Aaah there are so many reasons why I really like the Hajime x Komaeda ship. The biggest reason to me is that Hajime made Ko feel like he was actually worth something.
@@luisahomura8527 this is a late response, but during nagitos freetime events hinata always tries to understand nagito even if he felt like he didnt and in some points he would get close to understanding him but would shake away the thoughts. Hinata is the only person who seems to actually take interest in nagito/wants to fully understand him and i assume it made nagito vry delighted and happy that someone would be interested in him since he was lonely his whole life and was always misunderstood.

I went and searched up on it, and it resembles Alzheimers, so basically, his brain is rotting away and he was told he only had half a year left to live. He also said that he was just kidding, so of course we can't know if it's true... but if it is, it would also explain why he acts like that, as some of the symptoms are hallucinations and a warped common sense... but yes, he is kinda creepy, although if I look from his point of view I can sorta understand WHY he thinks like he does, but...

i think both the sub and dub are good for both Hinata and Komaeda , but personally i like their voice in japanese its more suiting for them especially for Komaeda because when i think of his character i think the voice should be innocent and calming. i dont know why and i'm sorry if i offended you.
I like Hinata's dub voice when it's not taken into account of his characterization in the original. But as someone who prefers accuracy, then the original all the way. The dub gives them completely different personalities to me. Hinata's dub is way too calm and chill, it was the opposite of how he was perceived before they localized SDR2. Prior to the English version, his fandom characterization was a hot-blooded character who isn't chill who tends to sound/act constipated or irritated. I know Hinata's Eng VA has said that dub VAs are voice actors and aren't voice impersonators...but still, it feels like most people in fandom around you are only into a story by reading a fanfiction instead of the actual thing when you change the characters' vibes into the opposite. The most obvious moment was when Hinata's sprite had a super anguish expression upon Komaeda's betrayal. He particularly sounded devastated and that the thing was so hard for hard for him to accept. I was disappointed when Johny Young Bosh just said it in his usual calm and collected tone. At least in the other sprites, you could leave it up for interpretation for how the character could sound...but in that one it's really jarring how the emotion doesn't match the sprite at all
@@flyingstapler1241 totally agree!! idk how i feel about the localization bit because the original fan translation did make hinata a lot more of an asshole than he really is, but I think people are waaay to focused on takayama's high-pitched voice "not fitting" (like i get that'd it be jarring but also it still sounds boyish and rough so it's not like he's completely lost his masculinity??) rather than looking at the actual quality of the acting, which imo is much consistently better than JYB, who despite being an all-star dub actor didn't really come off like he actually got into the character until the ending (ironically, takayama's enlightened!hinata was completely understated compared to JYB, so like...hmmm). even before i learned Japanese, hinata's reaction to komaeda potentially being the killer right before his freak out in the dub just seemed way too...dull for me, though i didn't think him and bryce really mixed together as the two characters here very well in general. like i thought JYB was probably one of the better performances in the game, but he really just kinda sounded like...JYB for the most part, not hajime hinata. he's a great actor though, no hate. also I can't believe I went back to this video after so long just to look at comments focused on the voice acting.
When you realize both of their voice actors are actually voice actresses. I love the two of them so much. Especially Hajime's VA, she's my childhood with voicing Conan in Detective Conan.

At least in the other sprites, you could leave it up for interpretation for how the character could sound...but in that one it's really jarring how the emotion doesn't match the sprite at all

@@flyingstapler1241 totally agree!! idk how i feel about the localization bit because the original fan translation did make hinata a lot more of an asshole than he really is, but I think people are waaay to focused on takayama's high-pitched voice "not fitting" (like i get that'd it be jarring but also it still sounds boyish and rough so it's not like he's completely lost his masculinity??) rather than looking at the actual quality of the acting, which imo is much consistently better than JYB, who despite being an all-star dub actor didn't really come off like he actually got into the character until the ending (ironically, takayama's enlightened!hinata was completely understated compared to JYB, so like...hmmm). even before i learned Japanese, hinata's reaction to komaeda potentially being the killer right before his freak out in the dub just seemed way too...dull for me, though i didn't think him and bryce really mixed together as the two characters here very well in general.
like i thought JYB was probably one of the better performances in the game, but he really just kinda sounded like...JYB for the most part, not hajime hinata. he's a great actor though, no hate.
also I can't believe I went back to this video after so long just to look at comments focused on the voice acting.
