+Snowy Pawesome Drawing eyes of equal size gets a lot easier if you draw a vertical line, using it for a horizontal flip of some points your eye consists of.
+Muhngkee 3 quarters has become my go to view when drawing any character or similar...it's a lot easier than side or front. But i practice those two, as well.
+Phantombae -w- i only just started drawing about a week ago and i dont even do this xD. Its probably because im using a 2h pencil then go over it in 2b so my initial sketching is fine and i can easily erase it. Also i draw very small so i can fit a lot on 1 page, but thats really not a good thing lol

Could you make a video about drawing the same character's face from more dramatic angles? Above and below and whatnot? It'd particularly help me if you used a more "realistic" manga style.
"Realistic" manga style?? That's called realism.. and that's when it starts to hinder on the border of just realistic art style to actually a manga-like style.
Haa😊 time flies so fast in 2017 I watched this video to learn to draw anime when I was interested in anime for the first time ever and here I'm today I have improved so much I still need to learn to draw more poses, perspective, backgrounds and so much I want to make my own webtoon. You are THE greatest artist that I know. MANY people look up to you, including me. Because of you I have decided to pursue a career in illustration. Not a day goes by that i am not watching/re-watching a video you made to pick up on some pointers, and the first thing i drew was your tutorial on how to draw people kissing (the first one) and it was the first drawing that I was satisfied with. I don't remember how I found Mark at first, but I remember that it was when his subscribers still were in the ten-thousands, I think. I've been subscribed for a few years, but I haven't watched so many of his videos in that time. I came across this by chance, and comparing it to the videos that I watched when I first subscribed, I noticed a huge difference in the quality and conveyance of all the little things. Since I'm interested in drawing, but haven't really mastered it, I think that I should once again become an avid watcher of these videos to help improve my skills. markcrilley, you're awesome, keep making your tutorials as I'm sure you're helping many to become better artists, as well as yourself. :3

I think a tutorial for drawing different clothing styles for the same character or just the full body of a character in multiple views would be very helpful.
I use a slightly different teaching method of the 3/4 view. I have the chin coming almost directly under the 3/4 line, rather then the point of the chin being more by the middle line that divides the circle in half vertically.

markcrilley this video helped with drawing characters from the same height level. But I was wondering how are you supposed to draw a character from almost like a birds eye view but a little bit to the side to where it shows the body and not just the head and shoulders? Hope that made sense.

I used to have no clue how to not make my characters not look like a weird alien thing when drawing them in a profile perspective. With this videos, I've managed to make them look consistently the same. This channel got me hooked to the Japanese drawing style, AND I can draw Anime and Manga as well, now. Thanks so much, Mark!
I'm no artist, I can't sit down and just whip things up like you have. But I must admit, I have the imagination for it just the lack of talent with a pencil and thanks to your videos I can now create pictures that people look at and say "wow, that's pretty good I never knew you could draw like this!" and it inspires me to put forth the effort to obtain these skills. Do you think it is a feasible thing to say somebody who isn't a natural artist can still obtain the sort of skill via dedication that you seem to flourish with?

Hi, Mark! I really liked this video, it was really helpfull and im really happy about brody's ghoust 5 ( i will save my lunch money to buy this book ^^ ) but... i have a suggestion. I know that you prefer to draw manga girls with blushies ;) (i dunno if i spelled it right, i dont speak english that much), or sometimes a real life or a disney character drawing,but.. can you for the next vid draw something really creepy? since i am a really big fan of creepypasta (like Ben Drowned, Laughing Jack, Eyeless Jack, Slenderman etc.) and i bet atleast 10% of your subscribers like creepypasta too, i would be really excited if you draw.... ...Jeff the Killer....... and not just standing and staring (altough it would be great too, atleast...) but in a kinda action pose (like charging to attack or someting..(actually, thats a good idea too - you can show us how to draw a character charging or in a action pose ;)..))... and i would love to see how you draw him in manga style, because i hate the realistic version, i like the cartoony and anime like drawings better.... but if you dont want to, thats ok, i will just try it myself even tough it is a lot harder to practice drawing skills without step by step... :/

You should do a video about how to make one eye look like the other... Because you can have a really good looking eye but if you don't get the other right, the whole thing messes up.
I love your drawings and lessons on your channel. Recently, I just got your book, "Mastering Manga" and I read the whole thing 3 times. Practicing the clothes, head, body, hair, eyes, etc... and I love your art! I'm trying to practice manga art so I can make my first, REAL manga book with actual good looking manga characters. Hi, Mark. ^^ I have an idea for your How To Draw videos, I don't know what you think about it but here goes. ^^; How about each time you teach us to draw certain parts of manga characters, you ask people in your previous video for people to send links to their own manga characters, use one in your How To Draw video and then only reveal the owner's name at the end? :P

You CAN! :) The best thing about Mark's tutorials and teaching is that he really does show you exactly what you need to do. The only other thing you need is time, effort and a determination to become better. That's pretty tough in itself, but totally worth it in the end. Don't get discouraged, improve! :D

MaximusMods Try practicing with slightly curved lines. That helped me. Circles are hard to draw, but if you absolutely need to draw a circle and find it difficult, just use a Compass.

I run an experimental multiplayer text-based fantasy/adventure/steampunk RPG game on Facebook, and every time somebody encounters something or someone, I draw it and post it. markcrilley this video helped with drawing characters from the same height level. But I was wondering how are you supposed to draw a character from almost like a birds eye view but a little bit to the side to where it shows the body and not just the head and shoulders? Hope that made sense.

I used to have no clue how to not make my characters not look like a weird alien thing when drawing them in a profile perspective. With this videos, I've managed to make them look consistently the same. This channel got me hooked to the Japanese drawing style, AND I can draw Anime and Manga as well, now. Thanks so much, Mark!
I'm no artist, I can't sit down and just whip things up like you have. But I must admit, I have the imagination for it just the lack of talent with a pencil and thanks to your videos I can now create pictures that people look at and say "wow, that's pretty good I never knew you could draw like this!" and it inspires me to put forth the effort to obtain these skills. Do you think it is a feasible thing to say somebody who isn't a natural artist can still obtain the sort of skill via dedication that you seem to flourish with?

Art is a form of expression, An with how you explain it makes it a lot easier to learn especially since I have ADHD an I can't sit there for hours an hours an watch someone go line by line by line...Lol. I really liked this video, it was really helpfull and im really happy about brody's ghoust 5 ( i will save my lunch money to buy this book ^^ )
but... i have a suggestion. I know that you prefer to draw manga girls with blushies ;) (i dunno if i spelled it right, i dont speak english that much), or sometimes a real life or a disney character drawing,but.. can you for the next vid draw something really creepy? since i am a really big fan of creepypasta (like Ben Drowned, Laughing Jack, Eyeless Jack, Slenderman etc.) and i bet atleast 10% of your subscribers like creepypasta too, i would be really excited if you draw.... ...Jeff the Killer....... and not just standing and staring (altough it would be great too, atleast...) but in a kinda action pose (like charging to attack or someting..(actually, thats a good idea too - you can show us how to draw a character charging or in a action pose ;)..))... and i would love to see how you draw him in manga style, because i hate the realistic version, i like the cartoony and anime like drawings better....
but if you dont want to, thats ok, i will just try it myself even tough it is a lot harder to practice drawing skills without step by step... :/

You should do a video about how to make one eye look like the other... Because you can have a really good looking eye but if you don't get the other right, the whole thing messes up.

I love your drawings and lessons on your channel. Recently, I just got your book, "Mastering Manga" and I read the whole thing 3 times. Practicing the clothes, head, body, hair, eyes, etc... and I love your art! I'm trying to practice manga art so I can make my first, REAL manga book with actual good looking manga characters. When i'm older I hope I could ask someone to publish my book. I'm getting better at all this :D

Hi, Mark. ^^ I have an idea for your How To Draw videos, I don't know what you think about it but here goes. ^^;
How about each time you teach us to draw certain parts of manga characters, you ask people in your previous video for people to send links to their own manga characters, use one in your How To Draw video and then only reveal the owner's name at the end? :P
I love that he's not absolutely perfect but everybody still praises Mark for his outstanding work. Makes me happy to know every eye doesn't have to look the exact same every time. Thanks, Mark, for ending my unnecessary perfectionism.

The best thing about Mark's tutorials and teaching is that he really does show you exactly what you need to do. The only other thing you need is time, effort and a determination to become better. That's pretty tough in itself, but totally worth it in the end. Don't get discouraged, improve! :D

Try practicing with slightly curved lines. That helped me. Circles are hard to draw, but if you absolutely need to draw a circle and find it difficult, just use a Compass.
