I meant to comment this on the last one: I wouldn't want the players to stop playing the decks they want to because they obviously want to win but watching snake eyes do the same plays with very little variation was getting a little tiring to see. This was a breath of fresh air

I get that. Even playing my favorite engines in Snake-Eye wasn't doing a good job of making it more interesting. Hopefully some new cards do something about that, and if not then I'll just play Pure/Tri-Brigade Fire Kings and run the new Striker cards in Orcust or something.
Can we take a moment to appreciate that on top of the more interesting meta without Poplar, the Grand Finals also were not decided by Maxx C? So refreshing.

One of the best meta weeklys since the snake eyes cards dropped, we saw so many different decks not just boring SE combos. Fuck snake eyes!
Wow. Banning poplar actually kills snake eyes? I mean it's understandable since this card alone can do too much
The limit one event just made me realize, even if they limit one of the SE monsters they will just become a splashable engine

The thing with snake eyes is they use to need an extender an somenthing to sent to the GY,and poplar provides both
the golden swordsoul and quen combo is sick, truly looping machine
I love using Golden swordsoul in my centur-ion deck, It gives much consistency by Combining both Swordsoul and Centurion in one deck, Thabks to Centur-ion Auxila, The most broken card in Swordsoul
Please more tournaments with Poplar banned. This was the best one in the last months and would be awesome to continue seeing different decks being played instead of 14 Snake-Eyes players.
I'll be honest, having less Snake eye have truly make this more enjoyable.

That Runick/Bystial vs Mannadium/Tear match was great, really highlights how amazing Runick is for the game by actually having proper duels that last a couple turns with lots of interaction, instead of the boring non-games so many other decks create.
i like it too but i gotta admit. runick is kinda toxic lol. not hating it though cause I'm basically one of the pollutants.
nah fk that deck toxic ass GY hate bro runs 2 Called By, Bystial Package and fking Runick cards. Actual banish merchant 1 trick pony type deck
the issue is that Runnick gets INSANE resources and 80% of the time it's just a stun deck

They do not. With perfect play, you whittle down the Lab player's resources and they just roll over.
GIGACHAD players: i use red reboot
you can handle dpe as lab but it becomes almost impossible when the opp has dpe with multiple disrubtion on top of that but yeah its very annoying
@@kusanali9824 That's why I say with perfect play. I know Lab has ways to out it but outting it usually means you're going to trade 2 for 1 or even 3 for 1 and that leaves you vulnerable to any follow-up plays.
IDP can work, but finding the right time to set it up can be tricky.
DPE dies as soon as Lovely hits the field and the Lab player has a non-destruction removal. But without that, yeah it’s tough.
Unironically one of the most fun tourneys we've had this year. The matches are very entertaining and interactive, props to the players👏
great custom banlist. fun to watch and the hero player made his matches very exciting.

I played Evol in SE at Raleigh, never got a feature to show it off😢. Had a winning record before dropping for giant card(topped it instead)

This has to be my favorite meta weekly. So diverse. And top notch back and forth duels like that dino vs tears, and the runick bystial vs mannadium tear.

the 3 card must remain in place for charge to be resolves...

They're not the same. Tearlaments Kashtira is just a card they can both use.

As someone who enjoys snake eyes it’s still cool to see newer stuff. Meta lovers appreciate it but I find Horus is everywhere now , nothing worse then versing full anti meta stun decks set 5 haha . Horus and unchained still seem to be the coolest interactive decks

Ordinarily I find Heroes kind of annoying but Grand Magus was cooking! I don’t like the floodgates but the go-second board wipe with engine and then big boy beat down made it hard not to root for him.
@@Kintaku Heroes dont have any of negates, just have pop cards as a form of disruption, one or two floodgates, which is not just summon and gg like fossil dyna, I really dont understand why call it as annoying.

@@diogofernandes4973 pretty simple. Plasma and Dark Law. I don’t enjoy playing against floodgates. Especially one-sided ones.
It’s turn 1 is also just a super long combo just to end on those floodgates a lot of the time on ladder so I just tend to not enjoy it.
Love the archetype, hate fighting it.
@@Kintaku Makes sense, for me I dont care too much, because Konami almost dont create good cards for heros, have really good combo starters but unless you use floodgates your end board it just DPE + Shining Neos Wingman, so I can tolerate just 2 floodgate.
But I would really prefer Heros with other boss monsters, Dark Law and Plasma are card which dont could exist in a healthy game.
Bystial Runick is one of the coolest decks I've seen in Master Duel! 😲 Ban ALL the floodgates, unlimit Runick, and LET RUNICK COOK! 😤

i have huge success with naturia runick horus on ladder. it is too oppressive for snake eye, and has extension that bystial runick just doesn’t have.

Why don't more people use mikanko sleeves, I use them in my scareclaw deck and the amount of people that leave an open field can't be coincidence
people must be super stupid or their deck cannot put up a good field against Mikanko for whatever in god forsaken name they are playing.

I found the tournament way more entertaining without snake eyes everywhere, but I understand if people want you to just abide the MD banlist so it's more representative of the competitive environment.

It it weren't for Maxx C and Ash Blossom these matches would be near perfect, but those 2 handtraps really make some matches boring af.
The 1st match with the salamangreat player didnt even get to play his Deck in the last duel. I wanted to see a comeback at least 😢
Maxx "C" is a problem entirely because it both draws and baits away Ash Blossom, which has so many fewer answers to in comparison, heck it even plays through Macro fields unlike a lot of old hand traps that still see a lot of usage.
Nobody likes heroes, they're the real villains of yugioh!

A lot of floodgates are in an awful place right now, so decks playing them more frequently has been less annoying than it used to be. HERO having one sided nonsense from Dark Law to Cosmo Neos to work with is dumb, but I can see why some people think they need those to succeed.
the only route for them to be playable is to give them a negate or two then and ban the floodgates afterwards.

During the 2 horus into the 3rd one? I think he was threatening a battle phase with only 2 horus and or xyz that may negate a monster effect (less likely). Simply making it unable to be used either way > he activated uct before end of main phase, redo main phase summon 3rd horus > battle phase
