Gabriella ♡ hi! Just found your channel a few weeks ago! I like your baby name videos. Even though I'm not having kids anytime time soon, I love keeping name lists. It's cool to see you here! 😊
No way - how spooky! I must have heard them on your channel and stored them in the back of my brain - ha ha! They are such rare names - thanks for watching xxxx
I don’t know if this is weird but I would love a baby name list inspired by the Harry Potter series. Jk Rowling came up with some amazing names e.g Remilda, Ginevra, Luna etc. Would be interesting maybe ? Just a thought.
Ahhh! Thank you so much for answering my dilemma! I really like Oswin. It’s unique but goes along with a lot of current trends in the US. Ozzy could be a cute nickname. I’ve watched your name videos for so many years. You are my favorite. Thank you!
Ah you're welcome - thank you so much for watching :-)) Oswin is a new favourite since I found it looking for you - I love the nickname Ozzi & in sweden they do Ossi which is just slightly different but super cute! x
Guy Tobias John Sharp Guy Sharp does have a very grown up sound to it. Tobias Sharp has such nice flow or if you like the meaning of Tobias you could go with the lesser used Tobin. Tobin Sharp sounds fabulous to me!
Thank you! This was my dilemma, the problem with Tobias as a first name is it's my husband's best friend, so I don't know if that would get confusing having two of them!
The saccone jolys here on youtube have italian names! Emilia Tommasina, Eduardo Jonathan, Alessia Fransesca, Andrea Luca :) they just go by their first names though, of course!
I love this version even more than your beautiful lists! So interesting to think about constructing names within parameters. The way you consider the context behind each name is fascinating.
My name means "little rock" and my husband's name is Peter meaning "stone" so I think it would be so cute to have a bunch of little "pebbles" as our friend put it. Any suggestions for rock/stone/mineral names?
Gosh, I love these baby name Mondays! You are the baby name guru! I love your enthusiasm and how you put so much thought and work into these names. They are beautiful!
You're such an expert ! Hope UA-cam will stay a thing 10(ish) years from now so then you can help me find the perfect middle name for Theodora/Theodore xx
Imagine if I'm still doing Baby Name Mondays in 10 years - ha ha ha! I'll have a LOT of names :-))) I love Theodora/Theodore - and will always be here to help! xxx
Thank you so much for answering my dilemma!! I really like Ezra and goes really well with Outlaw too 😊 I may well be adding a few other names to our lists too 😉 will let you know what we go for! Due early Jan xx
My question totally wasn't a dig at you!! I'm so sorry I wasn't thinking about it. I just worry that if I commit to E names like Emmeline, Eli and Eden and then name another child something else they will feel left out
Ah - ha ha! I was just joking as sounded like it was a little tease at my choices as it was left on that video :-))) Freddie actually really did want another F name and wanted them all to 'match' but I didn't think it would be an issue hopefully xxx
Bekah Brooks kids will always find a way for something to be unfair! Although it’s nice to have children with names that sound nice together, at the end of the day they are individuals and when they grow up their names won’t be grouped together with their siblings any more. I didn’t want both my children to have names starting with the same letter but it worked out that way. If we had decided to have more children I wouldn’t have limited myself to choosing names starting with that same letter
My brother and i are both a names but i have 2 syllables and he has three. My other brother is an e name. I think the difference of syllables differentiates the names enough so its not an issue. We hardly noticed.
Thank you! I guess I just got a lot of judgement with my daughter and would feel protective of any name we came up with, and we love this name but it gets a similar response to my daughter's where people seem surprised and unsure, but like it eventually! Just got to be brave I guess
Mrs S and Co my sons name is Guy and I think it's a great strong name for ANY last name. Guy means 'Leader' what more could you want from your baby boy?😊
For Luljeta: I don't know if this is a little out there but Fox as a middle for a girl can really add a dash of unexpected, naturey, spunkiness. The short one syllable would also work with Luljeta being a 3 syllable name.
Hey, SJ! I was wondering if you could do a Jewish baby name list or a German baby name list? I'm not looking to have a baby anytime soon... but I love thinking about names for mine and my girlfriend's future kids 🙈 haha. Hi from the US!!
SJ, I've also been watching your baby name videos since day one!! I'm only 22, and having kids is hard for lesbians, but I have always wanted three children, and I've ALWAYS been obsessed with names. Discovering your videos was like uncovering a goldmine. Thank you for everything! 💚
Ahhhh that's so lovely of you to say; yes there are so many amazing names and I always try to find rare ones that I love as imagine other people read a lot of name lists like me - ha ha! I'll look at a german/jewish name list xxx
No way! Ahhhh huge congratulations you must be so so excited (and also fed up waiting - ha ha!) Her name is stunning :-))))) Thanks so much for telling me!
Thank you so much for answering my question! I really like the names Amber, Audrey, and Rosalie! These are names that have briefly come to my mind before, but I never gave them much thought. I'll bring them up to my hubby and see what he thinks 😊
And I love the last name Rice! My great aunt was 'Ilva Rice' I like names that start with vowels for going with Rice as they are more unusual and balance the intriguing last name :)
Thanks so much Alexandra - I heard the pronunciation was different but it kind of sounds like Finn with the accent - ha ha! I really loved the sound of it x
I love your lists SJ but this was really cool and I'm sure very helpful to all the mom's and dad's! I would love to see all the names that people have chosen based on your lists as well. This is a great one! Seems to like you really nailed it!
My top three favourite girls names are Luella, Luna, Sienna. And my top 3 boys names are Jackson, Jesse, Hudson, although I’m beginning to really like the name Dylan.
I would love for you to do some kind of list of names that are in the top 100 in the UK but not in the US :) just to hear what’s popular in other countries that could spark some cute ideas here! I live in Arizona
I would love a video on welsh and or cornish names. My favourites are Lowenna, Elowen and Lowri to name a few. I am from cornwall and lived in wales and and some of them especially girls are gorgeous but also unique in terms with the rest of the country but i think have a lot of popular elements to them
Hi SJ, Really love this! Would love to see European alternatives to classic names, for example I really like the names Leonora and Carlotta which are Italian versions of Eleanor and Charlotte. X
My daughter is 24 years old. We didn’t know what we were having, and the entire pregnancy we couldn’t come up with a boy’s name. Wish you’d been around then. My other kids came to us through testamentary guardianship (one) and foster care (three). They’re all girls and they all came with their names already. I think we’re just lucky there were no duplicates!
I love Biblical names, but people can't deal with them lol We have Ezekiel (Zeke) Orrin (I thought I'd call him Ori, but we don't lol I found out last year that Orin is a Herbrew girls name, but everyone where we live has a grandpa, or great uncle called Orin, or Oren 😄) and Zipporah (we call her Zippy for short) it's not the original spelling, as I thought nobody would be able to pronounce it with the T at the beginning 😄 So I looked up phonetic spellings, and people still can't manage 😄 I love Hepzibah 😍 My sister has Isaac, Jemima (when Job got his new family, his first daughter was called Jemima) Abel, and her last one is Isabella (obviously not Biblical though) my other sister has Jerusha, Tabitha, and Gabriel 😊 I love Z names, so I also love Zeebedee, Zachariah, and not a Z named, but I love Nathaniel 😊
Love love this video. The extra length is awesome too. 😁 I am hoping to get pregnant with my third baby within the next year so I can really start focusing on naming a little one. 😊 I have a great list going full of options from your videos!
I wondering if the name Finley or Ridley is to out there? For a girl. I think they are just beautiful, but I worried its just too out there. Also, I dont know if it will fit in with my other kids names. My kids are Ryder James, Aidyn Marcus and Jaidyn Sophia, (twins).
For the name Olivia there’s a spelling I really love “Alyvia”. I don’t know why but it’s super pretty and a wee bit different/unique and I really like the nickname Ally.
For the name “Guy” there is different way to pronounce it in French which is also lovely. It’s pronounced “Gi” where I am from (Quebec, Canada) 🇨🇦! Its short and sweet!
You are such a sweetheart, thank you for addressing my dilemma. I am going to play around with the other names you suggested for Olivia but like you said, it’s popular for a reason! :) xx
Loved this video and all of your baby name videos! ❤️ Do any of y’all in the comments have an idea of a girl name that goes with siblings Evelyn Grace and Elisabeth Pearl? Doesn’t have to be an e name, although that would be nice. Having the hardest time finding another girl name! 😬
Oh, I wish I would have seen this sooner. I know of many names. If you want another E name Eliana Lucia is so beautiful, or Eliana Violet. Eloise Margaret, Eleanor Giselle. Also, Nora Celeste is very pretty or Nora Violet. Annabelle Lily, Abigail Lauren, Emilia Rosalie, or Beatrice Jane.
My daughter is Genevieve and my boys are Maximus and Atticus, having a 4th not finding out gender so we need 2 names. We love Evalina for a girl. And Artemis for a boy. They both feel very similar to names we have chosen, any other ideas. We like a uncommon 1st name and common middle name. We have a Rose, William, and James.
Wow this video is amazing!! I love all your baby name videos but this was just so interesting...I spent most of the time scribbling down names (I'm not even pregnant!) x
im only 14, but i honestly get so excited over baby names and i thought i’d share the ones i plan to use. i have so many years until i have kids so ill probably forget about these but still ahaha. these are first and middle names. 1. avalyn “avie” marie (girl) 2. manilla kale (boy) 3. marlowe jean (girl) 4. finley “finn” keaton (boy)
@@SJ_Strum Ah thanks! Not avoiding the F name as such... Just conscious that there could be a small chance we have a forth then we'd be tied to another F which may be a bit much as I already get my 2 Fs mixed 😂
Hey, I just wanted to give an input on the Irish name 'Fionn' you mentioned early on in the video. I am from Ireland and we actually pronounce it 'Fee-un' here. Just thought I would mention it in case anyone was interested xx
Loved this baby name Monday video. I was thinking about the lady who has ‘Evan Gabriel’ and looking for a girl name to go with it. Obviously I love your suggestion of ‘Amber’ having a little Amber myself. But as she likes Sienna, I remember Kerry Conway doing a baby name video on her UA-cam about her naming her first daughter Sienna and she really liked ‘Summer’ originally but her husband wasn’t keen and googled names which sounded similar to that which is how they got to ‘Sienna’. Once again, I’m biased, having a ‘Summer’ myself. 😃 they do have similarities though with beginning with ‘s’, the double letter in the middle and same sound at the end. How about Summer Grace??? Xx
Can you suggest a brother for Tristan? We love unique but not too out there and we love mythology, Irish, Scandinavian, Scottish, etc. names but we are open to hearing any type of name suggestions! Thank you!
For some reason when I read your comment I thought of the name Trident. Like the symbol of the Greek Mythology god of the sea. I think those two names would be cute together.
Help! Imogen or Innogen? I love them both, Imogen for it’s softer sound and literary theme, and Innogen for it’s Celtic roots and uniqueness. Any advice?
Ingrid and Inez are very popular names in my country (Nicaragua) and yes they are both very beautiful names I actually think that Ingrid Inez sounds pretty together or it does in spanish lol 😊
I’ve been given the amazing task of naming my new sibling! My younger sibling twins are named Carter Noel and Bear Blue, the new baby is a girl and I really love the name Winter but I’m struggling for a middle name! Do you have any other name suggestions and can you help with middle names?💞
Not sure if you've already done it but I would love to hear an Elvish/ethereal baby name list. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and my husband has picked an elvish sounding name if we have a daughter. We havent fully agreed on a male name and I'm wondering if theres many male elvish names out there :)
Trying to go through some of your baby name videos to see if you mention mine at all, I have come across a few, but never with my spelling. Ive met Kirrily, Kirrilly, Kirra-Lee/Leigh, etc but my mother wanted to be different and Im a Kirilly. Have you met or seen or heard of this particular name?
My Top 3 favourite girl names : 1. Rosie (Rose) 2. Chloe 3. Alexis (Lexi) My top 3 favourite boy names : 1. Jack 2. Archie 3. Elliot I love all of these names
I'm having trouble finding a middle name that flows with my favorite boys name, Finnley. I think Finnley is a little feminine for a boy (?) so would like to contrast it with a strong middle name. The only one I've come up with so far is Alexander but not 100% on it.
I’m 18 and don’t plan on having kids any time soon.... but I love baby names sooo much! Thanks for the really interesting and unique name.
Im in the same boat! planning for he future really
Same
Kitty J I'm fourteen, same!
Those videos are also great when you're writing a book and don't know how to name your characters
Kitty J same I’m 16 😂😂
you mentioned both olwyn and avril which were my nans first and middle names! never hear them anywhere haha!
Find that so interesting, my grandpa’s name is Alwynne, never considered the female version
One of my best friends name is Avril!
Avril Lavigne??? lol.
hey, I love your baby name lists so so much. could you possibly do a list on mythology names or Gods and Goddess names ?
Yes I'd LOVe to do this one! I always look at those lists for people xxxx
Brilliant idea I would love to watch this!!!
Oooh yes please!!!
Zeus and Iris
My favourite god and goddess names
I love the name juno
Can you do a list of literary inspired names? Authors or characters? And maybe an artist and authors list?
I've had this list for so long and keep overthinking it - ha ha! Yes I will do though xx
The names in all of the Y.A. series are so friggin cute! Going to be using some for my children when I finally have kids.
Totally think that the twins should be called Piper and Heidi, think they're both so gorgeous!
Esmee Miedemaa xo hahahahahahhaa ja dat is waar. nooit over nagedacht
I don’t know if this is weird but I would love a baby name list inspired by the Harry Potter series. Jk Rowling came up with some amazing names e.g Remilda, Ginevra, Luna etc. Would be interesting maybe ? Just a thought.
She really did! Maybe I"ll do that around Halloween as a kind of Harry Potter Special! xxx
SJ Strum Omg please do !!!!
Please do!!
I’m calling my baby Luna x
Eleanor Chadwick Luna is on my list too!!!
My kids initials are A.C & D.C. My husband and I realized this after our daughter was born and had a good laugh about it.
I absolutleu love that!!!😁😆 Good job!👍👏❤
Ahhh! Thank you so much for answering my dilemma! I really like Oswin. It’s unique but goes along with a lot of current trends in the US. Ozzy could be a cute nickname. I’ve watched your name videos for so many years. You are my favorite. Thank you!
Ah you're welcome - thank you so much for watching :-)) Oswin is a new favourite since I found it looking for you - I love the nickname Ozzi & in sweden they do Ossi which is just slightly different but super cute! x
It depends on the country. In Australia having a nickname of 'Ozzie' would be strange. Maybe 'Winnie' instead 😂 (love that as a girls name!).
Guy Tobias John Sharp
Guy Sharp does have a very grown up sound to it. Tobias Sharp has such nice flow or if you like the meaning of Tobias you could go with the lesser used Tobin. Tobin Sharp sounds fabulous to me!
Tobin is lovely x
Thank you! This was my dilemma, the problem with Tobias as a first name is it's my husband's best friend, so I don't know if that would get confusing having two of them!
TOBIN is a version of Tobias and I love it so much, it would honour the friend without being the same
How about something different like Malachi? It kind of has a similar sounding towards the end?
Can you do Italian baby names that aren’t too hard to say in English speaking countries. Thanks x
Yes I will do xxx
The saccone jolys here on youtube have italian names! Emilia Tommasina, Eduardo Jonathan, Alessia Fransesca, Andrea Luca :) they just go by their first names though, of course!
@@The.Caroline Was just about to leave the same comment ;) Beat me to it! xx
I love this version even more than your beautiful lists! So interesting to think about constructing names within parameters. The way you consider the context behind each name is fascinating.
Ah thanks Sarah xxx
I had a hell of a time coming up with names for my triplet girls. I finally settled on flora names. Rowan, Willow and Ivy. What do you think?
Beautiful. My daughter is Ivy Grace.
Beautiful.
My son’s name is Ivey.
💕perfection
My name means "little rock" and my husband's name is Peter meaning "stone" so I think it would be so cute to have a bunch of little "pebbles" as our friend put it. Any suggestions for rock/stone/mineral names?
I'm just gonna say Sapphire because it's my name haha. I think it's a beautiful, yet strong name and still not really used.
Ah how cute - could you just go with Pebbles - ha ha - I love it! I'll have a proper think for you.
My friend is called Opaline and I love it!
Gemma is an italian name that means "precious stone" :)
My chicken’s name is pebbles lmao

Ah thanks Cheri - I was overthinking this for so long; ha ha! But I do love baby names so it's a lot of fun too!!! Thanks so much for watching xx
For twin for Piper:
How about Ellery? They're both surname-y and relatively, unusual and you could nickname her Ellie.
Ellie Light but it sounds so much like Celery.
My daughter is called Ellerie Elizabeth and we never get any comments about it rhyming with celery. Though it was something we thought about.
i like ellery spelt elerrie i loveeee ie endingsss xx
You're such an expert ! Hope UA-cam will stay a thing 10(ish) years from now so then you can help me find the perfect middle name for Theodora/Theodore xx

Love the name Guy. Hope she does stick with it! it's a really handsome/ strong name
Me too! I really like it x
For the lady with a Florence already, we have a Florence who we call flora, and she has a big sister called Harriet, who we call Hattie. x
Could do Italian names like Italia or Sicilia
For Luljeta:
I don't know if this is a little out there but Fox as a middle for a girl can really add a dash of unexpected, naturey, spunkiness. The short one syllable would also work with Luljeta being a 3 syllable name.

Ah it won't be too too popular at all - it's just coming back a bit now but even so definitely use it x
Isabella Jordan Rice sounds lovely. I absolutely love it.
I loved this video!! So interesting and helpful! Just an FYI in Ireland we pronounce Fionn as Fee-yun

arietta and piper sound really cool/pretty together
Yes that's lovely isn't it xx

Ah thanks so much x
I was sooo excited when you mentioned the name Rosalie...it is my favorite name of all time!!😊
It's gorgeous isn't it!
Great video! Can you maybe do one with 3-letter (or 2!) names that're more than one syllable?
Oooh I'll have a look at it xx
You should do this every week along side your name list. You give such good advice. I will be messaging you when I have my second 😂 x
''They live in America so they don't want anything too hard to spell'' - lool the shade, that made me laugh!

I like the name Guy! Do it! I think it was fairly popular in the 90's in Australia.
That would be fitting! Our daughter has a name more common in Australia so I guess I just like more Aussie names! Thanks for responding 😊
I Love your videos! You think of such beautiful names. My favourite combination right now is Maeve Renee
Oooh that's lovely!! xx

Hello SJ I love your lists so much! Could you do a hawaiian baby name list? They sound very different and cool and have lovely meanings
Yes I must - I love hawaiin names x
I wondering if the name Finley or Ridley is to out there? For a girl. I think they are just beautiful, but I worried its just too out there. Also, I dont know if it will fit in with my other kids names.
My kids are Ryder James, Aidyn Marcus and Jaidyn Sophia, (twins).
I really like Finley
For the name Olivia there’s a spelling I really love “Alyvia”. I don’t know why but it’s super pretty and a wee bit different/unique and I really like the nickname Ally.
For the name “Guy” there is different way to pronounce it in French which is also lovely. It’s pronounced “Gi” where I am from (Quebec, Canada) 🇨🇦! Its short and sweet!
That's cute! xxx
You are such a sweetheart, thank you for addressing my dilemma. I am going to play around with the other names you suggested for Olivia but like you said, it’s popular for a reason! :) xx
Ah you're so welcome! Hope you find something you love and Olivia is gorgeous x
Loved this so much! Hope to see this as a mini series
Ah hopefully I'll do another one; it was loads of fun as lots of siblings and different questions xx
if Olivia is too popular but you like the sound you can go with a more unique spelling of Alivia; it can be pronounced the same way😊
Great idea x
Or Livia
Someone at my school spells it Aliveah
Or you could use Libby-kind of the shorter version of Olivia but I've known a couple of girls just called Libby!
Loved this video and all of your baby name videos! ❤️
Do any of y’all in the comments have an idea of a girl name that goes with siblings Evelyn Grace and Elisabeth Pearl? Doesn’t have to be an e name, although that would be nice. Having the hardest time finding another girl name! 😬
Oh, I wish I would have seen this sooner. I know of many names. If you want another E name Eliana Lucia is so beautiful, or Eliana Violet. Eloise Margaret, Eleanor Giselle. Also, Nora Celeste is very pretty or Nora Violet.
Annabelle Lily, Abigail Lauren, Emilia Rosalie, or Beatrice Jane.
I love the name Rosalie! I first saw it in Twilight and fell in love.
Ì love just sitting and listening to you not that I am having any more babies, but I love names too, fascinating to watch you x
In the US Ira is used as a boys name a lot. I love it for a boy. Never thought about it for a girl. Hmm, interesting.🤔
I’m not planning on having kids any time soon but I love thinking about it and watching your videos.
I saw some Pretty little liars names in there😂🙌🏻
OMG I need to watch that show!!! Everyone talks about the names on it but I've never seen it - ha ha!
10:52 made me giggle - Freya and Ingrid, Witches of East End anyone? Haha
Wow this video is amazing!! I love all your baby name videos but this was just so interesting...I spent most of the time scribbling down names (I'm not even pregnant!) x
ha ha - I'm always the same! I just love names! x
im only 14, but i honestly get so excited over baby names and i thought i’d share the ones i plan to use. i have so many years until i have kids so ill probably forget about these but still ahaha. these are first and middle names.
1. avalyn “avie” marie (girl)
2. manilla kale (boy)
3. marlowe jean (girl)
4. finley “finn” keaton (boy)
Loved this video! I have a Finley and Felix and am pregnant with my third - really like Amber for a girl, but haven't a clue on boys!
Ah we have the same taste! I LOVED Amber too; I'll come up with some ideas for you. Are you avoiding a third F name? xxxx
Thanks Sarah xxxx
Victor Outlaw sounds so good!
I went to school with a girl named Spencer Outlaw, that's so funny you suggested it!
Xx
Yes I LOVE the name Summer too; it's my nieces name! And their new baby name Romy - so cute! x
I named my Tripplets
Rayne
Dawn
Reece
Help! Imogen or Innogen? I love them both, Imogen for it’s softer sound and literary theme, and Innogen for it’s Celtic roots and uniqueness. Any advice?
My daughter is imogen-macie we call her immy for short
Leigh Blackburn That’s adorable! What a sweet nickname. :)
Ingrid and Inez are very popular names in my country (Nicaragua) and yes they are both very beautiful names I actually think that Ingrid Inez sounds pretty together or it does in spanish lol 😊
Ah yes it does sound really pretty and unique together! xx
I had a Nicaraguan classmate named Inez!
@@meljstephan really? That's so cool
Fionn is typically pronounced in Ireland Fee-Un, it's a beautiful name.
Luljetta Jane
I think sounds cute 👍🏻
My cousin is a Guy, and it totally works for him. Just love it!!
I’ve been given the amazing task of naming my new sibling! My younger sibling twins are named Carter Noel and Bear Blue, the new baby is a girl and I really love the name Winter but I’m struggling for a middle name! Do you have any other name suggestions and can you help with middle names?💞
Alyssa Clarke Winter Rayne
winter Snow
Not sure if you've already done it but I would love to hear an Elvish/ethereal baby name list. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and my husband has picked an elvish sounding name if we have a daughter. We havent fully agreed on a male name and I'm wondering if theres many male elvish names out there :)
Oooh yes there are some lovely ones; i've included a few in my nature names and various things but will give you some ideas in the next video x
Wow no I've never heard it before - it's beautiful. Wow xx
you make me so happy !!
Loveeee so many of the names you suggested today!! Amazing job!
My Top 3 favourite girl names :
1. Rosie (Rose)
2. Chloe
3. Alexis (Lexi)
My top 3 favourite boy names :
1. Jack
2. Archie
3. Elliot
I love all of these names
I'm having trouble finding a middle name that flows with my favorite boys name, Finnley. I think Finnley is a little feminine for a boy (?) so would like to contrast it with a strong middle name. The only one I've come up with so far is Alexander but not 100% on it.
Ah I'll have a think for you; Alexander is nice though x
Any suggestions on a sibling (girl or boy) for Freya Isla Ahlkvist? We like to keep it Scandanavian and/or Celtic.
Love this video idea ❤️ Please do another. x
