Hi Jae, I have finally taken the plunge and bought my air ticket along with my accommodation to stay in Barbados for the first 3 months of next year. 🎉🎉🎉 it's been a long time coming. I will be travelling, as a solo traveller, from the UK in the west part of the island. I'm looking to meet people and make some friends along my journey 😊.
One of the best things to do after you decide where to stay is book an island tour. You can spend a day going around the entire islands. I did this a few times and eventually settled on the Southcoast. Already purchased land and I can’t wait to start building. Love watching your videos, they are extremely helpful!
I appreciate your sharing of this information. Having lived and stayed on both the west and south coasts your suggestion for visitors to split their time on different parts of the ideal is very smart. Every coast on the island offers its own character, beauty, amenities and types of accommodations. I plan on doing this when I return in the winter. Thank you 🙏 and keep sharing the great videos. 💯💯
Really helpful information. I plan to come for 6 weeks next year and will follow your recommendation to split my stay into separate parts of the island 👍🏽
Thank you so much for making these videos. I love how you present the information, the options, and the suggestions. Everything you share is so helpful. I really want to rent with a local family. Is there a local forum where I can find local families advertising? Lastly, have you considered offering an informational tour of the island?
Hi Christine, thank you so much for taking the time to message me. I really appreciate your support. I know one of my subscribers just rented with a local family. I shall get more details and share with you. She really enjoyed the experience. Yes people are asking for informational tours so once I get settled I will see what the take up is. I will keep everyone posted. ☀️🏝️💕
Jae, i love your videos. I am neither female nor Black, but I'm smitten with Barbados because of your videos. Can you recommend videos explaining using the buses in Bridgetown etc.? And could you explain what is your standard for "expensive"in Barbados? Thanks....
Hi @dovy I will keep a look out and get back to you with other channels that might help. I will return soon and will be able to give you information directly from Barbados. Can’t wait!🏝️
Real estate agents drop you right after you sign the lease they basically have no obligation to you and force you to deal with thd landlord. Landlords then scam you out of your deposits and last months rent. This is extremely common practice over here. Stick to month to month rentals ( airbnb and vrbo style bookings).
I'm thinking of moving for at least six months. I don't want to use Airbnb, as it costs an arm and a leg, and the fees are excessive. Airbnb seems more of a short-term option for a month or so. Do you know of any good estate agencies out there? Thanks.
@@kelvinBarjebo it depends on your passport in terms of which country you are resident/citizen of. For me I am British with a U.K. passport which means I can stay up to 6 months on a tourist visa… this is the same if you are from USA Canada…, BUT some countries it’s only 3 months, others could be less. Check out my video ways to move to Barbados and look at the description details as there is a link where you can check if your country has an agreement where you can stay in Barbados on a tourist visa and for how long. That’s your starting point. Hope that helps.
@sussannwachukwuofficial3790 Hi Sussann, there are definitely students here from abroad and the Caribbean islands studying. You would have to follow that up yourself. Regarding work, you would need a work permit. Jobs are kept for local people so it’s not possible to get a job unless it’s a job that local people do not have skills set for.
Hi ma ,l just like Barbados cause of your video so informative, thanks very much.pls ma I will like you to help me on how to come to Barbados thanks ma
Hey fam, ❤let me know below which part of the island you would like to stay and why?🏝️South? 🏝️West? 🏝️East? 🏝️North?
