I am really impressed by the new singer, really! This sounds really good! Sure i miss Lacey, she will remain in our hearts. But this is an excellent choice! I love her loud singing, this lady has some voicepower! Keep going Flyleaf
If you are truly fans of Flyleaf you would be happy that they have decided to continue on and find a new singer. Several bands have done so successfully in the past. Kristen is not trying to replace Lacey. Kristen is the type to know and respect the fans love for Lacey. Kristen is going to find her own groove with Flyleaf while still being true to the fans. Kristen is an amazing vocalist and can hit notes with ease. The way she hits the high notes in this song gave me chills!
Kirsten isn't a bad singer, but she seems more like a pop type of person over hard rock. It's not entirely bad that the band trys to do something new, but everyone will miss old Flyleaf.
I have had the opportunity to meet Kristen and she is someone who genuinely reaches out to connect with her fans. She has a genuine passion and is an amazing song writer. This was her first performance with Flyleaf and as a fan of both Flyleaf and Vedera for many years, I think that she did an amazing job! She takes her music seriously and has an extremely high level of commitment to taking care of her voice and finding her sound. She will give Flyleaf and the fans everything she's got.
Just gonna point out to some people that Flyleaf aren't dead. They are "Fully Alive" and are going strong by the looks of things. I think Kristen has a brilliant voice and I love that she is adding her own twist to the band and not trying to be Lacey. Kristen isn't a carbon copy of Lacey so people need to stop expecting her to be. I love Lacey aswell , don't get me wrong, her voice and story are truly inspiring and I do miss her. But Flyleaf aren't gone. Lacey wasn't Flyleaf. She wasn't the only member. Give the guys some credit. And if you don't appreciate their new sound, the old records still exist so just stick to them.
I think Kirsten will do well on future flyleaf albums but when it comes to songs that lacey sang she doesn't have much of a chance in matching up, their voices are just to different

Flyleaf have no more that sound without Lacy. She was screaming in singing and was very emotional. Maybe she wasn't so good in live performance, but she was unique. This chick is just a plain singing girl like any from musical school.

WOW. I have been listening to Flyleaf since 8th grade and i am a senior in highschool now. When i heard that Lacey was done with flyleaf, i was a bit crushed by the thought. But I am proud to see that they are still an amazing band. I wish you so much luck Kristen. Though i will never forget Lacey and her legacy, Kristen is still a blessing to the band and you're if not a perfect replacement, you are more than enough. I am SO glad to say that i am a fan of Flyleaf!

Taking care of a baby takes a shit ton of work. Lacey did what she had to do and wanted to be active in her son's life instead of pawning him off on a nanny all the time. I respect that more than anything.

Its like watching a cover band with the new singer. No one ever admits it but we all know any band member can be replaced but the singer. You never really notice a new drummer, or new guitarist but a new singer makes it a new band.

I just recently bought my flyleaf concert tix for march and had nooooo idea Lacey quit, ohhhh my :( so I'm like thinking I gotta return my tickets this really sucks but I also got curious as to how this Kristen May girl sounds so I'm checking this out and it's actually pretty amazing. I will give it a shot and go to this concert at the end of the day it's about worshipping God and good music. So people lets be open minded and give this Kristen girl a shot.

I'm sure she's under immense pressure to fill in the legacy that Lacey has left behind, but there is simply no comparison. Lacey had passion, power and love vibrating through her voice. She sang every song from the very depth of her soul, with every inch of her heart. There is no way I could look and listen to Flyleaf the same way without Lacey, but that doesn't mean I won't give this new girl a chance and listen to her voice. However, Flyleaf just won't be Flyleaf without Lacey.
I think Kristen will grow into Flyleaf. She is probably singing so precisely because the audience knows this song with Lacey's voice and she doesn't want to ruin the experience for anyone. Also, because the song was written for Lacey to sing, how much feeling and understanding can Kristen have of the story behind it? Once the band starts bonding and writing music for Kristen I feel that she will show her passion in song more. I'm willing to give her a chance and wait to see.
i dont think anyone can top Lacey purely because she was what made the flyleaf that i love, however they have got the 2nd best singer that they could have especially in the circumstances, and i will carry on loving this band with Kristen as lead - wishing lacey the best for her future, as well as the band

I'm sure she's under immense pressure to fill in the legacy that Lacey has left behind, but there is simply no comparison. Lacey had passion, power and love vibrating through her voice. She sang every song from the very depth of her soul, with every inch of her heart.
There is no way I could look and listen to Flyleaf the same way without Lacey, but that doesn't mean I won't give this new girl a chance and listen to her voice. However, Flyleaf just won't be Flyleaf without Lacey.
I think Kristen will grow into Flyleaf. She is probably singing so precisely because the audience knows this song with Lacey's voice and she doesn't want to ruin the experience for anyone. Also, because the song was written for Lacey to sing, how much feeling and understanding can Kristen have of the story behind it? Once the band starts bonding and writing music for Kristen I feel that she will show her passion in song more. I'm willing to give her a chance and wait to see.
i dont think anyone can top Lacey purely because she was what made the flyleaf that i love, however they have got the 2nd best singer that they could have especially in the circumstances, and i will carry on loving this band with Kristen as lead - wishing lacey the best for her future, as well as the band

I like this, and like it a lot, its awesome, but its not Flyleaf anymore without Lacey's unique voice. I will still listen, support and buy cause like I said it's awesome music! Keep up the great work guys!
