Seriously though. Worker needs to make some of those shorter Talon mags and start selling them. At least the straight ones, and maybe the angled ones as well for those who want them.
Eh, I don't really like the name "dartsoft" because it builds this sort of association to airsoft. That wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that people seem to have a stigma to that sort of thing, unfortunately. I usually call it dart tag or d-tag
towards the end when he's talking about how appropriate it is to use Nerf as a verb. I think we should also use it for classification. Nerf wars could be the lower fps range stuff, and more accessible for kids, and any of the higher stuff like 150+ fps, should be called dart soft. This works as most nerf blasters hit under 100 fps stock, and blasters like the aeon pro, or nexus pro, that shoot 100+ fps aren't nerf, but are stock. It starts to be confusing when you call it stock wars, and you bring a stock nexus and can't use it at the stock war. Vise versa, you could use the nexus stock in a dart soft war, and not a nerf war, because it hits high fps.
You mentioned you made some gen3 tracer darts in this video. I tried to search your channel to see if you ever made a DIY tutorial on how to make them and did not find any. I was wonder if you ever made that video and if so, could you please provide a link to it in the comments below or the description above? Thanks. All the best. ...Yosh...
Hey man great video. I can dig it, it’s not really my bag but it’s cool enough. I’m not really taking sides on the “dartsoft” term I’ll just say I see both sides, it works for what you use it for and I would say I think Drac was just looking for a broader term at least from my understanding. Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see more from you man.
I'm no flywheel expert, but 150 for 3 stage is pretty low. With the foamblast cat 5 cage (2 stage) (also using hurricane wheels) IIRC is around 170-180. Rather strange. Motor's and cage spacing plays a role in that though. Good review, if a bit hard to follow and rambling at times.
I have found out the motors run at 43Krpm, which might be low for the diameter of the mini wheels to get the surface speed needed for critical kinetic energy transfer. And thank you for the feedback. It has been a long time since recorded a review and I guess it was little manic with too many tangents.
Are the motors all the same? It seems like you'd get more consistent performance out of having the first motor be a lower RPM higher torque just to get the darts moving.
As you saw you get a really tight consistency with the fresh "New" Gen3s. I have found out the motors run at 43Krpm which might be low for the diameter of the mini wheels to a critical surface speed.
I was looking to finally buy a full-auto primary, and with all the options available today (late 2023), I was having trouble making a decision... then I spotted the Phoenix 1.0 on sale from AKBlasterMod's Etsy for $72.06. And at that price, that's what I ordered. The big battery compartment, the sturdy injection-molded shell, and the general fit and finish--I don't think the competitors have surpassed the Phoenix 1.0. Sure, it's kind of hideous, agreed, 3 stages is a questionable design choice, and yes, the Phoenix 2.0 is much more refined aesthetically. But it's not a beauty pageant, and the guts of the 2.0 are essentially the same. At the time the Phoenix 1.0 came out, a lot of people found 160 fps and ~8 dps underwhelming, but both of those actually seem just about perfect for how I expect to play. Plus, at that price point, I can feel fine about trying a 2-stage mod, if I change my mind and decide 160 fps is not enough. If the Stryfe X had full auto, or if the Omnia hadn't had the botched first release, one of those probably would have earned my custom. But I'm happy with my choice! Now just waiting for it to ship from Hong Kong.
Very nice video The first in English I think 👍 Nice to have a new video from you guys Have a nice day/night or what time you are reading this and stay healthy Wished that the Phoenix would be a little bit smaller and double instead of tripple stage, and not take the angled mags. With katana and talons we have two good standards, I don’t see the sence in the angled talons personaly, instead of making more money and proprietary blasters like this one. I would be happy with the blaster if it would just take straight talons, but having to get new magazines just for this blaster turn me off unfortunately. Loving your videos and I am very exited for the gameplay vids that are soon to come❤️❤️
Holy schnitzels that's a sexy-awesome blaster I'd love to have. Though even without lockdown I wouldn't be able to use it outside my yard since the only local group over in Wagga is a mix of kids and adults, so can't use the high-power stuff >.
Based on the review, I ordered this in version 2.0. Worker has not shipped it, admits they have not shipped it and offered to cancel rather than ship it. This is terrible customer service. If others experience this, it's important to let people know that Worker is not delivering merchandise reliably. I was not warned about this, I had to track shipping three weeks after the order. In other words, Worker will keep your money and send you nothing unless you monitor every part of the transaction. This is disturbing.
Nah, they are targeting peeps who aren't in the community. Most people just wanna play the game but never get in because they can't mod and don't have the time to learn.
you really make it easier for over-reaching governments to ban these things when you portmanteau them together with replica firearms hobbies. nerf as a name was protected under the toy-like guise of the brandname.
We don't allow 1:1 replicas or realistic looking blasters. For that matter we don't even allow stereotypical real steel colouring of blasters. The name of the hobby has little to no impact on legislation. Tasmanian gelsofters use nerf shells because the issue is mostly about appearance not naming conventions.
The third set of wheels don't seem to add much performance gain over existing dual stage hurricane setups to justify the additional cost and hassle of their inclusion.

I once saw 200 fps one stage stryfe. It had 3s, worker clear wheels, 3dp cage and I think helcats?
Not a half bad blaster. Wish it came in kit form though, with the option to not include the motors.
Especially since fully assembled it probably won't go through customs in germany.

it was with retroreflective material and a vinyl cutter from what was mentioned in the Tracer darts video from April 2019
160 for three sets of flywheels seems low. My rapid red with meishel 2s hits almost 150fps
Is that 150fps with stefans? My stryfe dropped about 40fps when using stefans. Motor upgrades should have it hitting 200 easily.

Remember you aren't buying parts, it's ready to rock.
Keep in mind the hurricane fires full length darts.
I was more referring to the flywheels themselves, more then the blaster. I've seen similar numbers in dual stage Woozies and Bulwarks.
