I have been running a thrown together Occidental setup for 5 years now and absolutely love it. We do everything from finish work to framing custom and spec homes. Can’t beat the traditional leather
I'm also "wrong-handed". Excellent set up from a fellow lefty. I can see how you got the right handed fastner pouch to carry your tape on that side. I also do that to my current pouch...a simple Graintex. I ise the hammer loop to hold my tape measure. I'm planning on getting an Occidental Leather Fastner type. Looking at the OxyLite with some green canvas in the mix. A DIYer but want an additional bag on my right. Hey, if you can justify it to yourself and can afford it...hammer on, right?
Cool video, I started framing in 1977 I got my Occidental bags, mid eighties. One of those is similar to my right hand bag, I use a open third bag between the left and right bags and I have a hammer loop back there to. We framing I put my hammer upside down in the middle bag it’s fast and you can easily grab your hammer because the handle is up. I use the loop if I’m sheeting a roof or something where I’m using a nail gun. Give it a try. Mine are still together and I still use them. Great investment
There are no greater tool belts in the world than Occidental Leather tool belts. I have had mine for 5 years and on it there is very little wear and tear. The next I would consider are the Diamondback toolbelts or possibly even the knock off version of the Occidental Leather belts made by Bossa. But truly, as long as I'm living near a place that has Occidental Leather tool belts, I'll never go back to any other kind.
suspenders all wrong bud hope you fixed it! other than that i have basically have the same set up i just have a big occidental pouch for my nails in the back
I never understood why people spend big money on a hammer 25 dollar hammer shouod last you a lifetime even if it doesnt say you go through 3 tagts 225 dollars cheaper
leave it to an apprentice to go and buy the most expensive gear you can get. Doesn’t make a better carpenter, still just an apprentice, and a broke apprentice at that lol
Hey man it’s all good if you can’t afford a nice tool belt like this, a Home Depot tool belt works just as well (just won’t last as long) no need to be jealous 👍
Why are u hating? I’d rather have an apprentice who shows he wants the best tools and gear it shows he takes his profession serious and wants to learn. I’d trust him with my tools before I’d trust a guy like u with that kind of mindset.
🤣🤣🤣 everyone knows a tool belt is like a car you wanna show it off however I would never pay 300 for a hammer I know you didn't but that's ridiculous but having good tools isn't a necessity it's a choice and I have a DeWalt tool belt I've had since 2003 and it's still great
It looks good mate....it looks very well made and I hope it serves its purpose for many years 🙂👍

@@danthechippie4439 you’re supposed to rivot the loops on otherwise they slide off
Buy once cry once.. no need to explain yourself for having quality gear.

Yes my fastener pouch is for a right handed user but I liked how I could put my tape measure on the cats paw holder 👍
