Searching for land | MY THIRD MONTH SOLO IN MY DREAM HOUSE In this episode I reflect on the month of May, my third month in Barbados after moving into my dream house. As April was the month of Frustration then May was the month of Happiness. Watch my video to learn why visits from friends new and old had such an impact.

I spend my life between U.K. 🇬🇧and Barbados 🇧🇧 as a solo traveller as part of my seasonal retirement. Barbados is the most beautiful gem 💎of an island and perfect for everyone… retirees relocators, nomads, expats…..A perfect place to mix with those living there , locals, tourists and expats alike …..to get to learn about, appreciate and experience the culture and communities of this beautiful island.

I was in Barbados as a solo traveller in April. I had no fears and blended right in, except for the englsih accent. If o could I’d move over there but have no family or links there.

When I returned I told everyone I’d found my Caribbean home. I know there’s the stereotype of the country being “little England” but if that means the infrastructure is good and I feel safe then bring it on. A friend shared your videos with me and if I could St James would be parish of choice. Amazing to “know” after a 10 day trip. My only concern is healthcare for non resident and workwise. Perhaps a holiday home investment is where it starts. Your videos have been an encouragement!
I know you had a video about all the groups that take place on the island. Have you met many 40- something black brits who have relocated?
Yes, I would visit solo for a scouting trip. I am retired and I am looking for safe place to live part time for now.
