If you melt them into mag shaped blocks you can fit a 152 pack. The best thing is mixing the colors to make new flavors. Two mag sized blocks can replace one MRE.
There are quite a few homeless men out there that WERE Spec Ops for real. I've seen many DD214 to clarify their service, along with docs to prove MOS. It's very unfortunate that so many of our nation's finest end up in this situation. Forgotten by the Government they served and sacrificed everything for.
A great use for these (I own one) is the ability to pull it off of your plates and throw it on for certain applications. I find it useful for when I'm hiking after people in the desert when it's too hot and dangerous to wear my plates the whole way (arizona). Throw the harness on and camelbak to start rucking it out. Keeps your radio and other gear with you for a quick swap.
Honestly, from a strictly cilvilian perspective, i like this rig for the range. You can keep full clips readily available, gun oil, ear plugs, eye protection, etc

Good videos! Mission dictates the equipment you need. I cannot think of a single use case where a civilian would need anything more than a mini/micro chest rig. With the exception of a hanging pouch for medical and other gear. The three .556 or two 7.62 magazines should be more than sufficient for any situation a civilian might be in. Same is true for police, who seem to feel they need everything the military carries (although, I'm seen many news reports where the police fired hundreds of rounds and the criminal ran out of ammo and gave up).
The first step of establishing a loadout is to get rid of useless weight you won't need or use. So first dump the condoms, then remove yourself from the chest rig.
Great video. I am a new subscriber. I contacted Haley and asked whether their 5.56 inserts will work for my AK74 5.45 mags. Their answer was yes. But only the bakelite or plastics. Apparently some issues with some of the steel 5.45 mags.

I use one on patrol. It's set up with the x harness, but I can quickly take off the straps and velcro back panel and mount it to my hard armor for active threats using long guns. But I can mount this in seconds if I grab my patrol rifle. it's a fantastic size... perfect for LEOs not looking for a lot. Great overview!
Just went to order this and the 556 inserts are sold out everywhere. Our issued carriers are JPC so it would be super convenient. It’s also nice you can throw it over soft armor as well.

The best use for these rigs is to be able to swap the rig between carriers quickly and easily, with the buckles and velcro. That is the only use I can find for these.
I'm a retired barrel chested freedom fighter. I enjoy your humor and miss it and the guys, any way I've been retired since early 2000's and I've become a 56 chest size and up to a fine 260 lbs. Glad you addressed the issue of the width of the regular width D3CRX chest rig mounted on a Mayflower plate carrier. I noticed it when I was picking up my speed on the draw while shooting Steel Challenge. I got the Ferro Concepts KTS KWIK TRIPLE SHINGLE - M4 to try and address this, but it is a little crowded inside the Mayflower APC velcro pouch because of the fastex clips on the APC. Now that I have all this crap on my gun belt (thanks to you...), I want a slicker chest rig on plate carrier system. The Micro may be the way.
In France it is very difficult to obtain good plates like Hescos, and plates carriers aren't easy to find either. So I'm thinking of going with a chest rig, and I'm glad to have good content to rely on so I can choose good products. Thanks Daddy Garand 😎
The 2 pistol pouches at the side look pretty off compared to the rest of chest rig, but I agree with the superiority of the MP2 inserts vs elastic inserts. However from a general view, the spiritus rig looks way more compact and tacticool, and you can put zippers on the main pouch. Such a shame that the triple mp2 insert won't work in the Spiritus rig

I wear a Hill People gear kit bag which is a type of chest rig. Add a ten speed mag pouch for more goodies. But the hill people gear kit bag allows me to carry my Glock 20 concealed when I go hiking and backpacking in Sasquatch country
I got out of this business many years ago, but I just got my first privately-owned AR last week. I don't know what the kids are issued these days-- I wanted cheap and light-- so I got this well-traveled chest band thing at the local Army-Navy surplus store, $30, that started out Army ACU, but some wit had painted coyote brown. He had left in the pockets a laminated map of Camp Lejeune, five cigarette butts, and a used civvy camo compact. Also, a bunch of plate-carrier adapters. I feel... honored, I guess, like if Chesty Puller bought me a beer

As an owner of the original dc3r id swear by it for a modular micro rig. I clip it into my LBT RRV. If a micro rig isn’t for you its not for you but 170ish isnt a whole lot for good gear. Cant wait to get a flat pack plus in the near future.
Don't drink an eight pack of Ensure or anything else that is going to make you piss out your ass. It may sound funny till you go on some kind of mission, exercise or labor task. Stomach acids burn and too much unnecessary vitamins can actually cause nerve damage. In Vietnam people would give candy to the soldiers that would give their people poop feces a unique smell giving away their position.

What are your thoughts on a Chewbaca-like bandolier system? single? or PanchoVilla double-style? Is a leather sack a viable dump pouch?

As an owner of the original dc3r id swear by it for a modular micro rig. I clip it into my LBT RRV. If a micro rig isn’t for you its not for you but 170ish isnt a whole lot for good gear. Cant wait to get a flat pack plus in the near future.

Don't drink an eight pack of Ensure or anything else that is going to make you piss out your ass. It may sound funny till you go on some kind of mission, exercise or labor task. Stomach acids burn and too much unnecessary vitamins can actually cause nerve damage. In Vietnam people would give candy to the soldiers that would give their people poop feces a unique smell giving away their position.
Haley’s strategic micro chest rig is really clean looking. I just wish instead of having the front pouch they had an option to insert another three max on the front.
