Hey JD, I hope that you're having a great day! I love this Redwood 4150RD fifth wheel it's amazing! It's longer than what I thought and I do agree with you that you need a modern dually or a modern flat bed dually to tow this mammoth fifth wheel! The full body paint is amazing. The inside of this Redwood is breathtaking with what they have done on the inside of it. The rear den or living room is amazing with the double tri-fold sofas and the theater seats. I agree that they should have put something to make it where if you had kids or guests sleeping the lights from the kitchen wouldn't bother them if they were still asleep when you get up to make coffee and breakfast. I like the setup of the kitchen with the big stove an oven, plus you get a massive refrigerator. I think the done a outstanding job in the bathroom with that super nice shower an you have the space to get dressed in the bathroom. The master bedroom blew me away with the hidden storage plus you could sit down on the bench where the hidden storage is to put your shoes on. I thought the door inside where the stackable washer and dryer was just space enough for them, I didn't realize that was a walk-in closet too! They knocked this Redwood out of the park JD! Thank you for showing us and giving us all the information on it. Your number one fan an friend Leonard from North Carolina.
Wow! This is vrey nice. The full body paint look so nice. Love the floor plan. The colors look so great. The living room is great. The windows are great. The sofas are great. The kitchen is nice. Love all of that storge. The bath is great! Love all the room. Love this. Just wish I can afford it. Thank you.
Nice unit and nice price. The one drawback I can see is the fact that while it can sleep 6 there is only one bathroom and have to go through Master Bedroom to access.
I can see you and your wife relaxing sleeping in the bedroom and your daughter is like "excuse me can I use the bathroom". This is crazy layout unless you are a couple only...
Very nice rig. A few things would need to change if I were getting one. But either way very nice rig. Thanks for bringing it to us. God bless, and y'all stay safe on your travels.
You forgot to show the drop down spice racks/or, silverware holders underneath the kitchen cabinets on both sides of the stove/oven. Also, the pull out shelves in the bottom cabinets to the lower right of the stove. By the way, is the dishwasher standard on this unit? We live in Washington State and, ordered this exact unit except with the Crimson Wine exterior. We ordered it around the first of March and, were told we would have it by the end of May! Well unfortunately, that end of May delivery date, became almost the end of July! As, we just came back from a 4,500 mile R/T from Yelm, WA to Grand Rapids, Michigan to pick up our Redwood 4150RD. We decided to drive there to pick it up as, it saved us somewhere around $8,000 in freight! Let's say $6,500 as, I spent about $1400 in diesel for my Dodge Ram 2500.
Very nice unit! It’s rare to see the single set of stairs in this floor plan, which I appreciate. My only minor concern is the Samsung refrigerator. They make great TVs but I’ve had issues with the Samsung appliances.
Walking through the bedroom to the bathroom would take a certain level of commitment to who you let on the right (family, friends, etc). It looks great and really like the eating/living room areas.
Trying to send real feed back. Love your channel and respect your knowledge keep up the good work Check out Northwood Outdoors RV my favorite but I’m biased
Beautiful kitchen, love the colour. I like that manufacturers are putting in dishwashers. Don’t like the placement of the bathroom. If you have guests staying overnight they have to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom.
Very nice setup! Love everything except for no 1/2 bath. For an RV of this size and price you would expect more than one bath or at least a centered bath so you don’t have to transition the master to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The unreasonably small cabinet space in the kitchen seem like an after thought.
I like where the bathroom is, but I do think they should have a half bath somewhere else so the people can use it at night when people are asleep in the bed.
I vehemently disagree with your comment @7:52. I upgraded every drawer and cabinet in my house with soft close hinges and slides and it cost under $300. That's paying non-bulk pricing for more cabinets and drawers than any RV. At this price point, it is egregiously stingy to not include soft close, and we need to be calling out the manufacturers that do not include this feature in 2024 for their cost-cutting greed.
Beautiful RV! Love the storage and the bedroom, bathroom, closet and laundry area. I do have a request, I understand that you cannot spend a lot of time filming; but could you please slow down the movement of your camera? The fast movements, going back and forth affect my vision and sometimes make me feel dizzy and I have to close my eyes. I do love the knowledge you have and that you share with us. Thank you!
It’s a nice looking RV with a lot of upgrades. I do question why they didn’t find somewhere for a pantry as you’ll likely fill most of your kitchen cabinets with pantry items, especially if you’re full-time. I really wish manufacturers would stop placing vents in the floor! A few manufacturers put vents elsewhere, so it can be done, even if it’s a little less efficient. If you have a family or friends you take with you, having only the main bath kinda sucks as it’s awkward for everyone if someone is sleeping in the master. Otherwise, I like everything about it, especially the patio which is rare in 5th wheel non-toy haulers. The sale price of $140k is obviously ridiculous for any 5th wheel, in my opinion, but it seems like a pretty fair price in comparison to other somewhat luxury brands. During COVID the sale price probably would have been at or near the $200k area.
You can build an old square body truck to handle it, but you won’t have ABS or some of the other creature comforts. I would realistically think modern dually trucks would mean pretty much anything from now going back 10-12 years. It seems like it was in the mid to late 2000’s that manufacturers started increasing payload and towing capabilities of these trucks. I personally feel it started in the timeframe of when everyone started one upping each other with their diesel engines and drivetrains.
Gorgeous rig. Definitely a snow bird or destination unit. Beautiful bathroom. Would you say that a F350 or GM 3500 would be too small? With that weight wouldn’t you need a F450 or GM medium duty truck to pull it?
A 1 ton dually would pull it just fine but stepping up to a F450/550 Ram 4500/5500 or Chevy/GMC would give you a bit more so you’re not hovering around the max payload of a 1 ton. A first time tower would probably feel more comfortable in one of the HD variants than a 1 ton.
I'd be concerned about moisture and humidity in the front with the W/D and shower up there, especially in that walking closet. We're there any windows in the bathroom or just the fan?
Love it. Disagree with the idea of a divider. That would trash it up. If it’s needed you can put up one of those pressure rods and hand a temporary partition. But I wouldn’t want anything that was permanent.
My complaint with a lot of his videos. I say it over and over. I've come to the conclusion he has ADHD. I just can't watch more than 2 min. He has great content but way too fast. Showed this huge rig in just over 10 min. SLOW DOWN PLEASE.
Overall I like this however the dishwasher is in a awkward spot. You have to stand to the side to rinse the dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. It would be better to have it off to the side.
Soft close hinges will run you about $30 for 24 hinges, not vastly more expensive, and given the amount these companies use, they could probably get thmw for under $1 each. Drawer slides on the other hand, yeah, that's a huge difference even with cheap ones.
The ones used in RVs are about $.89 each compared to around $.10 each for standard hinges is what I'm told. They order 10,000 hinges at a time or more per production plant which will do between 300-350 RVs.
Beautiful with a lot of nice options but just too dang big for only having a single bedroom & bathroom. Even worse that the bathroom is on the other side of the master bedroom from the hall. Into the next!
They should have swapped bedroom and bathroom placement. Id rather not have people walking through my bedroom to go to the bathroom. Otherwise I love the trim work and different textured looks.
Umm, the financing "deal" ain't it. You'll be paying around $230k overall for a trailer that apparently is going for $140k. With said, it's a magnificent unit, super roomy, nice decor, good sized bathroom, basically has everything you'd want. It would've been nice to have real-deal tile in the shower, and the door hitting the arch in the ceiling needs a rethink, but overall it's really nice. Not $230k nice though.
You talk about dividers for the pullout sleeper sofas but then the only bathroom is past the master bedroom. May as well make those all deluxe recliners because there won't be anyone sleeping there if I owned this. Not to fond of this layout.
If you are paying for this type of 5th wheel why put the bathroom in the front instead of in the middle or even a half bath. Also why don't RV manufacturers include Snap pads on the leveling Jack's on this price point?
There's nothing really unique about this plan. For that kind of money, there are other plans out there that actually have a 2nd bedroom and bath. And the curtain dividers up front in the LR? Nobody needs that kind of "privacy" if they're sleeping in this area. Jayco's high end units offer better value for less money.
It’s beautiful until you see that boat weaved slide floors material! Why not follow the industry and extend the same vinyl flooring instead of that cheap looking rough on your feet material they used? It baffles me.
Love your divider idea! You have wonderful insight! The backsplash is stunning! Thanks for the tour!
Very nice! IMO, the bathroom should be centered, so anyone can use it, not just the master bedroom dwellers. Thank you for the tour. ✌️☺️
I agree on the bathroom.
Agree 💯!
Any floorplan that has a front bathroom needs a half bath between the kitchen and the bedroom for guest use
Beautiful unit!!

Exellent unit. Great review. Thanks JD

Super nice rig! Hope you're staying healthy and happy 😊
Really beautiful rv🥰
Love the walkin closet, never seen that before.
Whoa, sharp coach !!!
I can see you and your wife relaxing sleeping in the bedroom and your daughter is like "excuse me can I use the bathroom". This is crazy layout unless you are a couple only...
This one is gorgeous, love the color and all the cabinets in the kitchen.
Love the colors
Спасибо за видео и за вашу работу
Happy to see a flat deck rear den. I hope this is a sign of the end of raised rear everything.
Very nice rig. A few things would need to change if I were getting one. But either way very nice rig. Thanks for bringing it to us.
God bless, and y'all stay safe on your travels.
Redwood has always been my favorite
Very well executed design. Should have a half bath and it would be awesome if they a bump tow TT like this.
Great looking rig!

oooh I like it!!

Beautiful! Do they not make front kitchens anymore?
Walking through the bedroom to the bathroom would take a certain level of commitment to who you let on the right (family, friends, etc). It looks great and really like the eating/living room areas.
$140,000 and there is still heat vents in the floor….drives me crazy!! Price is probably 20k cheaper now since this show was in April. LOL
Trying to send real feed back. Love your channel and respect your knowledge keep up the good work
Check out Northwood Outdoors RV my favorite but I’m biased
13 1/2” inches tall. Things sure are shrinking 😂
That made me laugh too. Clearance issues? Not here!
Nice
I wish the Riverstone looked as good inside as these! How’s the build quality compared to a Riverstone or Pinnacle?
Beautiful kitchen, love the colour. I like that manufacturers are putting in dishwashers. Don’t like the placement of the bathroom. If you have guests staying overnight they have to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom.
Very nice, the only thing that I would want is a half bath

Very nice, would definitely have to choose a different interior color though
Have to wonder who built that frame?
Essentially a couples' trailer if you have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom.
or a family trailer...
In todays economic world, that's really not a bad price for this quality & size of trailer IMHO.

5:40 did that drawer light up when it was fully extended?
My only critique is it needs a bigger pantry. Otherwise I would love it
A half bath would have been nice considering it’s 44’.
Love this one but I need to know who sells it in Sarasota county, Florida
9:36 so how would you compare quality of this unit to the Riverstone Legacy’s that you toured a few weeks ago??
In my opinion, Riverstone is wider, better frame, better sidewall construction, better suspension and better AC units.
That island would look really cool if those lines were LED strips

When you say modern dually, how new does that have to be? Like what year and newer?
Thanks for all your great info

Does Red Wood still over their high gloss wood stain finishes interiors? They looked so much nicer and expensive than all this paint.
The new Jayco high end is alot nicer, 43 ft total length you need to do a review on it mid living room.

Stickered payload on some F450s is less than some F350s. Though most think the F450 is being understated when it comes to that.
I'd be concerned about moisture and humidity in the front with the W/D and shower up there, especially in that walking closet. We're there any windows in the bathroom or just the fan?

How can it run on twin 8k axles when the max weight is 18k?
I want to watch these videos, however you make me need to take a Dramamine because you rotate the camera so much I get motion sickness!
My complaint with a lot of his videos. I say it over and over. I've come to the conclusion he has ADHD. I just can't watch more than 2 min. He has great content but way too fast. Showed this huge rig in just over 10 min. SLOW DOWN PLEASE.

Is Luxe the only one that doesn't have floor registers? I hate floor registers, all they do is catch dirt
Dishwasher directly under the sink is dumb. It needs to be to the side so you can rinse and load to the side

Two issues. One is the lack of a pantry with adjustable shelves and second is it should have a Gen Y hitch. Colors are very nice.
At least it was not the typical ‘you can tow it with a Ford Ranger’ spiel…
Definitely needs a half bath and a proper pantry
Do you think the reason for not making this a wide body was because of weight.
13 and a half inches tall....?
Can't do green cabinets or floor vents. Why is the dishwasher practically on the floor? Oh, my aching back. Too bad, it could be what I need.
why are they using samsung fridges when samsung has class action lawsuits all over against them
Beautiful with a lot of nice options but just too dang big for only having a single bedroom & bathroom. Even worse that the bathroom is on the other side of the master bedroom from the hall. Into the next!
Only Mistake was the Bathroom Should be Before the Bedroom!
They should have swapped bedroom and bathroom placement. Id rather not have people walking through my bedroom to go to the bathroom. Otherwise I love the trim work and different textured looks.
No half Bath
Its basically the same just some differences from last years model
140,000 and cheap floor heaters. I'll pass

Something that big with that many slides should weigh more than 16k. Tells you everything you need to know about what you are getting…
Imagine the typical american playing with ‘their’ phone while towing this… greatest country in the world….
You talk about dividers for the pullout sleeper sofas but then the only bathroom is past the master bedroom. May as well make those all deluxe recliners because there won't be anyone sleeping there if I owned this. Not to fond of this layout.
Only one bathroom that sucks!!!😢
Thanks for turning off judicial referee Judy. Nice unit! Be nice to have a side patio on a unit this long.

How much ?
Being fair to all UA-camrs giving this comment. If I have to watch long commercials (especially political ones) I won't watch the video. No offense.
All that weight and it has some skinny weak front landing legs!!!!!!
Kind of a boring interior color.
