I missed this performance, but I was at the festival this year and heard most of these guys jamming afterwards. Had a great time. There was lots of (unamplified) but good jamming in the Samoreau camping area, so I blew a few notes through my (muted) trumpet. It's a wild experience playing trumpet with up to six acoustic guitars at once.

Ils sont tellement dans la démonstration purement technique qu’il ne reste plus aucune âme à ce magnifique chef-d’œuvre de Django 😢 Et le public suit… On a l’impression que c’est une confrontation sportive ou un spectacle à l’américaine… La musique manouche ce n’est pas ça… Malheureusement 😢
