMI covered all bases! I have been able to concealed carry my RAMI wearing anything from loose jogging shorts to snug (not tight) fitting Levi's without anyone being the wiser that I am VERY WELL ARMED. This by far is my number 1 choice for a carry weapon! Thanks for your review! GREAT JOB!!!

    Oh, yeah, another thing. If your hands are large and you think you will only use this gun with the extended magazine and you like the alloy frame, consider the CZ PCR compact, which is like the regular compact, but with an ally frame, rather than steel. The barrel is a little longer, obviously, than that of the 2075, but, from what I read, some people are more concerned about concealing the grip than the barrel. For those people, the PCR might be a good alternative.

      I changed out the rubber grips for rosewood checkered ones, from grips4u, so they all match. Just a little difference between the grain & color of the wood. They kinda look like mini 1911s.

    Very good review AND carry advice, so I subscribed!
    I'm kinda old fashioned in that polymer framed, striker fired pistols don't really turn me on. I know they are great firearms, but I don't care for the spongy trigger, etc.
    Many years ago, I remember being excited to go shooting w/my brother-in-law, who had just bought a new .40 cal. Glock! After shooting it, sadly, I was very disappointed. He had bought it to replace his 9mm Colt Lightweight Commander.... I bought his Commander!
    Today, thirty+ years later, there's a Ruger LCR .327, and an LCP II living at our house to prove I'm not against polymer firearms.
    I'd wanted a CZ-75 ever since Col. Cooper praised it's design in Guns & Ammo back in the '80s & '90s. I owned a P-35 (Browning Hi Power) at the time, and it left me wanting a little even though it was a tack driver. Fondling CZ variants at gun shops kept me interested over the years.
    Anyway, after owning mine for some five years, I like this 2075 very much, and I'm glad to see positive reviews!
    I use the 10 rnd mag at the range, but always keep it loaded with the extended 14 rnd mag.
    Good job on the 2075 Rami review, and good shooting to you all!

    GREAT REVIEW! I have the same model and agree 1000% with everything you said. It is EVERYTHING I look for in a carry gun. It is DA/SA with de-cocker (no safety), it is compact with great capacity and firepower, it is extremely dependable and accurate and finally, it has all metal construction. I never have and never will put polymer over all metal construction when it comes to a gun. Of my 13 hand guns only 2 of them are not full metal construction and that's only because I'm a huge fan of the maker, BERETTA. With exception of an HK P2000SK coming in my near future (and that's only because it's features are so close to my RAMI), I'll leave all other polymer guns to the Glock fan boys.

I absolutely love them. Accurate beyond belief, especially with a barrel a little over 3 inches. All three are of the safety only flavors. I don't need a decocker.

    I also have large hands, plus I live in California, where we were limited to 10 rounds when I bought this gun. (This was recently overturned by an appeals court, but I haven't rushed out to buy a bunch of larger capacity magazine, because I'm sure there will be appeals.) I found a UA-cam video which led me to a pinkie extension modified from one made for another pistol and sold on eBay. It gives me a 2 3/4-finger purchase if I bunch up my fingers a bit. I practiced holding on that way until it became sufficiently comfortable. The price for this modified extension was quite reasonable. A simple search of eBay using "CZ 2075 grip extension" should bring it up. The front end of it sticks out about 1/8 inch beyond the front of the grip, but it's not difficult to get sued to that.

    The only difference between the decocker model and the safety model is that the decocker model lacks a safety. Thats it. The safety model can be carried with one in the chamber, half-cocked and trigger in double action mode. It can also be carried cocked and locked if you want. All i'm saying is why is the decocker model more popular than the safety model? If you want more options then wouldn't you want the safety model? What am i missing?

    • @rocketcitytactical5210
      @rocketcitytactical5210  3 роки тому

      Ultimately it comes down to comfort and preference. According to CZ, the models equipped with a decocking lever are, in most cases, the best choice for shooters wanting a handgun for defensive purposes. With the decocker models, you must remember to decock the hammer after chambering a round and before holstering, but when placed in a defensive situation, there is no safety lever that you have to remember to disengage; the primary safety element of the decocked handgun is the longer heavier pull of the double action trigger.

    • @chiwawa130
      @chiwawa130 3 роки тому +1

      @@rocketcitytactical5210 I understand and thank you for your reply. But you said you have more options with a decocker or that it's more versatile. It actually should just be called the model without a safety. Maybe it's too long to call it that, but that's actually what it is. A model without a safety. The safety model can be carried the way you want ( one in chamber with a double action trigger pull, and hammer half cocked.) AND has the safety as an option to carry cocked and locked if you want. You don't have to use the safety. The safety model has more options than the decocker. It also has a slight smoother trigger pull since it has less mechanical parts than the decocker model. I guess not having a safety on a EDC is popular.

    • @rocketcitytactical5210
      @rocketcitytactical5210  3 роки тому

      @@chiwawa130 I'm tracking now. I was not trying to make any comparison between the decocker and safety models. I was just saying that I felt the decocker, in general, gave a little more versatility with regards to carry options as opposed to other firearms without.

    Either cajun or cz custom recommend if you shoot your rami and carry it, you should swap out guide rod spring every couple hundred rounds. I love mine but ,I do switch out the recoil spring. You gotta think a 3 inch gun with a little recoil spring gets worn out. Better to be safe then sorry. At least you'll have spare recoil springs.

    • @chiwawa130
      @chiwawa130 3 роки тому

      Exactly. I just got the safety model. You can indeed carry it with a round in the chamber and half cocked. You do have to manually decock very carefully but it's not an issue, for me anyway. I'm guessing people just don't like the idea of manually decocking or they just don't like the idea of having a safety on a gun. The safety model may also have a slightly smoother trigger pull since the decocker model has 1 more mechanical part.
      I'm happy with the safety model. CZ is solid.

    Very good video! You're coherent and to the point . . . All in all, an outstanding video, albeit, I wish you would have had a 10 round clip, so I could see what it looked like on the gun and in your hand. Question - On a sub Reddit thread, this guy said this, "I had a RAMI that shot dramatically better than a glock 26. It was also the right size and weight. Unfortunately I sold it because mine was unreliable even after sending it back to CZ once, I even tried higher power springs after the fact. That being said I now own a full size cz 75 that is also unreliable so maybe I’m just unlucky with cz’s. It certainly wasn’t the springs since I didn’t try them till the end. Tbh i think it’s a quality control thing with CZ. For some reason I’ve only really seen issues with the safety version (which I had)." Any comments? I have this firearm on my "Wish List" at many gun stores and I am wondering if this is anecdotal or an actual issue(s)? Again, thank you . . .

      I have not had this experience with CZ personally. I own 6 different CZ firearms and they have all been tremendously reliable for me. It is unfortunate that you have had such issues, and unfortunately I cannot speak to safety version. As far as the comparison between the RAMI and the Glock 26 that is apples and oranges. The steel frame construction and added weight of the CZ RAMI are going to dramatically reduce the recoil resulting in a much smoother action and far less muzzle flip. Hopefully you will have much better luck with CZ in the future.
