- Queen Bohemian Rhapsody is the best for bringing a crowd! Here's my version of the incomparable Freddie Mercury and Queen all time classic.

No time to practice or warm up, so this was played "cold" on a first sitting - a little too fast and a few tiny hiccups!
Played on the beautiful Yamaha Grand piano at John Lewis Oxford Street which was available to the public as part of the John Lewis #eltonjohnlewis and Yamaha Music #MoreThanJustAGift Christmas campaigns.
The floor is relatively quiet and about 1 minute in, a crowd starts to form. Love people watching. Some just stop, surprised, some dance a jig, and some sing. Everytime I watch it, there is something else.

Thank you everyone. I am glad that my playing has suddenly got a lot of views but actually happier that it is getting comments.
This is my own arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. I took the full music score, with vocals and then just created the piano cover "on the fly" in my head merging the vocals and the instruments whilst playing. I find it more fun that way instead of just playing someone else's arrangements.
It wasn't perfect, definitely, and I don't use age as an excuse. It was too fast and also as it was the first time on that piano without warm up, after a 2 hour trip so there were definitely going to be some slip ups!
I love playing in public and so I will do this again, and now that I am 12 (the video was when I was 11), I have all the emotions in the world to use 😉. I lost against my dad on Fifa so hear my anger!

Jim Pickens Yes, I am lucky enough to have perfect pitch, but I don't think it's as big a deal as some people might think. It "helps" sometimes, but also can be distracting when I can hear something is out of pitch/tune!
Best tip I have been given - (told off many times!) - is to do it SSSLLLOOOWW... ironic! But practice slow - really slow, bar by bar. Get the basics right, whether it is technique, or a small part of a larger piece, and the rest will come.

@@lacimarie4041 i play all the brass instruments, but i am a trombone player mainly. Although the euphonium is a good sounding instrument too. Problem with switching between instruments is the different sized mouthpieces and lip muscles trained for 1 size of mouthpiece.

the only "bad" thing i would say is that you dont really play the pauses...
sometimes you need to wait a little to give the whole piece more feeling to it. But anyways great job!
