The math for triple AriseHeart banish on PoE...
The number of possibilities for banishing 6 out of 15 cards is the binomial coefficient "15 choose 6", which is 5005.
Banishing triple AriseHeart means you banish those three for certain, and then need to banish 3 of the remaining 12 cards. This is "12 choose 3", which is 220.
So the probability of losing all three AriseHeart is 220/5005, which is approximately 4.4%.
So it feels like it should be unlikely, but it is about once every 20 games...

Master Duel's power level was already lower than the other formats... snake eyes is so hand-over-fist superior to every other strategy that I have no idea why Konami released it in such a complete form so early.

I never liked Branded or Kashtira, but now I am rooting for them to defeat Snake-Eyes every matchup. That deck needs to be stopped
I am sure it will get hit, but isn't this how it always is? Most of the time a new deck type is released, it is at the top. I hate branded because of the puppet lock. At least snake eyes doesn't have a floodgate that literally stops your opponent from playing the game. I hope branded always loses to snake eyes. Not to mention this game is basically "whoever opens maxx c turn one wins". I kind of wish that Dkayed would just ban the annoying little insect for these top 16s, would probably see more fun duels when the match isnt won with one card.
@@KillaManReaper2 He wants the tournament to be as close as possible to the ladder. So that the tier lists on the website are more relevant. That's why there are no side decks.
@@KillaManReaper2 maxx c isnt a real problem and tbh snake eye wouldnt be a problem aswell if other tier 0 decks would be on full force. turn 0 plays from tear w havnis, millers ect would wipe the floor w snake eyes, even kash in full force will kill it, but because konami need to make bang they limit everything so down that we have only snake eyes and maybe despia (but snake eyes is stronger) it will take months till they do something. my sugession: EVERYTHING from snake eye to 1 w princess banned
and yes fresh released decks tend to be dominant (thx to that banlist) but snake eyes plays on a different lvl, the hits need to come way sooner as usually. i see ppl quit left and right. in the chat u see ppl hating on it, in the comments u see it aswell, the archetype was released without any prehits and that ether hurts or bring them money af. ur guys choice

The ladder is now boring. These tournaments are now boring. Everyone has to either play snake-eyes or pray they don’t get clapped by it for the next two months because Konami won’t start banning the deck until it’s no longer for sale in the store. We’re in a tier 0 situation and whether you want to agree or not, that hurts the game by pushing away current and potential players. It’s unfortunate that we’re in a tearlaments 2.0 situation with snake-eyes.
Pretty much everybody playing snake eyes, nothing diverse here at all. Even the YCS can tell you too, just nuts.
Yup, no other deck in ladder. If i Go turn 1 opp gets to hand trap me 3 times and still get 2 one card combo in hand.
Not to mention there's so many decks that were released well before all the snake eyes stuff that still don't have all their support yet that would help to be more competitive against snake eyes. Konamis business tactics are trash and hope they lead to people leaving the game for good and less new players to send a loud message to the people up top...

snake is just endless summon with 10 million playaround and spamming a dumb negate board
tears was maybe a bit to strong w shufflers and miller on 2 agains non meta but most decks was able to play vs tears and win. snake eye is just watching a movie. as soon i see 1 snake eye card i scoop screw that dumb deck
Snake eyes being able to droll to counter every other meta relevant deck while also using it as a counter for Maxx c while also ironically also running the outs to Kash bc it's also the outs for the mirror match is wild
I was using droll in mathmech for the same reason bc u could still end on terahertz if u get Maxx c'd for a spell trap and monster negate plus 4 cards in hand but snake eyes does it even better
The mirror match being good is why the meta is fine even though it's at a very high usage.
For example, the meta was never more competitive than during the Tear meta. Yeah, it was clearly the best deck in the history of the game and you were either playing the deck or playing to counter it, but the games were very interactive.
We never got it in Master Duel because they were smart enough to pre-emptively ban Mind-Hacker, but the Kashtira dominant meta in the TCG/OCG was toxic as hell.
@@randumo24the kash mirror was honestly pretty interesting - I’m not arguing the deck wasn’t dogshit to have in the format (it was) but if you’re just judging a deck by the mirror, kash was fine.
It was one of the few deck able to run enough non-engine to consistently avoid the Diablosis lock in the mirror, and it ran outs in both main and side to deal with it - so you were very rarely getting locked. There were a bunch of interesting interactions with Shangri giving the opponent an easy AriseHeart and the perma-macro double-triggering Theosis, plus the lack of hard negates made it quite interactive. It was just a dogshit format if you weren’t playing kash, or if you were playing kash against any other deck.😊

@@gravemind76 Nah, as good as Ash is; it has nowhere near the guaranteed payoff Circular does thanks to how broken Cyberse is.
I mean, turn 2 Circular is a virtual guaranteed Accesscode OTK without multiple hand-traps.
The reason Ash is a 1 card starter is because it can search Poplar, but it takes up your normal summon...which Circular doesn't.

Maxx c is now never being banned, with snake eyes being able to summon 4 times on your turn you need it both turns
Maxx c is the only bad part about the snake eye mirror, such a fun and skillintensive mirror otherwise.

This was a cool Tournament. I remember us un chat being gobsmacked by how in the Top 4 that Game 1 was Soooooo long with the back and forth. It was like 40 minutes if I remember. How people were "I would like to remind you all that this is only GAME 1! Ahhhh. What a time that was.

This sneak eyes is the new shit like all before it . If i turn again to stun deck both whit despia dont have chance. Main reason peoples play stun is fk broken decks been released.
It's hilarious how Branded is basically the only deck not on Snake-Eyes that I'm regularly using right now(the others being Rescue-ACE, Sky Striker and now Endymion, even started messing around with Eldlich again because their spells/traps are good dumps for Witch). Lab is unironically worse than all those Spell heavy decks on ladder even with access to EEV, but they're getting new cards to work with soon so it's not all doom and gloom.
And I'm actually using less or even NO copies of Maxx "C" in some going second builds just because I want them to build bigger boards to steal their monsters from(and play around TTT when forced to go into grind games), but that's high risk without the right ratios so I wouldn't recommend that for tourneys or inexperienced deck builders.
I was playing all engine decks for the last few months up until now. With snake eyes being the best deck, it feels like loading up on hand traps is the only option
The fact that the Snake-Eyes player had Droplet in the 4th match game 3 was so annoying.. The Branded player played very well that game.
Its always annoying when you opponent draws the out. Same could be said for branded when they draw an out for a board. I hate branded anyways since this whole puppet lock thing. At least snake eyes doesnt play a floodgate that literally stops the other player from even using their deck.

Like the other person said, they have nonstop gas as well as a million starters it’s ridiculous. Even when you grind and get close, they come back with full force
@@1EvilWiz1 I just really dont like floodgates. I agree though that yugioh is flawed. You see it all the time in these tournaments. The person who goes first without any interruptions usually wins, or the person who resolves maxx c wins. It mostly is never determined by skill of the player to play through a board. While I would agree that snake eyes has way too much gas, its also refreshing to see the kind of games snake eyes pulls off. There was a snake eyes mirror match in one of these and I will tell you that it was probably the best duel to watch because it lasted like 8 turns.

I like how everybody saying this is worse than full power tear ishizu. Yeah, let's all forget about how the deck can make a strong board on turn 0 WHILE disrupting your plays. The handtrap lineup is the only thing snake eyes over tear, which they too can play through multiples of. Let's not also forget that the cards were already hit on their debute, all meanwhile having access to elf, sprind, zeus, etc.
If people could find a way to make it work, witches strike destroying all their cards plus banishing them all in a heavy duty removal deck or something similar like with macro cosmos could do some damage to this deck because its grave centric isn’t it?
Perhaps also some kaiju or kaiju like cards with owners seal to grab a quick win before they build a field presence.
Non meta stuff will probably be whats needed to stop this deck.
The one thing i dislike about these videos is the fact that the Grand Final plays get fast-forwarded. I get that they are often already seen plays but these are the best two players of the tournament, it just takes a bit of prestige away from it. Regardless great videos, keep it up!

You can use Mind Drain. It negates all monster effects activated in the hand. Play a deck that can defend itself without handtraps, and you'll be clapping Snake-Eyes for depending on them.

Cristian Urena’a SE combo guide is something anyone should be checking out if they want to play this deck. Just super optimised combo lines that check common handtraps. Watching finals, it looks like even the best-performing players in this tournament might need it 😅
you do realize md has different lines bc of what’s available and the fact it’s an entirely different format as well, having to prepare for many different decks and hand traps. please stop. tcg is irrelevant

There’s a super brief explanation of an SP line, at one point he uses the new Salamangreat link 4 where you’d use Amblo in MD, and there’s a few mentions of playing around Cosmic Cyclone which is mainly being played for Fire King Island in TCG so not hugely relevant. Everything else in the guide is pretty much 1:1 to what is available in Master Duel. The handtraps being played in both formats are very similar, and the only card the guide actively talks about playing around is Nib (playing through ash/imperm/veiler is hand-dependant, but nib can be navigated around in linear combos). There are a couple mentions of “sequencing this way beats super poly” and “this chainblocks ghost belle” which are more relevant to tcg - but it’s not like there’s any harm in playing around them anyway.
If you’re coming to say “Spright Elf is legal in MD” then I’ve got no interest in hearing it - it’s a really win-more tech option that frequently ends up playing into handtraps you’d otherwise beat.

Blackwing is another good snake eyes counter in addition to kashtira. Burn their life points to zero is the strategy.
